So here is a modern AU yet, when I say modern I mean modern. As in the characters that you see will have the same names and personalities but the world of middle earth does not exist. The characters are just people who live in the world we all live in. So. Sit back. Relax. And enjoy. 

Maedhros rolled over and sat up as he heard a crash from upstairs. He groaned and sat up rubbing his head. "Why do I bother setting an alarm," He mumbled under his breath as he got up.

He walked into his living room and sighed as he saw his brother, Maglor passed out on the couch. He walked over and said, "You know when I gave you the key to my apartment I meant in case of emergencies." 

Maglor groaned and looked up with his hair everywhere. Half it was over his face as he sat up. "You want to be there when mom forces dad to invite family over for a dinner?" He asked. 

"Ah. So where are our other brothers?" Maedhros asked as he walked into the kitchen to get coffee. 

"Celegorm went to Curufin's place. The twins stayed home and I am not sure where Caranthir went." Maglor replied sitting up with a yawn.

"As normal. Coffee?" Maedhros asked. 

"Sure," Maglor said as Maedhros poured him a cup. He then walked over to him hand handed it over and sat down. There was a crash from the upper floor and Maedhros groaned and grabbed a broom and banged it against the ceiling. 

"Quiet down up there! It's too early in the morning!" He shouted. 

"So...your Nabors are noisy," Maglor said. 

"One of them is," He replied. "His roommate is fine. Also, how long do you plan to stay?" 

"Just till noon then I have to get ready, I have a gig tonight," Maglor replied.

"That's good. Still trying to get your own apartment then?" Maedhros asked. 

"Yep," He replied. "Still trying to find a place," 

"Well, keep looking you'll find something," He replied and then stood up. "Well I have to get going, I should have food in the fridge." 

"I'll be more than happy to raid your fridge," His brother replied with a smile. Maedhros gave a nod and chuckled. He then said, "Well enjoy," 

Maedhros then grabbed his bag and headed out of the apartment. As he walked down the stairs he saw Mairon storming out and looked at him and said, "Please tell your roommate to please respect the fact that the walls and ceilings are thin." 

"Trust me. I tell him... every day. Not my fault that he drinks enough caffeine that can kill a small animal." He replied. 

"Well. Good luck with that," He said and then walked out to his car. He got in and as he started it his phone buzzed. He looked down and saw a text from Fingon that read: Hey Cuz! How are things going?

Good. What's up? :Maedhros 

Fingon: I need a ride to an airport can you dive me there later tonight?

Sure thing, cuz :Maedhros

Fingon: 😊

Maedhros just smiled and started up his car and drove off.

Manwe looked up as he heard a loud pounding on his door. He stood up and walked over and when he opened it he blinked in surprise. "Melkor? What are you doing here?" 

"My roommate kicked me out.....again. I need a place to stay for the night." Melkor said. 

"Last time you stayed you destroyed my plants," Manwe pointed out. 

"You mean you won't let your older brother stay with you for just one night. Manwe that hurts." Melkor said. 

Manwe looked at him and sighed. "Fine...one night." 

"I knew I could count on you, brother," Melkor said with a grin. 

Manwe sighed and called, "Varda. We have a guest." 

"Who?" She called. 

"Uh...my brother," He replied. He was just met with silence then a loud, "Manwe Súlimo! You come here right this instant!" 

Manwe sighed and walked to talk to his wife. Melkor just leaned against the door as he heard shouting and his brother attempting to defend himself. A few moments later Manwe came back and said, "You can stay as long as you don't touch anything and you use your own food." 

Melkor just gave him a thumbs up.
