0.7 superman

Eyes sharp Serenna watched for any signs of intruders, while the others brought the casket of Superman out the truck Barry had driven to STAR Labs. The dark Amazon was still not optimistic and the tension between Bruce and Diana grew every minute, while she had stated her thoughts very clear. Her head turned to the side as she heard someone land behind her and Bruce was standing there again clothed in his Batsuit.

Serenna still found it looked a bit ridiculous, but also seeing the others in their costumes made her keep her mouth shut. Victor and Arthur carried the casket inside and with wonder she watched how the spaceship opened up for them.

The form of it was different than anything she has ever seen and she had a feeling that it was the last of it's kind.

"This is amazing," Victor said while he stared at the water below them that was also a part of the ship. Serenna felt no connection towards it, the water seemed different and dirty like it had been used for something gruesome to built. "This is crazy," Arthur stated, the trident proud in his hand. "Oh, but now it's crazy," Barry almost mocked him while Serenna rolled her eyes.

"This is still the most idiotic idea I have ever heard," she told them, hands on her hips like she was giving them a lecture. "Yeah, you lunatics better know what you're doing," Arthur agreed, head turning towards Victor who held the mother box safely in his hands.

The robot looking creatures inside the ship watched them with caution and Serenna saw the look on Diana's face who had been quiet since they got here.

It made her worry.

She has never seen the princess lash out like that before and pushing Bruce was something she would have never done in the past. But then again, the past was the past for a reason, the future and the now was waiting for them holding surprises on the journey.

Arthur carried the casket down before opening it slowly as Serenna caught a glance of this Superman. Carefully Arthur carried him out, letting him down on the yellow water.

Victor opened the box while Arthur pushed the body under water and she threw both of them a quick glance. "Drowning the body, great. What now? Drowning the box and the ship with us in it too?" The sarcasm left her lips quickly raising an eyebrow at the end of her question. She felt the look Diana gave her but said nothing about it as Victor raised his hand. She just saw how he laid his hand on the panel, his lamp on the forehead glowing white in the process.

"Lex Luthor fried the circuits bringing this creature to life, there's not enough charge to wake the box," he told them seriously and Serenna turned her head towards Bruce.

"Marvelous Plan you had there."

Barry looked between them, lips opening to finally form the words he wanted to say almost at the beginning. "I might be able to do it," Barry finally told them, his eyes meeting the once's from Bruce. "I might be able to jumpstart it out if I can get enough distance, I can conduct a significant electrical current. I might be able to wake the box if that's," he paused for a second looking at everyone in the room.

"Still what we want."

Bruce gave him a nod. "We have to try." In a flash, the boy disappeared only leaving blue streaks behind while Serenna waited impatiently for something to happen. "The Mother box is ready, you have to charge at the moment it touches the fluid," Victor told him and the dark Amazon stared at the box that was held above them.

"5."

"The ladies are right," Arthur started again. "This is a bad idea."

"4."

Serenna bit her lip, almost nervous what was about to happen.

"3."

"2."

The mother box dropped from above before Victor could say the last number.

"1."

With wide eyes, Serenna watched as the box came closer and closer to the fluid while no Barry was in sight. Sudden lightning bolts surrounded the fluid and amazed the dark-haired Amazon watched what was about to happen next. The room went dark again but she could hear how something, maybe a machine worked in the process.

Suddenly something shot out of the fluid, breaking through the roof of the ship. Serenna shielded her eyes as the bright light blinded her for a second before her head turned towards Diana. "What was that?"

"That was Superman," the Princess told her breathless before they went outside quickly.

Serenna saw the shirtless man standing in front of a broken statue and as he turned around, Diana smiled a little. "He's back." The dark Amazon just watched the man carefully, sensing that something was off about him. This Superman seemed a bit irritated by them, furrowing his brows while he watched them. "He's not all right," Arthur told them, his eyes not leaving Superman for a second.

"Arthur you need to relax, your adrenaline is spiking," Victor cooly told the man with the wild eyes. "Because he's not all right," he replied through gritted teeth trying to make a point.

"Oh no," Barry started as Superman walked towards them, eyes fierce. "Should be bow? Or show our bellies?" Serenna threw him a sharp look and the boy shut his mouth immediately. Victor made a sudden move and confused the others looked at him. "What are you doing?"

"It's the armors Defense System, it's stronger since the interface I can't control it."

His arm morphed into a weapon while the others screamed for Victor to stop, but he couldn't contain it. He shot at Superman, who dodged the fire easily before he turned to them. His Features said it all, he was ready for battle. "Kal-El, no!" Diana yelled as his eyes turned from blue to a glowing orange at first, like a fire waiting to rise up.

