The Valar all sat there in silence, no one dared speak a word. In truth, no one knew what to begin to even say. How does one begin to discuss the death of a Maiar no not death... the murder of one. Yet, it was impossible to say it was Melkor he was imprisoned and Marion could not have done this either. He was across the sea and they would have known if it would have been him. Also, when they found the Maiar's body none of the Valar could feel their spirit and even if a Maiar or Valar is somehow killed. Their spirit remains in some manner so it could at one point reform. Yet, it is not possible for a Maiar to be killed and their spirit destroyed. Whoever did this had to be stopped.

It was Varda who started, "We need to find out who did this, they can not be allowed to get away with murder."

"I will assign Eonwe to discover who has done this," Manwe said.

"Only him? What if the thing that killed our Maiar is still out there?" Asked Yavanna.

"I can keep an eye on him while he looks into this matter," Tulkas said.

"We should also think we should ask Nerdanel and Feanor, they are very wise and may have an insight. Feanor also may know of a weapon that could have done this." Said Alue.

"You do not know of a weapon that could have done this?" Asked Yavanna. Alue shook his head and the Valar fell silent once more.

"I will go interrogate Melkor to see if in some way he had a part of this," Namo said breaking the silence.

"Very well. If no one has anything else to add then we shall end here," Manwe said. The other Valar nodded and everyone left. Manwe and Tulkas told Eonwe of his task and Eonwe were glad to help and find out who had done this. All the Maiar were in mourning for their friend and afraid if they will be next.  Very soon Tulkas and Eonwe set out for Feanor's home.

When Eonwe and Tulkas approached Feanor's house two red head's zoomed out of the door and down the pathway. With a soaking wet black haired elf close behind them. The two looked at each other and went up to the stairs entering the house. Another one of Feanor's children, the eldest was there stopped when he saw them. He looked surprised and sure of how to reply to this.

"We need to speak with Feanor and Nerdanel. Are they here?" Asked Eonwe asked.

"Uh. Yeah. I'll go get them." He replied and turned and walked the other way. He went down the stairs to Feanor's forge which was on a lower level of the house.

"Ada. You should get upstairs," Maedhros said.

"What has one of your brothers done this time?" Feanor asked.

"Nothing. It's just that the Lord Tulkas and lord Eonwe are upstairs asking for you and mother." He replied. Feanor stopped dead in his tracks and turned. "What?" He asked.

"They are upstairs asking for you. I do not know what they could want." his son replied. Feanor nodded and told him to get his mother while he took off the work jacket he had on and hurried upstairs. He greeted the two and said, "Of what can I do for the Vara."

"I believe it would be better if we wait for your wife," Tulkas said. Feanor nodded and lead them to the living room where they sat down. Nerdanel soon entered and greeted them. She then sat down beside her husband.

"We are sorry to disturb you but something has happened. Earlier today there was a Maiar who was found murdered. We are unsure how but the thing that most concerns us is that their spirit just was gone. Would any of you know how could have happened or a weapon could have done this?" Asked Enowe.

"I do not know of any weapon that could destroy a spirit," Feanor said. "As for what could have done this. I would not know."

"Neither would I. Yet, I want to if possible Melkor could have done this?" Asked Nerdanel.

"Lord Namo is looking into that but it would be very very unlikely." Said Tulkas.

"Then I have to say I am sorry. There is too little information to tell you anything," She replied. Tulkas and Eonwe nodded and left. Leaving the two elves sitting there.

"If whoever has done this could destroy a Maiar...what could happen to an elf who encounters them?" Nerdanel asked looking to her husband.

"I do not think anything good," replied Feanor. Nerdanel nods and said, "I was afraid you would say that. Until then I do find who has done this I do not want anyone to go out of the house alone."

"We can't go outside? Why?" Asked Celegorm who only heard a bit of this conversation. Feanor looked to his wife who explained what was going on.

"That's a problem. Just a bit ago Ambarussa ran out the door with Caranthir chasing them." Celegorm said looking a bit worried.

Feanor stood up and said, "I'll find them," He then quickly got ready and hurried out. Celegorm looked to Nerdanel and asked, "They be fine...right?"

"Of course they will. Now find your other brother's and tell them what is going on. Make sure they stay here." She said. Celegorm nodded and ran off to find them. Nerdanel sighed softly and went to her studio. She moved a statue and kneeled down moving the floorboard and pulling out a box. She opened it and took out a jeweled dagger that was a gift from her father. She kept it hidden for a few reasons one being she never wanted to use it or keep it out where her sons may get to it. Yet, to keep her family safe she'll do what she must.

The Twins slowed their run once they were sure that they lost their brother. "That was close," Amras said.

Amrod nodded and sat down on the ground. "Really close," He replied.

Amras joined him and the two sat there. Not after too long they heard grunts and what sounded like metal clashing. The two looked at each other and stood up. They followed the noise that they heard and ducked behind a rock that was there. They saw two figures locked into combat, one was one of the Maiar. One of Yavanna's Maiar to be exact and they were fighting someone who was cloaked in all black armor. Not an inch of skin shown and they had a hood over their face. They must have been wearing a mask as well since were their eyes were they just showed white. The twins stiffened as they hid behind the rock.

"You have nothing to say for yourself...monster?" The Maiar growled and charged the figure who raised their sword and blocked their attack. They had two swords both were long, jagged, and pitch black. They looked over their shoulder slightly to were the twins were hiding. They turned back to face the Maiar and moved the side as they attacked again.

The twins realized they had to get out of there but they were couldn't move. "Amrod. Amras." Whispered a voice. They turned and saw Caranthir running up to them keeping low. Caranthir had seen what was going on and his anger at his brother vanished. He just was worried about his brothers. He ducked down by them and said, "This way." He leads them that way but all of the figures who were fighting the Maiar jumped nearby with the Maiar close by. It seemed that during the battle the Maiar had taken one of the figure's swords. As they held it, it seemed to be burning their hand. Yet, they did not seem to care even though it was clear they were in pain. The figure stood there calmly ready for the next attacked. The Maiar missed and he ended up slashing Caranthir's face as he stood in front of his brother's to protect them. Caranthir cried out in pain and dropped to the ground.

The shout caused Feanor to look up hearing his son cry out. He rushed over there by the time he got there. The Maiar's body fell and the figure drew his blade away. He looked towards the elflings. "Get away from them!" Feanor hissed and moved over. The figure looked over at Feanor and threw down something that they held. Smoke filled the area and once it vanished they were gone. Feanor rushed to Caranthir's side and looked at his wound. The cut went from where his mouth started all the way to his forehead. His breathing was shaky as he carefully lifted into his arms.

"Come on...let's go," Feanor said to the twins. Amrod and Amras nodded and stuck close next to him as they headed back home. Once they were gone the figure stepped out of the shadows watching as Feanor and his son's vanished into the trees. They looked to their twin blades and put them away. They look down to the body of the Maiar and shake their head. They step over it and move on to their next target. However, it seemed that they'll need to make a stop first.
