Before - Silmarilion One Shot

Before the creation of middle earth there was just Eru, his halls, the void, and all the Ainur. Before the music the Ainur lived in Eru's halls learning of there tasks that at one point will come about. Yet, that's not all that happened with these young future Valar.
Melkor looked around and he kept around a large piller. He sighed as no one was there. He turned around and came face to face with his younger brother. Manwe. He yelped and jumped back, "Manwe! What are you creeping around for?"
"I can ask you the same," Manwe said.
"That's none of your business. I know your following me, so knock it off." He said.
"If you knew I was following you then why did you ask?" Manwe asked. Melkor with held his groan of annoyance. He took a breath and said, "Just run along, I have things I need to do."
Manwe frowned and said, "Your going back into the void. Aren't you?"
"None of your business," Melkor said as he started walking. Manwe followed him close behind and said, "You can't keep going there. Eru dose not like it,"
"Calm down. I won't be gone long," Melkor said rolling his eyes. "Also, I'm not going alone."
"What? Who's going with you?" Manwe asked.
"That'll be me," A voice said from behind Manwe causing him to jump a bit.
"Easy there," They said chuckling. Manwe turned to face the other Ainur. Even though Melkor and Manwe were technically the oldest. Rualas always seemed older and understood things in a deeper way. Well it would make sense since he would be judged the souls of the beings that would die on middle earth.
"Don't worry. I'll keep him out of trouble," Rualas said. "I got this. When have I ever lead someone astray?"
Melkor opened his mouth but Rualas stopped him and said, "Just agree with me. You don't have to answer,"
Manwe sighed and said, "Fine....just be careful. Both of you."
Melkor did not reply to his brother. He just ran off and Manwe looked at Rualas. "Please keep your eyes on him." He said.
"You worry way to much, things will be fine. Yet, if it'll help relax you at all. I'll keep both eyes on him. Also, the two of us will have Nirel there." He replied.
"Okay," Manwe said. "Just stay safe."
"Always," He said. He gave a short nod and ran off. Manwe sighed and crossed his arms. Those three were always going off and doing only Eru knows what. Yet, it made sense since out of all the Ainur those three were a little different so they could best do their job. Nirel, protecting and guiding. Rualas, judge of souls and someone who could understand fate a very special way. Then Melkor, the one who'll be king when they shape the world. Manwe sighed and turned around. He'll just leave them to do what they do.

"Still nothing," Melkor grumbled.
"It was still fascinating," Said Nirel. "Or do you not enjoy searching endless darkness with the only one who could guide you through it."
Melkor looked up at her and said, "Not that. Just I have a mind for creating and I can only do it with the-"
Nirel put a finger over Melkor's mouth and said, "I know. You said it many times."
Melkor looked at her and blinked. She smirked and moved her hand away. "Well. I should get going. See you around,"
Melkor smiled and turned to Rualas who just folded his arms. He smirked a bit and said, "The both of you are hopeless."
"We aren't that bad...are we?" He asked.
"I won't say anything on that matter but for tell your brother your fine. He dose worry about you." Rualas said.
"He shouldn't. I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself." Melkor said.
"Sure. You can take care of yourself. You also can be completely honest with Nirel." He replied. "Yet, who am I to say anything. All's I know is how to judge souls and read fate. That's it."
Melkor glared at him a bit as he walked away. Melkor sighed though knowing that Rualas was right. He sighed and went to find Manwe.
He found his little brother sitting off to the side. "I'm okay. See?" He said.
Manwe looked up and jumped to his feet. He hugged his older brother and said, "I know was worried about you."
"I know but I can take care of myself." Melkor said. He poked Manwe in the forehead. Manwe moved back and glared at him.
"I know that but I can't help but worry about you. Everyone you come back you seem more and more distent." Said Manwe.
Melkor sighed and said, "Rualas and Nirel go with me and they are fine."
"They aren't looking for power," Said Manwe quietly.
Melkor sighed and bent down. "I swear to you I'll be just fine."
"You better be," Manwe said.

Much time passed and it was just a bit before the music would start. It was around then most of the Ainur who was going to go down to Middle earth were spending time together to plan of how they best can help the others. Of course Melkor was not there.
"He should be here," Ulmo said folding his arms.
"He's just upset that from him going into the void lost his title as king." Said Nienna.
"What of those two," he said pointing at Rualas and Nirel.
"Yes. What about us?" Asked Nirel. "You think we should not be here since we searched the void too? If you think that complain to Eru."
Ulmo shut his mouth and glared at her. She just smiled at him and waved. Manwe sighed and said, "We can just start, Melkor would be here soon."
"I am here," Melkor said. He folded his arms and sat down. "Go on. Start, I am listening."
Manwe looked at his brother and started their meeting. Melkor listened to the conversation. He looked to Nirel who looked at him for a moment then looked away. He sighed and then looked up when he heard Eru said that they'll now make the music to shape the world. He did joing in as all the Ainur sang but he was quieter then the others. He added his own change to the music.

Manwe opened his eyes and shook his head. It had been ages since he thought about before the music and the other Ainur. He sighed as he remembered Rualas chose to stay there and told Manwe to give his task to someone else. Nirel stayed there to since she cared for Melkor and felt betrayed he could do such a thing to the music.
He often wondered how things will be different if Rualas kept his take and she came down. As well as Melkor did not change so much.
A/n: I am not sure how this one turned out. It was supposed to be about how the Valar were when hey were younger before the music. Yet, it feels off to me and a bit everywhere. Please tell me what you guys think.
Also this idea may lead to another idea I have since I like the concept that Namo was not the original one to judge souls since shouldn't one show compassion if your judging the dead? And it seems to be that compassion was not his strong suit.
