Alright a short one here we go. Btw i started 8th grade on September 1st so it's kinda like these characters are growing with me :)

Theodosia held her baby kitten in her hands. She smiled brightly as Burr went up to pet the small bundle of fluff she was holding.

"She's so cute!" Burr exclaimed, completely in love with the tiny bag of sweetness he now helped take care of. (Can you tell i want a cat)

"I'm naming her Theodosia, after me!" Theo said with a giant smile. She looked at the kitten again, looking into its eyes. "Huh, she has the same eye color as you!"

Burr looked at the kitten again. It stared at him, eyes wide with youth and kindness. "She's adorable. Can I hold her?"

Theodosia hesitated, having grown close to the little creature. "Sure," she said, gently handing the kitten to him.

He held her in his hands, close to his face. The kitten looked at him with wide eyes. He couldn't believe he got to help take care of this bag of sleep and cuddles.

After a while Aaron said, "Hello little one..." while smiling. The kitten looked at him sweetly and mewed. Aaron could barely keep in his reaction of how cute she was.

"She's perfect..."

Alex held his puppy in his hands. He didn't want to give it back to Eliza yet, as he couldn't stop holding him.

Eliza just stood, watching him play. She had never seen Alex so happy, so she just kept smiling at him and his newfound joy.

Suddenly, she heard a ding from Alex's computer, notifying them of an email. She opened his computer, and her smile faded as she read it.

"Sweety, there is an email from John Laurens here-"

Alex stiffened and interrupted with "I'll read it later", His mind flooding with the memory of their kiss after the game

"I think you need to hear it now." She shot back, hating to ruin this happy moment, but knowing this couldn't wait.

Alex sighed and said "Read it please?" He sat quietly with Philip in his lap as she recited the email to him:

"My Dearest, Alex

I am moving away to England Prep. My father found out about the fight, and he is forcing me to move away. I was going to tell you in the locker room, but it was too hard, and obviously we became preoccupied. My father has forced me to never contact you, so this is the last you will hear from me. I don't know if I will ever see you again, but I want to tell you that you are the most amazing person I have ever met.

Love, John"

As Eliza finished reading, she looked up to see Alex crying more than anyone, not even his father, had seen. Eliza walked over to hug him, but he inched away. He just silently handed her Phillip.

As he was about to walk out of the room, Eliza asked quietly "what happened in the locker room.."

Alex did not reply with an answer. He just said "I have to go home." Then he quietly walked out of the room, down the stairs, out the front door, and walked home, ignoring everyone who tried communicating with him.
