Sapphire's POV 💙

Something's off about Sonic...

I wasn't sure but I think it's probably what it is that I'm thinking.

Is it possible that he might be - - ?

I shook my head a little, getting that thought out.

No.

It couldn't be possible for a male.

There's just no way.

I was busy cooking something when an idea came to my mind that'll work and give me a clue about what's going on.

But, I'll make it sound like a joke at the same time.

"Hey, Sonic?" I began.

"Yeah?" I heard him reply from the living room.

"Are you pregnant? Because you're acting strange and your stomach's been kinda...swollen for quite a while." I asked, secretly teasing him.

I heard Sonic spit water out of his mouth after I asked him that before I saw the look on his face.

Sonic's face was pale in shock but he was blushing hard in embarrassment when he looked back at me.

I started snickering to myself silently after seeing that reaction.

"Wh-What?! No! I'm just - - !" Sonic started until I interrupted him by holding up a hand.

Ha! Knew it.

Just by that reaction, I can tell right away he is.

"I'm kidding, Sonic. I asked you that just to mess with ya." I said before chuckling a little. "I don't think it's possible for a male to have a child anyways."

Then I heard him sigh a little, sounding like it was in relief to me.

Sonic was still blushing hard in embarrassment though.

"Oh. You had me a little shocked right for a moment there. I thought you were serious." He says before lying back on the couch and staring at the ceiling.

"But, he doesn't know that I was being serious. I only made it sound like I was kidding just to get some hints about what's going on..." I thought to myself while hiding a smirk.

After I finished up with the cooking and served it, Sonic began to eat after I sat down and started to eat mine.

Okay.

Now, that I figured it out, the one thing I wonder is...

How is he able to?

That's the thing I'm scratching my head about.

There could be so many reasons of how but I still wouldn't have my answer.

Looks like I'll have to wait until the 9th month arrives before I could get some answers by asking the doctor about it.

Sonic's POV 💎

Once we ate, Sapphire took the dishes and cleaned them up in the sink before heading over and helping me stand up.

I rested my arm on her shoulder as I was taken upstairs and into the bedroom we shared.

Then she helped me sit and lie down on the bed once we made it.

"Thanks, Sapphire..." I say as I looked at her and smiled a bit.

"You're welcome, Sonikku." She replies before kissing me on the cheek.

I felt my eyelids getting heavy and before I knew it, I dozed off as Sapphire left the room.

For the rest of the day, I was asleep for a while until dinner time rolled around.

I was still tired but I know I have to get up, eat, and walk around a little.

I've slept through most of the day just right after I had lunch a few hours back.

I yawned a little before sitting up on the bed carefully as I stretched the tiredness out of my body.

I heard footsteps before the door opened, revealing Sapphire, as always.

"Hey there, sleepyhead...Got yourself some rest?" Sapphire asked, making me snicker over that nickname.

"Yes, I did..." I answered before she entered and sat down next to me.

"Glad to hear that." She says before I ruffled her head while chuckling at her for a moment.
