EXT. FIGURE EIGHT - DAY

Jane Birch steps out of a sleek black SUV in slow motion. The camera pans up from her designer shoes, lingering on her chic outfit and sunglasses as she surveys her surroundings. The sunlight glints off the car's polished exterior.

JOHN B (V.O.)
You see that girl over there? That's Jane Birch. The new girl in town.

Cut to a wide shot of the bustling marina. Jane walks confidently past a group of locals who stop to stare. JJ leans casually against a post, smirking as he watches her.

JOHN B (V.O.)
Coming all the way from Chicago, Illinois. She's one of them rich kids. Actually, she's an heiress.

Quick cut to a close-up of a Birchwood-branded milk carton being placed on a store shelf. Another shot shows a sizzling steak on a grill.

JOHN B (V.O.)
You know Birchwood Cattle Co.? Her father owns that. You probably had eaten one of their meat or drank their milk once. Their name is huge all over America.

Cut back to Jane walking through the marina. People whisper as she passes. The camera lingers on her unreadable expression.

JOHN B (V.O.)
Which makes them the talk of OBX, because why would these people move to Figure Eight-leaving all their empire behind?

FLASHBACK: INT. LUXURY OFFICE - DAY

Jane's father shakes John B's hand with a forced, intimidating smile. His piercing gaze locks on John, who looks visibly uneasy. The dim lighting adds a menacing atmosphere.

JOHN B (V.O.)
Her father hired me once, and he pretty much scares me-her whole family scares me. There's something about them I just cannot figure out.

EXT. BEACH BONFIRE - NIGHT

Jane sits surrounded by a group of Kooks, all trying to impress her. She sips from a red cup, barely acknowledging them. Across the fire, JJ watches her from the shadows, his eyes locked on her every move.

JOHN B (V.O.)
And JJ already has his eye all over her. But he obviously can't make his move with all those Kooks clinging onto her arms like leeches.

JOHN B (V.O.)
They like her-for her beauty and wealth. Everyone knows her, yet no one really knows her. Confusing, right?

FADE OUT.
