Sonic's POV 💎

As I kept searching for that female werehog, I met up with the gang before I explained what's happened.

"Oh no! Poor Sapphire..." Tails went before he lowered his head sadly.

"Don't worry, Sonic. We'll help you! Even though Sapphire's gone, she still lives on in our hearts." Silver says.

"She kinda reminded me of Maria. I'm only here to help you, faker. I'm not here to see you have a pity party." Shadow mentions before acting like he doesn't care as always.

Everyone else agreed with Tails and Silver's commentary but only a few of us gave Shadow a death stare for acting like he doesn't care about me and Sapphire.

Shortly after that, I suddenly heard a growl from behind me.

Everyone else grew ready and defensive as soon as that female werehog appeared out of nowhere and attacked me.

I slammed my foot on her chest and threw her back to get her off me.

The werehog letted out a shriek in pain as she was thrown back and slammed against a tree.

She quickly got up and ran off again as she staggered a little.

"She's getting away! Hurry!" I said before we chased after her.

After we caught up, Amy swung her piko piko hammer and had the female werehog slammed against another tree.

The werehog cried out in pain as she tried to escape but fell on her side after Knuckles appeared from underground and hitted her in the face.

After that happened, she looked at me before whining a little.

"I'm not falling for that trick." I say as Shadow approached and stood beside me.

Something was wrong though because Shadow suddenly attacked me.

"Shadow! What are you doing?! Stop!" I heard Silver say before he flew over and tried to stop Shadow.

Shadow grabbed Silver by the scruff of his neck before hurling him into a tree.

Everyone else tried to stop Shadow but they failed too.

"Shadow...Why are you doing this? We didn't do anything to you." I said weakly before Shadow knocked me over and slammed me against a wall, causing me to go unconscious after I hitted my head against it.

Sapphire's POV 💙

I quickly grew aware and conscious about what's going on around me as everyone was fighting me.

My body was in so much pain after I tried to defend myself and noticed Sonic heading in my direction once Knuckles emerged from underground and hitted me in the face.

I whined a little at Sonic, as I fell over and landed on my side, pleading him to stop and let me try to explain everything.

But, it seemed to have no effect on him, because he said that he wasn't falling for my "trick".

I grew shocked to the core after hearing him say that before Shadow suddenly attacked him for no apparent reason just out of nowhere.

Then everything felt like a repeat of that nightmare I had before Sonic moved into my house to live with me months ago.

As Shadow approached Sonic's unconscious figure, he pulled out a gun before pointing it at him.

I immediately knew what was gonna happen next after I saw that.

"No! This can't be happening for real! He's gonna kill Sonic!!" I thought to myself in panic.

"But, I don't know how to prevent him from dying...What should I do?"

"Save him...Protect him..." I heard a voice echo in my head right out of nowhere.

I don't know who's telling me this but it's the only way.

My gaze softened a little as tears appeared in my eyes and ran down to the sides of my face.

Without thinking, I gathered up the strength I needed and then leaped in the way to protect Sonic, as Shadow pulled the trigger.
