The End Is Nigh (Final Arc)
One Week Timeskip...
Izuku woke up to the sound of his ringing alarm clock. Lifting his sheets, he found both Toga and Eri, both sound asleep in his bed, something that happens on a regular ever since she moved in, which really made him wonder why she had her own room, or why she made sure to keep Eri at least 20 feet away from it. Getting up, he immediately got to finalizing his work. The bar looked empty, and the weapons were all moved to the main room. This was their final attack, the final deciding battle he has been building up to. His troops were ready and set, and Kurogiri behind the bar, giving him breakfast.
"Have the last of the Nomu's been mobilized?" Asked Izuku.
"Indeed they have, Young Master." Replied Kurogiri.
"What about the guys? have they been made aware?" Asked Izuku.
"We have." A voice answered him from behind.
Sitting next to him was Dabi, Spinner and Sachi.
"Everyone's been made aware." Said Sachi, "We're just waiting on you."
"Good, give me about three more days to tie up the loose ends in our plan of attack, and then, it will be time for us to crush the heroes once and for all." Said Izuku, "It was about time the world begun to fear quirks like they used to."
"Fear quirks? Excuse me but what exactly is the plan here?" Asked Sachi.
"To revive the fear that everyone has forgotten: The fear of the quirked." Answered Izuku, "And we will do so by destroying the one thing that makes them feel safe: the heroes. Once they lose faith in the heroes, they will have no one to believe in, and all of a sudden, they will start fearing each other because there will be no one stopping people from rampaging around with quirks."
Izuku pulled out a vial filled with white liquid.
"And once they start to fear, they will be begging me to inject them." laughed the villain boss maniacally.
"You did it?" asked Kurogiri with excitement, "You successfully replicated the Silent Plague virus?"
"Yep, I did." Izuku said with confidence, "Soon, the work will not only be back to quirkless, but they will be happy with it! And maybe even see me as a hero, for saving them from their biggest fear: themselves."
However, Kurogiri looked at his with skepticism.
"Why was I not made aware that the virus was perfected?" Thought the bartender as he carried on with his dishwashing, "Something's not right..."
Nearly two whole has passed since Mightless's last attack, and the world seemed at ease. Endeavor never publicly admitted his past crimes, instead opting to change his ways before revealing everything was said and done. While the League of Villains's hideout was never found, the pro heroes never let up their search, although, they have calmed down quite a bit.
Sadly, the same couldn't be said for Class A nor B. Once Class B decided to get involved into Class A's problems, they started meeting up with each other on a regular basis. Of course keeping their intentions secret from the teachers in risk of getting expelled. This time around, the group met up in the Class B dorms's main room.
"It's been nearly two whole weeks and still there's no sign of Midoriya!" Kaminari ranted, "I can't tell if that's a good thing or a bad thing!"
"Good for us, but bad for him." Kendo deduced, "The only way this can be bad for us is if he is planning a massive attack, but there are several reasons that involves the harm of him to back up the reasons to his inactivity."
"He could have been betrayed by his men, killed, or has simply given up!" Juzo added.
"Don't give me that attitude!" Katsuki pointed at the B class student aggressively, "Deku wouldn't give up so easily, nor would he have been betrayed by his men, I mean, he took on All Might and Half and Half!"
"Actually, we may have a lead." A voice was heard.
It was Momo, accompanied by Jiro, Toru and Tokoyami, the optimal stealth and recon group that Shigaraki suggested at one point.
"You found something!?" Asked Kirishima, excited.
"It isn't much, but we came across a vial lying around by Takoba beach." Said Jiro.
"Takoba beach? As in that one beach that had been a land fill for years due to currents washing up all sorts of trash to shore? What were you doing there?" Asked Ochaco.
"It doesn't matter. What matters, is that this vial might the the lead we were looking for!" Jiro replied.
"It's an empty vial! What the hell can it do to lead us to Izuku?" Asked Tetsu Tetsu.
Momo walked up to the student, holding the vial up to his nose. Getting a closer look, the student noticed an odd text, graved at the bottom of the vial: Property of Blue-jay inc.
