Author's Note: I've got story ideas from AUs~ A lot of them in fact. This story is the only story in an AU that has only one part right now... I just don't have another idea for the AU that involves the two kingdoms of Sun and Moon. 

 At some point I really need to make an addition that just describes all the AUs that I have. Oh well. Add that to the list of things that I could do.

 Iskall's POV:

 I fixed my cloak as the sun started to go down. The night was... Well, the night felt like a blizzard that wants to freeze people for even considering to step outside into the night. Good news is that I have friends with the equipment needed to survive the weather. It's just that I don't have hybrid parts to really flourish out here. 

 " Iskall, I-I think we should just turn back and go back to the kingdom. " I turned my head towards my slightly shorter friend. His wings were wrapped around his tunic as his tail feathers spread out. I stopped, " The sunset is beautiful up here though, and I want you to meet a friend of mine." I replied with a grin. 

 The bird hybrid sighed as he adjusted his red and yellow clothes. He was shivering from the cold as I frowned and took my cloak off. I wrapped the smaller man up causing the feathers around his neck to poof up.

 " Iskall, this is ridiculous..." my friend mumbled as I shrugged, " Have I ever done something bad man? Have I ever had a bad idea that harmed either of us?" I questioned as the bird nodded, " Yeah, you broke your leg last week after getting into a fight with Ash." he frowned.

 I rolled my eye as I cut through some brush that lead towards the cave on the cliff. I continued to walk, " Dude, Ash wanted to spar, so I took him up on his offer. It was not a bad idea or something bad. It just.... didn't work out the way it should've..." I put my hand on the still, slightly sore arm. 

 The two of us continued to walk up the coursing path until we reached the cave. Not many people nor hybrids know this, but this black and grey cave leads to the Moon Kingdom. The two of us stopped and looked out to the sunset. 

 While my friend was distracted by 'the glorious sun', I stepped back to the cave, " Alright man, I know that you are working on that machine for your king, but I have someone that I want you to meet." I whispered to the cave as a head poked out from the darkness. A tall, gangly man with yellow eyes that glowed brightly stared back at me. The man, my other friend, stepped out from the darkness and winced slightly at the sun. 

 " You are honestly lucky I have my scarf and hood..." my moon friend sighed as he pulled his blue scarf over his mustached face and the black hood over his head. I led the taller man over to the shorter man.

 " Okay, Iskall, I admit.... This sunset is beautiful..." the bird finally spoke after praying to the sun. He turned around and fixed his glasses. In a few seconds, his wings flared out as he screamed. The other man winced and moved behind me.

 I raised my hands, " This, this is the friend I told you about! He works up here on machines and such." I told him causing my moon friend to wave awkwardly. The bird hybrid flew back down and handed me my cloak back. 

 The two people stared at each other as the sun fully went down. This caused my tall friend to take off his protective gear, but the winged friend shivered even more as his eyelids lowered slightly.

 Once the two parties could look at each others faces, and I lit a torch, they continued to stare at each other's features. The taller man's long, cat ears twitched as his tail wiggled; a blue blush appeared on his cheeks and over the bridge of his nose. I smirked slightly as I glanced over at the other man. The member of the sun kingdom's face was a deep, flustered red grew on his face as they continued to stare at each other. 

 I cleared my throat causing the two adults to look at me, " Well gentlemen, are you two just going to stare at each other, or are you guys going to introduce yourselves before the bird passes out." I mused slyly as I looked at the bird hybrid; he was swaying slightly.

 " R-Right..." the moon cat mumbled as he shuffled slightly. The two men looked at me then each other again. I let out a sigh as I watched the two begin to converse.

 " I... I'm Mumbo Jumbo.... O-Of the Moon Kingdom... I work on machines for the king... I... You're... b-beautiful..." Mumbo's ears went down. 

 " I'm... Grian. Just Grian... I'm from the Sun Kingdom... I work on buildings with a small group of other people... Thank... Thank you... You're.... You're good looking... t....toooo..." 

 I handed Mumbo the torch as Grian fell into my arms. Mumbo anxiously looked at it; he said that he was used to fire, but being suddenly handed it was obviously not fun. 

 I let out a sigh, " I'll let you put out the blaze and go back to your work... I gotta get this guy back to the kingdom before our roommate misses both him and me. Goodbye for now Mumbo..." I mused as I started to walk down the path towards home. Mumbo waved goodbye as he snuffed out the torch.

 Mumbo stood silently as he walked Iskall and his new 'friend' from the Sun Kingdom disappeared back into the lush jungle. The cat hybrid's tail twitched as he smiled slightly. It was... weird for Mumbo to feel like this... The Sun people were described to him as ruthless and damning. A kind of people that execute their prisoners or burn marks into them before releasing them into the dangerous, heat-striken world. 

 Yet, yet this small bird hybrid with his lovely eyes. How could someone like that attack and kill someone? Mumbo didn't really know unless the small man had that darker side to him. Mumbo sighed as his ears and tail twitched. He slowly walked back towards the cave until a rock was thrown and hit the top of the cave. Sparks fell down causing Mumbo to duck down and whimper.

 The moon cat hissed and flinch as something jumped down from on top of the cave. Mumbo turned and looked at another hybrid that landed on the ground; their cloak fluttering slightly as they landed.

 " So, Mumbo Jumbo, the esteemed machinist amongst the night, smitten by some bird hybrid from the sun kingdom?" a small growl came from the figure. Mumbo's ears went back as he straightened up. 

 Mumbo grumbled, " Mighty... Why do you even bother with people's affairs in life?" he questioned as the wolftiger's eyes glowed just as much as his did. Mighty fixed her cloak and yawned, " Being an outsider of the kingdom does that to you man..." Mighty's tail twitched as she walked around, " Haven't you thought about why Iskall brought Grian here? Why he has no marks?" she raised her eyebrow.

 The cat hybrid lowered himself slightly, " He's just a nice guy?" he questioned. Mighty nodded quickly, " Well, yeah he's a nice guy, but he's unaligned like me and probably just as bored. That's why he can appear in both kingdoms, yet he never stays around one for so long." 

 Mumbo frowned as Mighty shrugged, " Iskall cares about the both of you, but hear this, love can be a dangerous thing.... So long Mumby." Mighty's tail twitched as the hybrid turned into a wolftiger and disappeared into the jungle.

 The moon cat let out a sigh as he went back into the his cave. He wanted to do work on his machines, but after the encounters he had this night, he just wanted to go home and take a night nap......
