Buzzin'
Author's Note: Tango's episode with the bees, am I right?
------------------------------
Impulse's POV:
I slowly glided down and landed in front of Toon Towers; the infamous bases of my good buddy Tango. I looked behind me as Etho landed next to me, " Thanks for coming, Etho. Zed's been busy, and also, only you know where those bee hives are." I looked at the Canadian as he nodded.
Etho's brought up his communicator and showed a map of Tango's base, " So, I made a small map of where I put the hives." he showed me as I nodded, " Why'd you make a map?" I questioned as we took back off into the air and flew into Tango's storage tower.
" Business reasons." Etho simply replied as he led the way. I blinked. I really should get Xisuma and sit down with Etho about putting giant insects into peoples' bases in order to make a quick diamond off of them. I sighed. Well, first I need to worry about Tango.
I got multiple messages from him that stated, " The buzzing just won't stop!" and other combinations of words similar to this. Honestly, I kind of regret signing Tango up for Etho's service. See, I just thought it would be good fun.
The Ice man and I kept flying around the base. Each time we reached a place where a hive was, we found that it was already gone. I suppose that Tango already destroyed them before we arrived. It was weird though. No matter where we went, Tango wasn't around.
Eventually we stopped where we started, the main storage room where all of Tango's chest were. I took out my communicator and checked who was online. I nodded my head and showed Etho.
It still said that Tango was online.
I clicked on Tango and typed a message to him, " Tango, where are you man? Etho and I are here." I pressed the send button.
Ring rring!
The two of us perked up as some hissing came from around the corner. I glanced at Etho and jumped when Tango's communicator came flying from the other room and crashed against the wall. It smacked the wall and clacked to the ground.
Etho held up his misting hand as Tango crawled out from behind the corner. The hermit's red eyes were glaring at us as his lion-like ears twitched. I slowly held my arms up as I moved towards Tango; his whole body was twitching as smoke fumed out of his nostrils and mouth.
" Tango?"
Tango let out a growl as he stood up and ran towards us. I braced myself for impact, but Etho's yells caused me to open my eyes.
" Etho!" I gasped as I looked at the grounded Etho. The hermit was pushing at Tango's shoulders as he tried to bite and claw at Etho's face. Small sparks came out of Tango's mouth and made contact with the uncovered part of Etho's face causing him to struggle.
I hurried forward and wrapped my arms around Tango's torso. The hermit's tail thrashed as I repeatedly tried to yank Tango off of Etho.
" Etho, use your ice powers!" I shouted as him as I continued to pull, " I-I need a direct shot man! My arms are a bit busy!"
Tango kept making animalistic sounds as I fully wrapped myself around him and threw my arms to the side. When I let go, Tango went flying and crashed into the chests. The hermit let out a loud screech as he collided with the chests and slid down.
Etho stood up and quickly froze Tango's arms and legs to the ground. The ice also went around his torso causing him to whine softly. I looked at Etho and looked at him, " Are you okay?" I asked as Etho nodded, " A bit short of breath." he admitted with a shrug.
I walked over to Tango. The hermit eyes were barely open, but the good news was that his eyes had stopped glowing, " It hurts..." Tango whispered as his tail twitched. I nodded, " I know buddy..." I whispered back as I looked between Tango and Etho.
The Canadian walked over to me, " Etho, let's move Tango to the bed and see what's wrong with me." I told him as he nodded. Etho melted the ice, and we gently moved Tango to his bed. Tango was laid down onto his back.
I took Tango's shirt and jacket off and revealed multiple bee stings that covered his chest, arms, and when I rolled him other, his entire back. If I had to guess, they were also on his legs. I frowned. This explains why he was twitching...
" Mrrrr~"
Tango made a small purring sound as his ears and tail twitched. I looked at Etho, " Can you get me a health potion, both kinds, and some bandages?" I asked him as he nodded and took out his shulker boxes. I looked at the bee stings and felt Tango's head, " Can you also make an icepack?" I added as Etho nodded once again.
After a few minutes, Etho gave me the supplies and I got to work. I put the drinkable potion to Tango's mouth causing him to slowly drink at the potion. I poured the other health potion on Tango's bare back. Tango tensed up before settling down.
I continued to bandage Tango up until he finished up the health potion. Etho took the bottle away and put it back into his shulker box. Once I finished bandaging Tango up, Tango shivered slightly and moved towards me, " Mrrr..."
The hermit slowly forced himself up and hugged against me, " I keep hearing buzzing.... a-and it hurts." Tango whispered as his tail twitched. I hugged him back until he fell asleep in my arms. I looked up at Etho and narrowed my eyes.
" Etho, you need to go to everyone's bases and get rid of those insects." I growled at him as the Canadian nodded. Etho gathered up his materials and took off into the sky. I looked at Tango and rubbed the back of his head. Tango's tail was gently wagging as he continued to nuzzle against me....