"Blue-jay? Never heard of that company." Tetsu Tetsu asked.
"Me neither, but, after doing some digging, we found out that it was a Japanese medical company founded by this guy." Momo explained, showing them her phone, "Hisashi Midoriya."
The two classes froze at the revelation. The man on her phone looked almost exactly like an adult Izuku.
"The company shut down when Hisashi was accused of illegal drug production, though the drug he was making was classified information. That event happened nearly 15 years ago, long before Takoba beach became a landfill." explained Momo.
"And so the plot thickens." commented Awase, "You think that means that Izuku's attempting to finish what his father has started?"
"Possibly." Added Toru.
"To carry on the will of one's father from the shadows, and finalize the dark elixir." Added Tokoyami, in his brooding tone.
"But how will knowing his plan get us any closer to Izuku?" Asked Todoroki.
Tokoyami took out a map of Japan in response, laying it on the table.
"Hisashi's main office building was located in Tokyo, but he had a back up lab all the way in the Kanagawa prefecture, one that was never found, but that was rumored to contain almost all of his research."
"You think that's Izuku's hiding spot?" Asked Kendo.
"It's a gamble, but one we might have to take."
Tartarus, the hell of Greek mythology, where those with evil hearts burn, with no hopes of escape, a fitting name for Japan's most secure prison, situated on it's own artificial island. A black car drove through the metal bridge, connecting the prison to the rest of civilization, as the former number one hero exited, accompanied by two prison guards for added safety, as he was taken down towards the deepest floors of the facility, where they hold criminals ranging from A ranks and above.
Detective Naosama followed steadily behind the shriveled blond skeleton that once was the Symbol of Peace, as they walked past cells holding several notorious criminals. Some of which stared at them with spite. Eventually, they reached a massive metallic door, as the guards opened it using a four layer access code, escorting Yagi into the room.
"Ah, Toshinori, it's been a while." A voice was heard as the man he addressed sat in front of him.
"It's my displeasure, All For One." Yagi grunted back.
"I supposed you are here to ask me the same old questions, am I right? Let me guess, you still think I'm lying about not knowing where Young Midoriya is, are you?" Asked the former villain boss.
"Don't you dare call him that! Someone like you don't deserve to address him as "Young Midoriya!"" Yagi hissed at him.
"Why aren't I deserving? I've done plenty to help him through his past traumas, I've took him under my wing, cared for him, gave him a caring family and even my quirk! What more do you ask of me to do to gain the permission to address him as Young Midoriya?"
"You brainwashed him!"
"I inspired him." All For One replied without losing his cool, "He was already a villain when I first met him, selling details and information to common thugs and low level crooks, as well as coming up with plans to outsmart and defeat heroes. I simply asked him to join me, and he did it without a second thought."
"You're lying!"
"And you're still naive enough to think that he still can have a positive image of heroes after the symbol of peace himself took a steaming shit on his lifelong dreams all because he was quirkless. Face it "All Might", you are in no position to accuse me."
Hearing this, a shadow loomed over the former pro hero's eye.
"I just wanted to be honest, fearing that I would drive him to his death afterwards." All Might muttered.
"And yet you still pursued you dreams as a hero, despite being in the exact same situation as him. Even if you wanted to be realistic, you should have taken your position into account. Becoming the symbol of peace comes at great costs Toshinori, and sometimes, it shows. That faithful moment that spawned the villain we know today could have been avoided, had you lied."
"Lying is not the hero way!"
"But crushing the dreams of a lifelong fan is?"
"I tried to make up for it!" All Might retorted, "I offered him a VIP Ticket to my fan club and even gave him a ride home!" The former hero rebutted.
All For One burst into laughter upon hearing this.
"All Might! My dude! Stop joking with me! I'll get riddled by bullets if I laugh too hard!" All For One laughed, "You do realize that what you've done back then is the equivalent of pouring salt into one's wound!?"
The former hero lowered his head.
"I know..." He said with a guilty tone, "I was just trying to quickly fix my initial mistake."
