Extra Chapter: Evil Love
This is a chapter that takes place during chapter 35 (Tears), A bit I felt like adding to the story as a side story.
The warmth of the summer evening was well complimented with the street bands, giving sample songs to the albums they were selling across the streets of Moki Doki Cafe, which was a pretty cheesy name in Irina's opinion. It was not supposed to be anything to grand, just two close friends, hanging out. Of course, "Friends" alone was a term Irina had to reluctantly settle with when it came to talking about Sachi.
While she had feelings for the guy, she tried to do her best to oppress these feelings for reasons beyond her. Was it his charisma? His overwhelming confidence and care? She really didn't know, and she didn't want to think to much into it. Half an hour passed, and the guy she was waiting for still hadn't arrived. The waiters dropped by every now and then to check in, and it really was getting on her nerves.
"Damn it, what's taking the guy so long!?" She eventually yelled out in frustration.
"Why does it matter so much to you?" Asked a third voice, making the girl jump.
Turning around, she came face to face with Spinner and Magne, sitting one table way from her, looking at the girl with skeptical eyes.
"When you first joined the league, you were self centered, responded to no one, thinking that you're above everyone else, so, what changed?" Asked Spinner, "Heck, why are you meeting up with him at all, as a matter of fact? Shouldn't you see playing with some kidnapped victims like you always do or something?"
Now that she was looking at it, she realized that she really has underwent changes overtime. Initially, she saw this league as a mere stepping stone. until she ran into Mightless, that was, who beat her senseless twice already, reminding her of her place in the league, which was still high, but, that's only because the leagues only three ranks include Bosses (All For One, Shigaraki(formerly), Izuku, and Kurogiri, Subordinates (Everyone else) and Cannon Fodder (Nomus and hired thugs), but even then, there was an impulse to kill him in the back of her head every time she saw the kid.
But nowadays, she's okay with not being the league's high operative, she's more open to others, especially the newer recruits like The Hounds and Kim, but Sachi? That guy's a whole different story.
She still remembered when Sachi first presented himself in front of Shigaraki.
"Heya there everyone! I saw your flyer and noticed you were hiring! May I apply for this club?" The young man said loudly, kicking open the bar's door, before clutching his leg in pain, "Owwww, show not have done that!"
The rest of the league, who was still pretty small at the time just stood in silence as the man walked up to Shigaraki, in his usual cranky mood, giving him a wide grin and reached out to shake his hand.
"I'm sure you'll accept someone as awesome as me, right?"
Shigaraki, on the other hand, reached out for his hand, with all five fingers at the ready, clearly pissed off.
"Uh, dude? my hand's down here." Sachi pointed out, as he saw that the man was reaching for his throat.
Just then, She came in, sitting right in between the two. Not to save Sachi, just to piss off Shigaraki, whom she also hated at the time.
"The usual." She ordered, as Kurogiri handed her large pint of beer, before turning to the man to her left, "What are you looking at, doofus?"
Sachi looked at her for a minute, until he smacked his palm with a convinced face.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I was under the impression that the guy behind you was the boss." Said Sachi, which only served to piss the guy off ever more.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY YOU SON OF A-"
"Oh, it's a common mistake." Irina laughed at the sight of Shigaraki's triggered face, "But yeah, if you're looking for the boss, here she is."
"Oh, splendid!" Sachi said with a energetic smile, "So, picking back where I left off, can I be a part of this league?"
"NO YOU CAN-" Shigaraki yelled, only to have Irina shrink him down.
"Take your hand fetish somewhere else." Irina laughed as angry squeaks were heard from the seat where the ant-sized Shigaraki now stood on.
Then, Irina turned back to Sachi with a sadistic idea.
"Sure, you can join under one condition." She said jokingly, "Kneel down and grovel while telling me how great I am."
She was definitely expecting the guy to be insulted and lash out at her, to which she can then shrink him down and slowly break his spirit, but to her surprise, the guy immediately got down on his knees and bowed to her.
"You are a Queen, a Goddess, a...uh... Goddess Queen, a... ... Queen... Goddess? I will server you till the end of time or something... and... uh..." Sachi said confidently, despite stuttering and hesitating. After a while, he got back up, "Wow, I am REALLY bad at this."
Irina on the other hand seemed quite amused by this guy.
"Okay, you're in." Irina said.
"I'LL ROT YOUR FINGERS OFF!" Shigaraki yelled, still shrunken down, so all the others heard was "Squeak Squeak Squeak!"
"Sweet!" Sachi said, jumping back to his usual cheerful state, which impressed Irina, as most people would have been too embarrassed to even look at anyone after that, "So, when do I start my job?"
