Memories
Do you ever have those moments when you just get hit by this realization that all of these memories you made are never gonna come back? Well I just did.
It just makes me so sad that the people we know, become the people we knew, the sound of our giggles merely a distant echo and all the fun we had reduced to memories in a dark corner of our mind.
I know we promised to keep in touch, to never forget what we were, who we were. But I think we all know that when time flies, it takes the memories along with it. We'll meet new people and go different places.
What if I don't want to meet new people? What if I don't want change?
It's been more than six months since we went on that trip of our lives, but I remember it all as if it were yesterday. That drunken joy, that light-hearted teasing and times we laughed so hard that we were clutching at each other to stay upright.
Even though I know that I will forget my past, I don't think I can ever forget the things I've done with my little gang of criminals-in-making.
Will I ever have those late night heart-to-hearts? The shushed secret spilling? The random gossiping?
People look for an anchor in life, something steadfast they can hold onto in the whirlwind of life. But tbh I never needed one. Because my life support was always with me. Actually four, sarcastic, walking, talking life supports.
I still remember the way we used to rule over class, the secret places we used to chill and our little inside jokes.
I miss bunking art class with you.
I miss having our little Circle Of Truth.
I miss waiting for recess so I could hit you up with latest news.
I miss our Starbucks meets.
I miss watching Mean Girls for the hundredth time.
And if my gang is reading this, I have something to say to you:
Hey bitches,
Heads up
(I'm not crying, you are)