"And you failed, then left your train wreck to his parents, oh, scratch that, his singular parent to fix." All For One continued, "And then you decided to cope by just completely forgetting him. I mean, you are the symbol of peace, so one singular mistake that no one noticed will eventually get lost in the mountains of people you save, surely! So tell me, hero, how did that idea work out for you?"
All might had no replies to that. In the end, it all came back to him. The amount of lives lost, the amount of people in fear, it was all because of him. He had failed as a hero and as an inheritor of One For All.
"I can tell it didn't go well, what a twist." All For One said with sarcasm, "The world's greatest hero turned out to be the cause of the world's greatest villain."
From the one way glass, Naosama clenched his notebook and pen in anger of what he was hearing. The prison guards couldn't believe their ears either. To think that the number one hero, the one they had trusted as the ideal Symbol of peace, the messiah practically, turned out to be the bringer of one of the most dangerous criminal in the world.
"I-I can't believe this..." Uttered one of the prison guards, "He actually said that!?"
"Should we leak this to the press?" Asked another.
"No." Naosama insisted, "Doing so will only plunge Japan deeper into despair. We're without a symbol of peace as it is, giving away such information with be like desecrating the previous symbol's grave."
Looking at All Might, he was also surprised. He has never seen him in such a depressed state. He looked practically suicidal at this point.
"Not that it matters anyways." All For One suddenly said, "Soon, it will all be over."
"Huh? What do you mean!?" Asked All Might.
"Tell me Toshinori, do you believe in fate?" Asked All For One.
"Why are you asking me this?" Asked All might hesitantly.
The former boss smiled.
"Something grand is about to happen. Call it war, call it a disaster, whatever you want, but it will indeed happen. And when it does, things will undergo massive changes. The concept of heroes and villains will blur, and God himself will rise, rise and become the martyr to a new world where there is no heroes, nor villains." All For One laughed, "This will be bigger than 9/11, bigger than Destro's quirk revolution and almost on par with the discovery of quirks itself!"
The former hero frowned at that revelation, remembering what Night-Eye said during their last visit. And from what he heard, it wasn't gonna be pretty.
"How do you know this?" Asked the former hero.
"Let's just say I know Young Midoriya enough to deduce what kind of plans he has, as well as being smart enough to know how well his plans will turn out." All For One smiled, "And mark my words All Might, when that day comes, you'll be working with me."
That last sentence was enough to provoke the pro hero.
"Do you really think I'm that easy to manipulate!?" All Might yelled at him, briefly entering his muscle form.
"I don't, I just love seeing you lose your cool. You being the one who does it is plenty satisfying enough, but something about you being a "Symbol of Peace" just makes your anger and frustrations much more enjoyable to watch." Laughed All For One, "Why else do you think did I mold Tenko into the man you know today?"
"Leave Shimura out of this!" All Might growled at him, "Haven't you done enough to him!?"
"And there it is again, the assumption that what I did was evil. Then tell me, what was I supposed to do? Just leave the poor boy to root out in the streets? After that boy had just murdered an entire orphanage?"
"It's our duty as a hero to save and care for children who are in great pain!"
"And protecting the innocent, and keeping the streets safe, and entertaining, and staring commercials, the list goes on. So what, the police isn't good enough? What about singers, and other such entertainers? They're popularity are completely overshadowed by heroes! It seems almost as if everything in the world will be done by heroes one day, to the point where there won't be another job. I've seen heroes do community service, like there isn't enough college freshman doing that already." All For One ranted, "That's the problem with you heroes, at the rate you're going, those unable to become heroes are left either without a job, or picking up after the heroes. It's all heroes, nobody else."
"We risk our lives daily! And all for the sake of making a better world, a better society." All Might rebutted.
"And we are not allowed to do the same? Normal folks are obligated to watch people burn to death while waiting for pro heroes to arrive, despite clearly being able to save them? People who aren't in costume can only watch? I can't help a small child in serious pain, but have to call and wait for men in colorful costumes to show up?" Asked All For One rhetorically, "People nowadays have developed a lack of involvement because of you heroes. No longer will they take matter into their own hands, rather, they will wait for you heroes to come and fix everything, they have become dependent of you."