Seeing how eager he was, Irina made an agreement to herself and later All For One that she'll be taking Sachi in as her disciple, when really, she's just keeping her as a pet, a dog. But much like a dog, Sachi grew on her with time. Always loyal to her at first, he then started to pick up a sassier attitude, making witty remarks and disobeying her orders on purpose, only to complement her later by saying stuff like "You look really cute when you're angry."
Soon, Sachi was less of a pet, and more like her underling, then buddy, and then partner in crime. And then...
"...We just... sorta stayed that way." Irina finished explaining to Spinner, "Although... recently, my feelings for him are starting to get more and more complex, and I can't decipher why. I started to worry when he was hurt or angry, I felt shocked when I see him act out of character, and, when Sachi ran off to face off against Snipe, I found myself chasing him, pleading for him not to do this alone. My heart felt like it was beating at a thousands miles per hour, my palms were sweaty, my head felt light, I had to make sure he was fine. I... I'm not sure why I feel this..."
"That's just love!" Magne answered.
Irina's face went completely red at that remark.
"W-W-W-W-W-W-W-What!? Glove? Dove? Shove? Club?" Irina yelled out, embarrassed, "What the hell are you talking about!?"
"So, when's the wedding?" Joked Spinner.
"No no no no! It's not that!" She said, her voice muffled by her hands as she covered her flustered face, "It's not! It's not! It's not..."
"She's shrinking herself..." The two thought as the girl was getting smaller and smaller.
"Come on Spinner, I think you played around with her enough." A familiar voice called out, as the two faced the newcomer.
"Oh, hi Sachi!" said Spinner
"Hi Liz-bro." Sachi said, fist bumping his friend, "Hey, did any of you see where 'Rina is? I called her out on a date but don't tell her that, she get's pretty touchy on that subject."
"This WAS a date!?" Irina thought, hiding behind a Coffee Mug.
The two villains looked at each other, and then exchanged the same look, before turning to Sachi.
"Nah! We don't know where she could be." Magne said.
Irina wanted to yell "I'M RIGHT HERE ASSHOLES!" But couldn't find it in herself to do it. She was paralyzed unable to move a muscle, her heart was beating rapidly at Sachi's reveal, so much so that she leaned on the side of the cup.
"Wow, and I was running late too, although, she did send he a text saying that she was waiting for me. Oh god, she must have ran out of patience and left, uh, I'll try to find her and apologize. If you see her, tell her I'm at the hideout, It's the only other place I know where she could be."
Just then, Sachi triggered the trap.
"Why are you in such a hurry for her?" Asked Magne.
"Cause I love her, that's why." Sachi replied almost immediately, "And I was hoping I could confess to her during our date."
"WHAT!?" She yelled as she jerked up, tipping the cup over and spilling hot coffee all over Sachi's new pair of jeans.
"OW OW OW OW OW! HOT! HOTOTOTOTOTOTOT! HAWWWWT!" Sachi yelled as he jumped around in pain.
"Woah, Irina! Not cool!" Spinner said, only to realize he just gave away her position.
"I-I didn't mean to..."
"'Rina? you were here this whole time!?" Sachi said, looking at his shrunken partner.
"I...I...I..." Irina uttered, bursting into tears as she ran off, rather quickly despite not reverting herself to normal size.
Sachi then turned to Spinner and Magne with a pissed off look on his face.
"You could have told me she was there with whole time!" He yelled at the two.
Spinner's nerves were shot. This wasn't how Sachi usually acted, he can tell that the dude was pissed, an emotion he never thought could come out of the League's resident second cinnamon roll. Magne too, was trembling with fear.
"L-listen, I'm sorry Sachi." Magne said, I-we got carried away. We were far too excited to find out that Irina had feelings for you, and we took advantage of that."
"Fine, I'll let it- wait, Irina has feelings for me too?" Sachi said.
"Oh crud." Spinner cursed for letting that information slip.
"Oh my god." Sachi said, blushing, "I got to go tell her!"
As he ran off, the two villains thought they were safe, until Sachi turned around, giving them a mean look.
"I'll be back for you two."
His voice sounded serious, which made the two of them tremble. They knew it was nigh impossible to piss off the guy, so they do not want to know what happens when he does hold a grudge.
Back with Irina, legs burned as she felt like she was running for hours on end. It hurt just to breathe, but, in a way, she preferred it that way. She preferred it to be in pain rather than to be back in that sort of predicament. Eventually, the sun started to set, and she found herself my a hillside.
"Wow..." Irina said to herself, "How far did I run?"
Looking around, her size has reverted, although she wasn't sure if it was her doing, or did her quirk just naturally wear off, like it usually does on living organisms. From the grassy hillside, she can see the entire city and all of it's highrises. The sun, dipping into the horizon, emitted a barrage of golden beams of light, which reflected off the glassy buildings. The beams of light refracted off the surface of the river, separating her spot from the city, as well as painting a golden layer over the hillside, a marvelous sight, the same one that made the place she ran to a popular place for couples to go on picnics.