Red beams shot out of his eyes, hitting Victor who at first could hold it. But in the end, he flew backward bringing Superman to destroy a police car in the process.

"He's confused, he doesn't know who he is," Diana told them and Serenna's features grew serious, her stance getting bolder as she could feel the water of the little park behind her begging to be used. "Pet Sematary," Barry whispered with fright in his big brown eyes. Superman picked up the head from the statue with ease, throwing it at Serenna and Diana.

Both Amazons used their words to cut through the statue, breaking it in half. "Serenna," Diana started, turning her head just a little to her. "Arthur, we need to restrain him," she added and the Aquaman didn't need to be told twice.

With a yell he jumped up, towards Superman, his trident raised for it to hit his skin. But Superman punched him before he could come any closer and Arthur fell back. Diana let out a battle cry, hitting Superman with her shield. But he used the same force against her, making the Amazon land harshly against the ground. "I got him," Victor yelled before he shot something at him again, bringing him to stumble back a little.

This time Diana used her Lasso of truth, letting it wrap around the forearm of Superman trying to push him forward. He was stronger than Serenna had thought as he could stand still and rather use the Lasso against Diana. A few grunts left her mouth as she steadied herself.

"Kal-El," she started again, not breaking eye contact. "The last son of Krypton, remember who you are." The words had an effect on him, he looked confused towards the ground, trying to sort the thoughts in his mind. "It seems like it's working," Serenna yelled towards the princess. "Tell me who you-," Superman took ahold of the lasso, throwing Diana towards him, almost griping her neck as he held her up easily.

Anger stirred inside Serenna and she could feel her power floating in her veins. Arthur attacked him, but even him could Superman hold off, gripping his Trident in his hand. Victor joined them and now Serenna's eyes turned into a glowing blue again. Raising her hands, the water from the park behind her heard her command. Barry ran towards them, trying to fight Superman but he was no match. As Barry flew against the wall, Serenna released a scream moving her hands forward. The water shot towards Superman with a force he could not hold.

He landed harshly against the wall as the water landed on the ground again, covering him in the wetness. His blue eyes found hers and he was surprised by her force. The dark Amazon was ready to use it again, as another voice filled the air.

"Clark."

Serenna stopped her movements, her eyes still glowing as Superman looked at Bruce. "I know you." He wanted him, he wanted Bruce but Diana landed between them, still ready to fight him. "Please don't make me do this," she mumbled and launched at him. He got a hold of her bracelets before she could use them, making her look at him. Superman's head knocked against Diana's as she did the same to him again.

It was so quick and before Serenna knew it, Diana laid on the ground again, as Superman flew towards Bruce. Even if she had told Bruce something else, her hand shot out, letting the water wrap around the neck of Superman throwing him backwards just in time.

"Stand down, I really don't want to hurt you," Serenna hissed watching him still with glowing eyes. She knew that Diana was holding back, not unleashing her true power, probably because she didn't want to hurt him. And Serenna tried to keep up, glaring at him while she felt the slight aching in her bones. Superman met her glare with the same look on his face before his blue eyes turned red again.

Protective she formed a shield with the water so that the beams could not hurt her in any way. One hand was stretched out to hold the shield up, while her other one let the fluid turn into ice. He was distracted and she was willing to use it.

The ice hit his shoulder and the beams stopped as he tumbled back. Whatever he was, Serenna could not do much damage, even if she wanted to.

"Kal-El," she tried, using the name that Diana had spoken out just moments before, in hope to cast a reaction. "Try to remember, there is no need to a fight," the dark Amazon added. She didn't see him coming, he was so fast and before she knew it, she landed in the water pit on her side. A grunt left her lips as she landed on the hard ground half underneath the water, feeling how her eyes turned brown again. Her bones ached and she pressed her lips tightly together so that no other sound could slip out.

"Need help?"

She raised her head as he heard the deep voice of Arthur, he was standing before her his hand stretched out for her to take, offering his help to get her off the ground. Slowly she took it and to Serenna's surprise, he was careful helping her up, like she was a fragile being that could break any minute.

His rough hand felt nice against her soft skin, while she stared in his yellow eyes. Arthur's wild eyes held something different inside, something Serenna had never seen.

Finally, she tore her eyes away, her fingers letting go of his before she could get used to the feeling. As the dark Amazon turned around she could see how Superman flew away with a woman in his arms, leaving the rest behind and Bruce on the floor. "That was such terrific idea," she murmured again as they walked towards the bat that still laid on the ground, holding his hand over his ribs. But at that moment something else caught her attention and it left her angry and defeated because Serenna knew exactly what she just saw, even as Victor tried to hurry after him.

"Steppenwolf has the last mother box."