"Then it's for the better! You're meaning to tell me that you'd rather have innocent bystanders risk their lives rather than to have professionals do the work!?" All Might barked back at him.
"Then what will happen should a hero fall? What would have should they all fall? Suddenly, no one will know what to do because they never did anything. All of a sudden, they are helpless, they shut down, thinking that it's every man for himself. They can no longer rely on themselves anymore. And that point is exactly what Young Midoriya will expose to the world."
"We will stop him All For One, I swear on my life!" All Might said, walking out of the room.
"Oh I'm sure you will." All For One laughed with sarcasm, "Don't worry, we'll be seeing each other very soon."
As the students arrived in class, they froze in shock as an unexpected figure walked into class, dressed in formal attire no less.
"Hello class, your Homeroom teacher Aizawa will be unavailable for today, so I'm going to be your substitute for the day."
Murmurs spread across the class as the substitute (keeping his identity secret for shock value) waited for the voices to settle down.
"Classes will soon begin, so I suggest you save your questions for later." Said the substitute.
"You can't be serious, they actually let you be out substitute teacher!?" Sero asked.
"They didn't, but Aizawa insisted. Seeing how "rational" he always was, they accepted, next thing I know, I get dragged out of my apartment and put into this teacher attire. But, at the same time, with how poorly All Might's been teaching you lot, I think it's about time you were taught in the right way." Said the substitute teacher, "So let's start from the beginning. I know most of you know me already, but as it is obligated in the teacher's protocol, I am obligated to present myself on my first day."
He cleared his throat and lifted his chalk, writing his name on the blackboard.
"My name is Tomura Shigaraki, but you may refer to me as Shiaraki-sensei." He presented, "Now take out your notebooks to page 74 and let's get the boring stuff out of the way."
As class started, the students ended up paying more attention to Shigaraki than they did on the actual lesson. Even Katsuki, despite knowing him the best out of everyone in the class (or second best, with Izuku it's debatable, but then again, Izuku is no longer part of the class), was a little surprised to see him teach this well, despite getting some pretty good training tips from him.
"Yo, bet you 1000 yen that he'll lose his shit when I hit him with a spitball." Kaminari whispered to Mineta in a prankster-ish tone.
"You really think that's a good idea?" Asked Mineta.
"Yes, do you, Mr. Kaminari?" Asked a third voice.
Suddenly, the two students turned around to see Shigaraki, giving them a glareeven more terrifying than Aizawa's.
"Uh, I-I'm sorry Shigaraki-San, I-uh-I was just joking around."
The substitute teacher pulled Kaminari by the ear so hard that he lifted off the ground.
"Jokes are made after class, Mr. Kaminari, if you want me to end it early for you, I regret to inform you that according to Aizawa's personal rules, one can only leave the class in case of a medical emergency, meaning I am still capable of letting you leave class with justifications."
The blond student gulped in fear from merely imagining what he was gonna do to him.
"Now sit down and get back to work." Shigaraki finished, putting him back in his seat, "And it's Shigaraki-Sensei to you."
"U-Understood." Kaminari uttered, immediately getting back to work, before the teacher pointed to the top of the page.
"You did this wrong, correct it or you'll end up with a never-ending decimal number." Said the teacher, before leaving the student to do his work.
During all of this, Momo, who had already finished, looked through the window, wondering what could be keeping Aizawa so busy, as he was never absent. Just then, she saw a figure in the distance, closing in. She couldn't tell what it was, but from the shape and size of the unidentified flying objects, they looked like people. Just then, a few students who also noticed the flying objects turned to the window, starting to murmur once more.
Shigaraki, trying to break things up, turned to see what the students were seeing. Suddenly, his nerves were shot as he recognized what those flying figures were: Nomus. His latent teacher instincts took over as he turned to his students, noticing that the nomus were approaching at high speeds.
"EVERYBODY GET DOWN!" Yelled Shigaraki at the top of his lungs.