Suddenly, She heard a loud panting, which made her turned around, only to come face to face with Sachi, heavily panting.
"Jesus 'Rina, I mean, I know you ran half a mile to catch up with me back at that training camp, but could you have been a least a little more merciful for your big payback?" Sachi said, panting heavily as he wiped off his sweat from his forehead.
Seeing this, and having run out of stamina, 'Rina buried her face in her knees, refusing to look at him.
"Listen." Sachi said softly, sitting next to her, "I'm not sure what those two said to you for you to hide like that, but, the fact that you overheard me being so upfront must have been too much for you to handle, so, In a way, I guess I should he apologizing."
Peeking through the gap between her leg and torso, she stared at Sachi with tearful eyes.
"But at the same time, you did spill burning hot coffee all over my brand new pair of jeans, so I guess we're even." Sachi joked, as he patted Irina on the back.
To his surprise though, Irina ended leaning into him.
"I was gonna confess to you too, dumby." She pouted, "You ruined it."
Sachi smiled, hugging her closer.
"Love you too, 'Rina." Said Sachi, "I was sort of hoping to say this to you after dinner, maybe even after watching a movie, you know, set up the mood, get you all riled up and ready but, I guess this will have to do."
"What do you mean?" Irina said, turning to him, her charcoal eyes staring longingly into the chocolate irises of her man, "There's no way you could have made this confession any better. Although, I'm sorry if I ruined your planned date, though, since we still have about 15 minutes until the sun fully sets and we get eaten alive by mosquitoes, I guess we can spend this bit of time to make up for that... incident."
Hearing this, Sachi smiled, leaning back and lying on the soft grass.
"You know, I've been thinking, what do we do after we help Izuku accomplish his master plan? I mean, we have an entire life ahead of us!" He asked.
"Well..." Irina replied, Lying down right next to Sachi, "I thought that maybe after all this is over, maybe we can finally give up being villains."
"Of course we would do that, no one wants to remain a villain, heck, no one ever even wants to be one, the only reason we ended up villains were due to the fact that the law didn't like what we did. I'm not asking about what we become after this, I'm asking what we do."
"What did you have in mind?"
A moment of silence followed.
"I want to visit Kyoto." Replied Sachi, "I made up lies that I've been there, but I still really want to go there, and also Karuizawa, Otaru, and maybe one day, leave the country to visit Okinawa, SEA (South East Asia), and even Germany, your home country."
"So you want to travel?"
"Why not? I'm getting bored of this old town, with the same of buildings, the same old heroes, the same old concepts of Good and Evil, I'm fed up, I want to see if elsewhere in the world, things would be different, and maybe, just maybe, I can find somewhere I can call home, not that the league isn't already home for me, but I want to live with the satisfaction of knowing that the world isn't as terrible as one might think." Said Sachi, before turning to Irina, "And most importantly, I want to do it all with you, and maybe one day, when all the crazy stuff is over, we can settle down, get married, start a family, grow old together."
"You should listen to yourself, you sound like a 12 year old, thinking way too ahead into life." Irina laughed.
"What's wrong with that? I find kids to be the most optimistic people in the world, so why let that optimist die when one reaches adulthood?" Asked Sachi, "Besides, I never experienced "young love", so, in a way, this is a first to me."
"Well it is to me too." Irina replied, holding his hand.
"And you?" Asked Sachi, "What do you plan to do?"
Irina then booped his nose.
"First, get over this spoiled brat personality I have going." She said, "Second, everything you just said."
Hearing that, Sachi ended up blushing even redder than Irina did earlier at the cafe.
"I love you, Irina."
"I know."
Back at the Hideout...
"You ended up staying in that field way longer than 15 minutes, didn't you?" Asked Izuku, tending to the couple's mosquito bites.
"Yup." The two replied in a defeated tone.
"*Sigh, you people are really hopeless, you know that?" The villain leader said, rubbing soothing lotion over Irina's red dotted back, "And what are you even doing, Kuro?"
At the corner of the bar, the bartender was seen scribbling some notes, similar to what Izuku used to do as a kid and during his early days of villainy.
"No, nothing Young Master." Replied Kurogiri, "Nothing at all."
Meanwhile Kurogiri looked back at his notes, which formed a list which followed.
Young Master X Himiko Toga (TogaDeku): Sailed
Dabi X Himiko Toga (DabiToga): Sank
Twice X Toga (DoubleToga): Sank
Spinner X Magne (TransLizard): Possible Progress
Young Master X Todoroki (TodoDeku): Sank
the list went on and on and on, even passing by weird ones like Sachi X Chisaki (Birds and Bees), and Shigaraki X Yoshikage Kira (Hands), and all the way at the bottom, he added one last one.
Sachi X Irina (Sachiiri): Sailed.
