Lucky for Tails, he was wearing the goggles to keep his eyes protected.

"You look like Sonic now!" I said before I continued laughing.

Tails chuckled at my commentary after seeing his reflection in a nearby mirror.

"Hehe. I guess so." Tails replied.

Sonic's POV 💎

-Earlier-

"What's up with her?" I heard Amy ask as she looked at me, confused.

I shrugged as I looked back at Amy.

"I dunno. She seemed nervous about something." I replied.

"I wonder what it is..." Amy says as she starts thinking to herself.

"I think I know what it is...But, I'm not going to tell Amy about it." I think to myself.

"Are you alright, Sonic? You looked like you were spacing out for a minute there." I heard Amy ask before I suddenly looked at her.

"Yeah, I'm okay. I was just thinking of what it is that Sapphire could be nervous about." I lied.

"Let's head over to Tails and Knuckles. After all, that's what Sapphire said before she ran from us." Amy says as she hurried off.

I stood there, thinking for a moment.

"What is it that Sapphire was gonna say?" I wondered.

Then I hurried off to see Tails and Knuckles as I followed after Amy.

Sapphire's POV 💙

After me and Knuckles stopped laughing, I wiped the tears from my eyes as I giggled a bit.

Then me, Tails and Knuckles started having a conversation.

After a while, I started to feel nervous again, knowing that Sonic and Amy are following after me.

A few minutes later, Sonic and Amy arrived.

I suddenly dropped my water bottle in shock as I started blushing hard in embarrassment again.

"Sapphire? Is everything okay? You look really nervous about something..." Tails asked as he gave me a concerned look.

"Yeah. Not to mention that you look like you're embarrassed." Knuckles added in.

"I-I'm okay, you two..." I replied as me and Sonic knelt down to pick up the water bottle that I dropped.

As Sonic touched my hand by mistake, my face turned redder than before as he stood back up and handed my water bottle to me.

"Th-Thanks, Sonic..." I stuttered nervously again as I took the water bottle.

"No problem." Sonic replies until he suddenly noticed that I was blushing before asking me if I'm okay.

I nodded my head silently, in response to his question before running off again.

After I was sure that no one was around or nearby, I sat down on the floor, with my back against the wall as I sighed.

"He...touched...my hand." I said to myself as I looked at my left hand.

I couldn't believe it.

The very one I secretly loved had touched my hand.

"Sapphire? Is everything okay?" I suddenly heard someone ask.

I looked up and suddenly chuckled a bit, seeing Cream the rabbit standing there before she sat down next to me.

"Oh! Hey, Cream. I didn't see you there." I said as I looked over at her.

Ever since the day I first met Cream, I've grown soft on her and became super close friends with her.

She not only makes me think of a sweet little kid but it's really cute when I see her curious.

"Are you alright? I was just walking around and I happened to see you like this." Cream asked.

I chuckled again.

"I'm alright, Cream. I was just feeling really nervous." I answered.

Cream gave me a curious look before asking me why.

"Can you keep it a secret?" I asked as I looked over at Cream.

She nodded her head before we made a promise.

"Okay. The reason why I'm like this is because...I...I like Sonic." I said as I suddenly felt nervous again.
