3 YEARS AND 9 MONTHS LATER...

If there was one thing that Saige Halley was certain of in her overly chaotic life, it was that she was head over heels in love with Drew fucking Starkey.

Three years and nine months had passed since they began dating—since Saige's four years of quiet, unspoken longing finally turned into something real, and fate decided Drew Starkey was hers after all.

Now, standing backstage at the Poguelandia Tour 2026, Saige's eyes shimmered with emotion as she listened to the cast's heartfelt farewells to the fans, marking the end of their final season together.

Saige stood beside Raella and Rudy, feeling the weight of the moment. Though Rudy's final season had been season four, the production and crew had invited him back for Poguelandia 2026. He was family, after all, and there was no way he wouldn't be part of this final stretch.

Earlier, when Rudy had been introduced, the crowd went absolutely wild. Seeing him back on stage, alive and well, had the fans screaming with joy. But now, as the tour was nearing its end in Santa Barbara, California, the emotions were thick in the air. The cast had already given their speeches—Chase, Madelyn, Jonathan, Carlacia, and Austin. Now, it was Madison's turn.

Saige couldn't help but feel a wave of nostalgia. Everything had led to this. It had been a journey, and watching it all unfold, one last time, made her heart ache. She glanced at Drew, who was standing nearby, his eyes locked on Madison as she took the mic, ready to speak her piece.

"Thank you all so much for everything," Madison's voice wavered slightly, her emotions raw as she spoke. "This has been an incredible journey, and honestly, I can't believe it's already over. Kie has taught me so much about love, friendship, bravery, and so much more. We've been on this ride for seven years, and it's more than just a show—it's been a family, one that will stay with me forever. To the fans, thank you for sticking by us, for believing in us. This is Kie, signing off—P4L, always."

The crowd erupted into a sea of applause, their cheers a reflection of the love and gratitude that filled the room.

And now, the microphone was handed to Drew. The cheers grew even louder, the energy almost overwhelming. Saige couldn't help but laugh, her heart swelling with affection. She totally related to the crowd's fangirling—because that was her every damn time she saw him. Even though Drew was her boyfriend, even though he was hers, she couldn't help but still get those butterflies. Every time he smiled, every time he spoke, it was like she was seeing him for the first time all over again.

"Hello, everyone," Drew's voice was steady, filled with emotion. "I'm honored by all the love you've shown Rafe over the years. This show has been life-changing—it gave me friends who became family. For seven years, this cast has been my ride-or-die, taking the 'I' in family and turning it into something so much bigger. I'll hold these memories close forever. Thank you, truly, for everything. This is Rafe Cameron, signing off."

Saige's hands shot up, clapping so loud her palms stung. She let out a high-pitched scream for him, her voice almost drowning in the sea of cheers. Drew's eyes locked on hers, and his grin widened when he caught the sight of her, the corners of his lips quirking.

He winked playfully, but there was something else in his gaze, something deeper. She swore she saw his lips tremble slightly, as though he wasn't finished yet. And just as she thought he had wrapped it up, Drew took a breath, his voice growing more serious.

"In the past three years of this unforgettable journey," Drew began, his voice steady yet laced with warmth, "there's been one person who has been my rock—my constant through every high and every low. I can't even begin to express how grateful I am to have her in my life. So tonight, I want to bring her up here because, truthfully, this moment wouldn't feel complete without her. Come here, baby."

What. The. Fuck.

As the words left his lips, Saige's breath hitched, her heart pounding so loudly it drowned out the deafening roar of the crowd. It was as if time itself had slowed, and she stood there, frozen in disbelief.

"Bitch, go!" Raella's voice snapped her back to reality, her laughter ringing in Saige's ears as she shoved her toward the stage.

With a deep breath, Saige willed her feet to move, stepping toward Drew as the bright stage lights blurred her vision. The crowd's cheers roared in her ears, a stark contrast to the chaos that followed when she and Drew first went public with their relationship.

Back then, the backlash had been overwhelming. But after Daniela's public apology, everything shifted. The fans had taken a complete U-turn, and now, they were cheering for her like she belonged.

"What the hell are you doing?" Saige whispered, her voice a mix of shock and amusement as laughter bubbled up in her throat.

Drew only grinned, pulling her closer and pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.

Saige's eyes darted toward the rest of the cast, who had quietly retreated to the corner of the stage. They were watching intently, giggling and smiling, the girls visibly teary-eyed. Her chest tightened as realization started to sink in.

What if...

OH MY GOD.

"As many of y'all know, Saige and I have been together for almost four years now," Drew said into the microphone, his voice full of warmth and sincerity. He looked at her with an expression that spoke volumes. "She's been my rock, my biggest supporter, and the love of my life. Through all the chaos, she's been there for me in ways I didn't even know I needed. She's taught me so much—about love, trust, and how to truly be present in the moment. But more than anything, she's shown me that it's better to risk it all than lose the chance to be happy. I couldn't imagine doing any of this without her."

And then, as if time fucking slowed, Drew dropped to one knee in front of her. Drew dropped to one knee in front of her. The crowd, already deafening, erupted into a cacophony that somehow found a whole new level of intensity—like screaming, but with a PhD in chaos.

Saige stood frozen, her eyes locked on Drew as his words hit her like a wave. Her heart raced, and she could barely breathe as the moment seemed to stretch out forever. Drew shifted the microphone from one hand to the other, pulling out a small box from his back pocket. Saige's breath caught in her throat when he opened it, revealing a ring that sparkled under the bright lights.

"Hey, baby," Drew said, his smirk turning into something more vulnerable as the crowd went wild. "Almost four years ago, I knelt in front of you. You were so shocked, you asked if I was proposing. At that time, we weren't fine because, well, I was being a total idiot. But you cracked a joke in the middle of it, and honestly, I knew then and there you were the one for me."

He paused, swallowing hard, his voice thick with emotion. "We've been through so much together these past years. But through it all, you've always stayed by my side. I can't imagine life without you. I won't imagine it without you." Drew's gaze never wavered from hers, his eyes filled with nothing but sincerity. "So... Miss Saige Halley," he continued, his words trembling slightly. "Will you do me the honor of marrying me? Please?"

Saige's eyes shimmered with unshed tears as Drew finished speaking. The weight of his words crushed her chest, leaving her breathless, unable to get the words out. Her throat tightened, the emotions choking her from within.

So, she nodded. Frantically. Her whole body trembling with the intensity of it all.

"Yeah?" Drew echoed, his voice thick with emotion, a tear slipping down his cheek. He slid the engagement ring onto Saige's finger, stood up, and pulled her into the tightest, most loving embrace. "I love you, baby. Forever and always."

Saige pressed her face into his chest, the warmth of his words sinking deep into her heart. "I love you, Drew. So much more than you'll ever know."

"Ladies and gentlemen, the newlyweds!" Rudy's voice rang out, cutting through the moment with a burst of laughter from the crowd and a playful smack from Madison.

Saige and Drew shared a laugh, pulling away from the embrace. Saige looked up at him, a smile spreading across her face despite the dried tears still on her cheeks.

"Did you just fucking do that?" Saige giggled. "In front of your fans?"

"Yeah, I fucking did," Drew replied, his grin lazy and full of mischief. "And I'd do it again for you."

Without another word, he leaned in and kissed her. Right there, in front of everyone.

And the crowd went absolutely wild.

Saige's story loosely reflects my own experiences, especially with taking risks and staying with someone despite mixed signals. I wanted to show that love isn't always easy and sometimes giving up on them is harder than it seems.
