Ranting
I need to rant about some stuff, mainly me realizing things about the Silmarillion.
I have been doing a lot of thinking about the Simarillion and The Lord Of The Rings and I came to realize that all his other works end happy or rather bittersweet ending. Yet, every single adventure in the Silmarillion ends with pain and death. What happened?
I really want to know about that, why did he write the book in that way? Also, there were so many versions of it. Was there a happier version in his head that he never got a chance to write down? Did he have better ideas on how to finish it?
I want to know!!!
*sighs* Well at least there are fanfictions to heal the hole in my heart after reading what happens to all these precious characters.
and for my second rant, I want to talk about the Valar. *points at them*
These noodle brains are nuts! They go to Feanor (AFTER HIS FATHER DIED) and were like 'hey. you know the gems you love? well, we want them to make it for us. '
AFTER HIS FATHER DIED! He loved his dad and remember his dad was the only parent he had. He never met his mother (which I think was one of the reasons he was so nutty. he needed a mom in his love to really show him compassion). So he flipped a bit and not even Nienna the lady of mercy realized hey there is something up with this. and in all honesty, I do not think she is good at her job at all.
Oh. We are cursing elves for having strong emotions and not helping them work through these emotions. Okay.
We are going to ignore the obvious manipulation going on at Númenor? That's fine.
We are going to a guy who's father just died and who has been manipulated my Melkor. That's nice.
We are just going to ignore all the kinslaying and the suffer of the sons of Feanor. That's cool.
We are just going to forget the fact elves have emotions? That's just fine.
Oh? The mother of Feanor is going to weave the deeds of him and her grandchildren? Well alright.
Another Valar I want to call a nut is Mandos. I mean I do like his character but may I just say one thing. Why is the person in charge of judging souls void of any compassion? I mean why? Just why?
Really. None of the Valar understand what it is to have emotions! The only one who doses is Melkor! Melkor! How does that make sense and do the Valar even do their jobs? I mean they were sent down to Middle Earth to deal with Melkor, to begin with! They forgot about that and were like okay let's just go hide.
*Groans* Seriously Eru. The guys you put in charge need to be replaced or at least go to a class about dealing with emotions.
also, in all honesty, I do headcanon that Eru is very compassionate and felt pain that Melkor turned and went off into the deep end as well as he did wish his children "the elves" to suffer as they did.
*Sighs* Well. That's it for me ranting about. Thank's for listening now if you'll excuse me I need to go drown myself in the funny side to the Silmarillion Fandom.
