Sapphire's POV 💙

"It feels great out here today! Don't you agree, Sonic?" I sighed as I stretched a little while walking beside him.

It was a nice, warm day and I had went out for a walk before happening to meet up with Sonic as I was walking around, getting some exercise, and enjoying the fresh air.

Sonic looked at me and smiled.

"Yup! A perfect day to walk around and relax while enjoying the fresh air." He replied before I chuckled a bit.

"Yeah! Hopefully, Eggman won't try to ruin things up again. After battling with him so many times, I'm sure he could do a break too.

It's pretty tiring fighting the same villain every time you turn around when you're trying to get a break, now that I think of it." I say as I looked back at Sonic before winking at him.

Sonic chuckled in response.

There's no way he was gonna disagree on that comment.

As we kept walking, my heart pounded a little bit, despite the fact I was feeling nervous.

"I can't believe it! Me and Sonic are alone together! Maybe this might be the right timing to confess my feelings to him." I thought to myself.

I've been secretly in love with Sonic for quite a while and I planned on confessing to him soon when I'm alone with him.

This is a good chance for me to tell him.

"Hey, Sonic?"

"Yeah?"

"There's something I've been wanting to tell you for a while..." I began, feeling butterflies in my stomach.

"What is it?" Sonic asked.

I was nervous about this but I silently took in a breath and exhaled.

"Sonic, I - - " I began before I was suddenly cut off, hearing the sound of Amy's voice as she ran over and embraced him into a tight hug.

"Darn it! I was so close! I already lost my chance on confessing to him right now." I thought to myself.

"What were you gonna tell me?" Sonic asked as he managed to get Amy off of him.

"N-Nevermind! I was gonna let you know that I'll be hanging out with Tails and Knuckles." I stuttered nervously as I lied, while blushing a little in embarrassment, before running off.

"Oh god...What am I gonna do? I can't confess to Sonic in front of Amy. She might get really upset with me and use that big mallet of hers." I said to myself nervously.

Then I met up with Tails and Knuckles before talking and hanging out with them.

"Hey, Tails! How are you and Knuckles doing?" I asked as I entered in the room.

Tails turned around and noticed me while Knuckles was talking to him.

"We're doing just fine. How are you?" Tails replied as he smiled.

"I'm doing alright. How's your project going?" I asked.

After I first met the heroes and got to know each other, I pretty much know already by now that Tails is the brains out of the bunch, despite his intelligence and interest into science and math.

Not only that, but he's built some really cool stuff that I can use in combat.

It took a lot of practice and training to use them properly in combat, but I eventually got the hang of it and really good on using them.

"It's turning out really well so far. Hopefully, nothing won't happen..." Tails answered.

Right on cue, one of the chemicals that Tails had just mixed up, suddenly exploded in his face.

Me and Knuckles started laughing hard after Tails had a startled look before turning to look at me and Knuckles.
