Sapphire's POV 💙

I looked over and noticed Tails and Knuckles after the door opened.

Knuckles had a cast on his arm, indicating that he got his broken arm taken care of and treated.

And as for Tails, he was relieved that Sonic was okay after I told him and Knuckles what happened before they stopped by.

-Days Later-

After Sonic and I were at the hospital for days, Sonic was fully recovered enough to leave and head back home.

I smiled and sighed as Sonic and I held each other close while we were sitting on the couch, watching TV, and eating our favorite snack.

"You're so cute, Sonikku..." I say as I wrapped my arm around his shoulder while I rested my head against his. "I still can't get over the fact that we're lovers. It just makes me feel so happy."

Sonic chuckled a little before he rested his head on my chest.

"Is that your way of saying that I'm better looking and cooler than Shadow, Scourge, and Knuckles?" Sonic asked while grinning at me as he joked.

I started laughing hard at that commentary after hearing him say that.

"Yeah." I replied after I stopped laughing a bit. "That's exactly what I think.

You're cooler than those three because of your fluffy werehog form, those moves you pull off in combat, and everything else. Especially when you're being who you are."

I noticed Sonic was blushing a little after I mentioned that.

"Thanks." Sonic replies as he looked at me.

I smiled as I kissed him on the forehead before scratching him behind the ears.

Apparently he seems to really enjoy being scratched behind the ears very much, because Sonic almost fell off the couch if I hadn't caught him.

"Easy there, wolf boy...You almost fell off the couch." I say while I chuckled a little bit.

Sonic's POV 💎

I blushed after Sapphire said that.

"Why do you give me nicknames such as the one you just gave me?" I asked.

Sapphire shrugged.

"I thought you'd like those nicknames I give you..." Sapphire answered. "You don't like them?"

"I...I like them, Sapphire. I just feel a little embarrassed about it." I mentioned while feeling my face turning more redder. "It's just something I'm not used to hearing and just wondered why..."

Sapphire chuckled a bit before she wrapped her arms around my waist.

"It's alright...I don't see anything wrong with that." Sapphire replied before looking at me in the eyes. "You're a very special mobian to me and I know it."

I blushed even more, feeling speechless and flattered internally, as I thanked her for the compliment.

"She's definitely the right girl for me...Her words and emotions says it all." I thought to myself.

I was so deep in my thoughts that I didn't hear Sapphire until she suddenly waved her hand in front of me.

"Helloooo! You there?"

I suddenly looked up at Sapphire as I went "Huh?".

Sapphire rolled her eyes and smirked a little after I asked what was she saying.

"I asked you if you wanted some ice cream, silly..." Sapphire answered.

"Oh! Sure. Sorry about what was going on a few seconds ago...I was lost in my thoughts." I say as I sweat dropped a little.

"It's alright...That happens to me too sometimes." Sapphire replies as she giggled a bit before getting up and heading over to the kitchen.

"What kind of ice cream do you have?" I asked as I sat up on the couch.

"I have Chocolate Chip Sundae Supreme..." Sapphire answered. "Or is there another flavor you want instead?"

I froze after I heard Sapphire mention "Chocolate Chip Sundae Supreme".

That's Chip's favorite ice cream!

"...nic? Sonic!"

I snapped back into reality again after I felt Sapphire shaking me.