Just then, a massive figure smashed through the window, as several students who didn't have time to react were knocked over. The alarm ran at full force and screams littered the halls, indicating that the other nomus had crashed in to different sections of the building.
"What the hell is going on!?" yelled Kirishima, blocking some of the debris with his hardening.
Suddenly, a random man in suit and tie, with blades for legs, was thrown through the wall. Shigaraki took a good look at the man, immediately recognizing him.
"Class B substitute teacher Shizuki? What the hell happened?" Asked Shigaraki.
"This big beast came through the window and smashed me through the wall! You have to help me-"
Before the substitute teacher could finish, he was impaled by a tentacle, and lifted off the ground, before getting smashed through several floors. Turning back to the beast that smashed into his classroom, Katsuki, Todoroki and several other students are fighting it, but that just doesn't stand with Shigaraki.
"Stop fighting and evacuate to the dorms! We have armies of robots guarding the entrance, so you will be safe there!" Shigaraki cried out.
The students didn't answer back, they were too busy suppressing the Nomu's onslaught. Seeing this, Shigaraki needed backup, so he pulled out his phone to contact Aizawa.
"Come on, pick up!" Shigaraki said to himself, only for the line to be cut, seeing this, he let out a roar of rage, "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!?"
10 minutes earlier...
"We have finally mobilized the last of our troops." Said Kurogiri, "Our troops are set and ready to attack U.A, and we have managed to hack most of the outside screens in Tokyo as well as U.A's mainframe, which we got La Brava to thank for."
The League of Villains currently stood at the top floor of the tallest observation tower in Tokyo, after taking it over of course. The league stood by, eager to watch the chaos unfold. Spinner set up the camera facing Izuku, dressed in formal attire that made him resemble All For One in a way, just without the iron mask.
"So, what should we broadcast first?" Asked Spinner.
"Let's do U.A. Then, the rest of Tokyo." Said Izuku, "once we destroy the capital of heroes, the remaining heroes will be easy picking."
"Understood." Spinner replied.
Back at U.A, Nezu stood in awe, as a live video file was sent to him. Opening the file, he called every pro hero staff to his office, in order to watch the feed, while assigning substitute teachers for the classes. Soon, all the staffs watched in awe as Mightless was broadcasted live.
"If you are watching this, Pro Heroes, then you must act quickly. I have begun my attack on both U.A and Tokyo itself. in approximately 10 minutes, our Nomus will reach your school and destroy it. And in 15 minutes, The rest will be deployed on the streets of Tokyo. However, I am not a monster, and will give them a warning ahead of time to evacuate. But now, the choice is yours. You received this broadcast first. So either you warn the populous ahead of time, or evacuate your heroes in training. The clock is ticking, Nezu, and the end is nigh. This is the beginning of the end, the final war of heroes vs villains, good luck."
The video shut off, as the staff went nuts. Pro heroes, arguing with each other for several minutes, until Nezu broke them up.
"Listen, right now, Mightless has made his biggest move yet. I say we inform as many pro heroes as we can to protect the citizens of Tokyo and then take care of the U.A problem." Suggested Nezu.
"But what happens if they don't attack? Then they will believe we were manipulating them and get madder at us!" Said Vlad King.
"We need to make a rational decision here! Children's lives are at stake, along with millions of lives. It's best not to take any chances." Replied Aizawa.
"Alright then, I will inform all the heroes I can, and you guys, hurry up and evacuate the school, we wasted too much time arguing, this is an emergency!" Nezu ordered as the staffs rushed to evacuate the students, while Nezu informed every single hero office he knew.
Back with Mightless and co, they wrapped up the recording as they then switched the channels to target the big screens, giving them around the same message. As expected, mixed reactions were given, as Swat and police cars flooded the streets, and even some pro heroes started to show up.
"Wow, they are really bringing out everyone! I can estimate almost 500 pro heroes!" Said Yeong, looking through a telescope, "As well as 2500 police men and Special force men!"
"And that's why we have the perfect counter army." Izuku ordered, as he walked up to the massive glass walls of the top floor, looking down at the people running around, "Kurogiri, send in the Nomus, we have a war to win!"
