Sapphire's POV 💙

Shortly after I putted the sticky note on the fridge, Sonic and I left the house.

"Will you be okay once we get to the hospital?" I asked.

"I hope so...I feel a little scared." Sonic answered.

I pulled him into a hug after we stopped walking for a moment.

"Don't worry, Sonic...I'm sure you'll be fine." I say as I rested my chin on his left shoulder as I was hugging him.

Sonic hugged me back tightly as he buried his face into my shoulder.

"Thanks, Sapphire..." I heard him say. "I'm glad I have you with me."

I gave him a warm smile as I looked at him.

"Same here." I replied.

Then we parted from hugging before we resumed heading our way to the hospital.

Along the way, I noticed Sonic looked like he was in pain a little bit.

Surprisingly, he managed to ignore it until we arrived at the hospital and was given the room number Sonic'll be in.

Once we were guided to Sonic's room, I went in and setted our things down for him before helping Sonic get to the bed and lying him down in it.

Sonic letted out a sigh before relaxing a little.

I grabbed a chair and pulled it close to the bed before I reached out and held Sonic's hand again.

"I'll be here for you as always, so, don't you worry about a thing...Okay?" I said as I looked at him.

Sonic nodded and smiled a little before squeezing my hand gently.

I smiled back before kissing him on the forehead.

After waiting for a while, I heard a knock on the door and noticed the doctor coming in the room with a nurse following behind her, just as soon as Sonic started panting heavily.

-Hours Later, Back At The House-

Tails' POV 🛠️

I woke up and yawned a little before stretching the tiredness out of me.

I looked over at the clock, seeing it was around 6:30 pm before I decided to get out of my bed.

As I went upstairs and went in the kitchen to fix myself something for dinner, I noticed a sticky note on the refrigerator.

I took it off the fridge and started to read it.

Tails, Sonic and I are at the hospital. We won't be back for a bit.

But, just to let you know, we're okay and safe. Sonic needed to be at the hospital because of something medical related.

He mentioned that he'll explain everything once he calls you and lets you know that you can come over.

I tagged along because I know he needs me nearby his side.

That aside, I hope you don't mind having some time to yourself, Albert Einstein. If you plan on leaving the house, be sure to lock the door and stay safe for us.

Lots of love and hugs from Sonic, I know he loves you very much and will miss you while we're at the hospital.

After reading it, I started chuckling to myself at the nickname Sapphire gave me before I putted the sticky note down on the table.

"Albert Einstein"...Ha! That's a good one.

I definitely get the joke because Sapphire told me about Albert Einstein before and was comparing me to him, despite the fact we're both nerds over what we were interested in.

Part of the reason why is because she always says that I'm the brains out of the bunch and the smartest one.

It was really nice to be complimented about that, to put it that way.

Then I resumed thinking while trying to decide on what am I planning on having for dinner tonight.
