The fortress is busier than ever, Faith and Yunho were finishing up Celestials dress for this evening. Tonight is the Moonlight Ball, a celebration of all of their parents. This is the one time the demigods speak to the pure bloods, but they all enjoy it.

Celestial is stationed by the lake, making sure the lanterns she placed are perfectly in view. She was told that every pure blood lights a lantern at the stroke of midnight, sending it up to travel through the sky in honor of their parents. She was happy that her two best friends were going to it as well as her brother, they were asked to the ball a week prior. As far as she knew she was the only one without a date to the ball.

"Hey Celestial." She smiles at the sound of Sans voice, turning around she sees him with a bouquet of sunflowers. "Hello."

"I was uh wondering if you would like to be my date tonight? You don't have to if you want to go alone! I just really-" her giggling cuts him off, his cheeks are a deep pink of blush.

"Yes I would love to accompany you to the ball tonight San." Celestial smiles brightly as she watches San run off, coming back to give her the flowers he brought her. She shakes her head while smiling down at the flowers, she takes one final glance at the lanterns before walking back to the cabin to get ready.

When she closes the door to her cabin she sees Faith and Yunho already in their outfits for tonight, Yunho in a simply black tux as Faith is dress is a pastel purple dress, butterflies ascending down the seem at the side.

"You guys look amazing!"

They both thank her as the start helping her get ready, "So Celestial are you going with anyone tonight?" Yunho asks out of curiosity, Celestial nods with a pink tint on her cheeks.

Gasping Faith stands before her, "Who?!"

"San, he asked me not to long ago." Yunho and Faith squeal loudly, Yunho finishing her hair as Faith finishes her makeup. Afterwards she's pushed in the bathroom gently with her dress in her arms, when she puts it on she smiles at her reflection. The dress is a beautiful baby blue, flowers are embroidered at the bottom hemline and make their way up the dress. The silk feels so nice against her skin, she reaches her hand run her fingers over her necklace.

She jumps slightly when someone knocks on her bathroom door, sighing she opens it to reveal her brother. "Oh me oh my you look absolutely stunning!"

She smiles brightly as she hugs her brother, "You look amazing Hwa!" They pull apart and he holds out his arm, ready to escort her. "All of our dates will meet us at the lake, I heard San freaking out about what to wear tonight since you're accompanying him."

She blushes shyly the thought of San doing that just because she was his date for tonight made her happy, but she couldn't help but think this was to good to be true. As she walks with her arm laced with her brother, Yunho and Faith quickly walk ahead of them when they see their lovers.

She stops in her tracks when she lays eyes on San, he looked so handsome in his white and black suit. The metals on his jacket set nicely against the white and black of the jacket, his hair parted slightly showing his forehead. His eyes deep honey toned eyes locked with hers, his pink toned lips turn upright into a gracious smile as he begins to walk towards her.

When he stands before her he grabs her hand pressing a light kiss to the back of it, "You look absolutely gorgeous, I couldn't have picked a better date for tonight."

"You look astonishing San, I'm beyond lucky you asked me out of all the other girls you could've asked.." San lifts her head up to look at him with his pointer finger, studying the features of her face. Like the freckle in the corner of her right eye near her waterline, how her eyes signify both of her parents.

San leans forward connecting their foreheads, bringing a hand up to stroke her cheek. He leans his head to the side slightly looking from her eyes to her rosy pink lips, oh how he wanted to kiss those lips. His head snaps to the side when he hears a throat clear behind him, he chuckles as he sees Jongho and Yeosang wink at him and make kissing noises.

San leads her towards the crowd of demigods that have shown up, he feels Celestial grab his arm staying close to him. As they make conversation with them Celestial realizes she's the only child Selene and Poseidon have. She's met plenty of children from the other Gods and Goddesses, she feels a little sad that she's in fact an only child. She knows she has Seonghwa but he isn't blood, she looks up scanning the crowd to find an area to sit alone as time passes.

She notices no one is at the dock so she begins her journey there, stopping to greet someone every now and then. She lets out a sigh of relief when she reaches the end of the dock, being crowded made her feel trapped so she had to find somewhere where she could think freely.

Staring up at the night sky she begins to wonder how her mother is doing, if she misses her or if she's looking down at her at this very moment. She wishes she could meet her mother, she wishes her parent were there for every hardship she went through.

"Hey are you ok?" Turning around she sees San walking up to her slowly, she nods her head timidly before turning back to face the lake.

"I'm fine just thinking." San hums, crossing his hands behind his back. "It's almost time for the lanterns, its 11:30."

"Have you ever met your parents San?"

"Hmm I have once, they came to me on my 18th birthday. I was working at my adoptive fathers welding company when they showed up, my adoptive parents were furious they showed up."

Her brows furrow as she turns to look at him, she blushes when she sees he was already looking at her. "Why were they furious?"

"Because they only showed up to tell me who I am, they said I need to be ready to build anything for them and everyone else. Kennith, my adoptive father, was furious. He went as far to tell them that I don't have to do anything I don't wish to do, that I can make my own choices in my life. I understand where he's coming from and I completely agree with him, I do what I do because I love it not because of who my father is."

Celestial smiles fondly at San, "Well I'm happy you're here San."

San grabs her hand, lacing their fingers together. "I am too."

San guides her to the lanterns when he sees the time on his watch read 11:55pm. He sees Hongjoong holding Seonghwa close to him by the waist, his other hand holding his lantern. Every year they do this San stood alone, but now he stands side by side with Celestial. Both holding their lanterns in their free hands as their fingers stayed laced together.

"Thank you everyone who came tonight for the yearly celebration of our parents! We have a new addition to our group, tonight we will be honoring not only our parents but as well as Poseidon God of the sea and Selene Goddess of the moon. Their daughter Celestial will send a lantern up for them tonight at the stroke of midnight along side the rest of us." As Hongjoong speaks Celestial sees her brother smiling lovingly at him, she looks at San when he feels him squeeze her hand. Everyone around them joint together to count down to midnight.

The pure bloods all raise their arms, releasing their lanterns into the night sky. The stars and mood shining brightly as Celestial looks at the lanterns float away, she turns to look at San whose smiling fondly at her. San cups her cheek as he brings his arm back down, gently rubbing her cheek with the pad of his thumb.

San decides to take a risk, closing his eyes as he leans forward closing the gap between them as their lips meet. Sans heart leaps with joy as he feels her return the kiss, he turns his head to the side deepening the kiss pulling away when they run out of air. San connects their foreheads, "Celestial I like you, will you go on a date with me tomorrow night?"

Can we just talk about how amazing San looks?????
