Epilogue

Wait what? PoohBear are you serious? Epilogue already?

Yes, that's right!!

It's the story of a middle class person. What do you expect? The problems are unending. And a middle class person strives to find a little happiness in everything while dreaming that one day he might find a bigger one.

So, PoohBear what happened to Sidharth and Sana's dream? Did they get a bigger house?

Well!! Yes they did but..

BAAARFFF

BAAARFFF
Sidharth caressed Sana's back while she emptied her gut that had only water. This had been the result of that one day  they had romanced at her parents' house. Well, Sidharth bowled the first ball and Sana seemed to hit it for the boundary in the maiden ball itself.

Well, I might have missed a small detail in my previous chapter. 😬

Out of excitement, Sidharth forgot to carry a helmet before he went on that romantic ride with his wife that day. So, as a result, Sana is now nearing the end of her first trimester of pregnancy.

They still celebrated their happiness when they heard the news. The morning sickness diminished with the onset of the second trimester. With whatever their middle class status permitted them, Sidharth took her out to fulfill the little pregnancy cravings Sana had. After all they could spread their legs only as per the size of their blanket.

As months passed they accumulated money but could they use it to rent a bigger house now? Nope, not so soon as they had to shell out the savings on Sana's c-section delivery bills. Sidharth got promoted this year at the office but he also got promoted at home. He was a father to a beautiful baby girl now.  While promotion at the office paid him a little more, the promotion at home made him pay out a lot more. The joy of parenting comes with cost, you see? Nonetheless they were a happy middle class family now. Sana spent a few months at her maternal home after delivery and returned home.

Their daughter turned 1 and they celebrated a small birthday party at their new 2BHK rented home. Sidharth and Sana finally had their own bedroom but they shared it with the little angel who slept between their parents. Romance was occasional and love making was rare and a quick affair which was less of pleasure and more of fear of being caught by their little daughter.

"Sia.. baby, would you like to sleep with your grandma and grandpa?", Sidharth asked his two year old daughter. Sana looked at her husband trying to convince.

"Nooo.. I want mumma.", Sia rejected his plea right away that made Sana giggle and Sidharth frown.

"I want your mumma too..", he whined earning a glare and a slap from Sana.

"Why you want my mumma? Go to your mumma..", Sia sassily answered before hugging her mother, who could hardly control her laughter.

"What are you laughing at? Help me..", he glared at Sana seeking her help.

"What help? She is your daughter. Don't you see her answers are logically correct. I am not good at logic, that's your forte..", Sana replied.

"Argghhh.. Sia, baby. Do you want a little brother to play with? You can get one if you sleep with your grandma and grandpa.", Sidharth asked sweetly.

"I don't.. Naina bua (aunty) said brother's are meanie boys..", Sia answered after pondering for a while on the offer.

"Rrrr.. This Naina.. she has to be my greatest enemy. What is teaching my kid? Oh God! I regret having a sister now.", Sidharth muttered grumpily.

Sana giggled at her husband's behaviour. She couldn't decide who was more adorable. Was it Sia or was it Sidharth?

"Well, Sia, how about a little sister then?", Sidharth asked.

"Papa, you said you re..re..reget having sister and she is your enemy.. Sia don't want enemy.", Sia shook her head in negative as she replied making Sidharth facepalm. Sana was laughing in splits hearing her answer.

"What did you eat before birthing her?", Sidharth asked Sana before waving his invisible white flag in defeat. There was no way he could win over his own little creation.

This is the happy ending of the book Middle Class.. but not the actual middle class people.

They work their a$$ off their whole life to pay home loans, medical bills, education loan, personal loans taken for marriage, credit cards etc. Family and relatives are first priority even though you can never satisfy them. Children are big responsibility. They push them so hard towards success as they couldn't find success themselves in life. And romance, well that always takes a back seat. Yet, our country has the highest population guys.. 😜

Story based on 90% Middle Class Families in India.. 😌

Hope you won't throw slippers at me for writing this story.

Lastly, signing off by dedicating these songs to all the Middle Class readers. I am a huge fan of these songs, they describe middle class and life for me.

Believer - Imagine Dragon
Pain! Oh let the bullets fly oh let them rain..
My love, my life, my drive, it came from Pain!

Enemy - Imagine Dragon

Tell you you're the greatest, but once you turn they hate us..
Oh the misery.. everybody wants to be my enemy

Love,
PoohBear ❤️❤️
