Could he possibly be thinking where I spent the money? Should I tell him?

She contemplated whether to tell him or not.

Flashback

After having a little discussion with her sister-in-law, Naina, Sana went out to search for the two men at the hospital. She found Vivek speaking over the phone with his back facing her. When she went closer, she heard him talking with the insurance company to settle the hospital bill before discharge. When he turned around, his face looked pale and exhausted.

"What happened brother?", she asked.

"Umm.. no..nothing..", he stuttered and it wasn't rocket science that Sana couldn't understand that he was lying.

"Brother, Stop lying. We are a family. Tell me what happened?", she said and he bit his lower lip nervously.

"The insurance.. insurance copy are denying to settle the bills be..because it was a case of attempted sui..suicide.. I d..d..don't know how I will manage to arrange the bill.", he stuttered feeling mortified by his situation.

"Oh!! Is that all?", she sighed making him look at her in shock since it wasn't a small thing for him. He was dreading the reaction and outcome if the bill is unsettled.

"Brother, don't worry. I will take care of the bill.", She said having read his shocked reaction.

"What? N..n..no.. I will arrange the m..money. I have few friends who might help.", he stuttered feeling ever more embarrassed on her offer.

"So, your friends are closer to you than your family now?", she asked and he literally didn't have any words to reply.

"Brother, please don't worry. I have it all covered.", she smiled with assurance and he nodded with a tiny smile with relief.

"Thank you. I will repay you soon, Sana.", Vivek said even though they both knew it would be difficult for him to manage the money, given the fact that he was the only bread earner in the family that had his parents, sister, her new born and his wife.

"Brother, don't even think of it. She is my sister-in-law as well. Moreover, it's us who got her admitted here because she was staying at her maternal home. So it's our responsibility. But please don't let this out to anyone.", Sana requested.

Vivek nodded his head and they both went to settle the bill. After which, Sana asked Vivek to go to Naina while she went searching for Sidharth, who was nowhere to be found.

She went to call him outside the hospital and saw Sidharth walking out of the ATM. His face looked a bit worrisome so she decided to follow him without getting noticed by him. She found him meeting the police in a secluded area beside the hospital.

"Here, Sir.", Sidharth said handing a bunch of money to the cop.

"Hmm.. how much?", the cop muttered while quickly shoving the money into his pocket.

"Twenty thousand.",Sidharth replied.

"Hmm.. okay..", The cop smiled.

"Sir, now there won't be any problem, right? I understand that suicide is a crime and is punishable offense but she was depressed. I have already scolded her.", Sidharth said.

"Don't worry. I will take care.", the cop said tapping his pocket.

"Thanks.", Sidharth muttered. Sana pressed her lips thin and went back to the ward.

Flashback ends.

No, I can't tell him about the payment of the bill. What if he gets insecure again that his wife paid for his sister's medical bills instead of him. He thinks it is Vivek brother, who paid it. Let it be. I can't hurt his male ego all over. I don't have the patience to fight or stay away from him again. Moreover, he himself has already shelled money out of his pocket to pay the cop.

She crawled a little closer to him and hugged him by his torso under the blanket, snuggling into his chest.

"Sleep well. We don't have to go home today. I told Maa that we are staying here today since your parents are coming tomorrow.", he said hugging and patting her back.

It was early in the morning, when the Sun hadn't even shown up fully that Sana shook him by his arm to wake up.

"Sidhaaarth.. Sidhaarth.. wake up.."

"Huh? What happened? Are you alright?", he asked scared and startled glancing at the time on the wall clock.

"No..", she nodded.

"What happened dear?", he asked sitting up straight quickly.

"I want you..", she spoke like a baby. A tinge of red colour adorned her face due to shyness.

"Huh? What are you talking about?", he looked a bit perplexed about whether he heard her correctly.

"Idiot.. I said I want you.. my parents will be back at 11am. I don't know if we will ever get this opportunity anytime soon.", she said with a pout.

He smirked devilishly before quickly pouncing on her like a wild beast that made her giggle. After making love for the nth time in the morning, they fell asleep exhausted. They still have 3 hours until her parents arrive so why not grab a sleep for an hour.

At 10:30am, after cleaning the messy house (room) and showering, she called up her parents to check. She spoke with them for a few minutes before disconnecting.

"Is the train on time?", he asked.

"No, they said it's delayed by 2 hours. So, now they would arrive at 1pm instead.", Sana said throwing the phone on the bed.

"Oh wow!! Then how about?", he smirked like a naughty demon.

"As much as I want, I can't. I am still sore.", she said with a crying face.

"Hehehe.. want to cuddle?", he asked and she nodded her head like a puppy.

They both restricted themself to cuddles and kisses until her parents arrived.

"Oh!! So you finally decided to show up. I was thinking that I might have to search for another suitable husband for my daughter.", was Sana's father's sarcastic comment when he met Sidharth. He didn't know what exactly happened between Sana and Sidharth but as a father, he had definitely sensed his daughter being disturbed all these days she stayed at her maternal home. With that statement, he just wanted Sidharth to know that he would lose her if he repeats the same stupidity.

"Hushh!!", Sana mother gestured him to calm down.

Sidharth pressed his lips thin and hung his head low in guilt. Sana however, was in a dilemma. Should she be proud of her supportive and protective father or feel pity for her husband who looked like a puppy kicked on the butt right now. She decided to stay silent since she couldn't take sides.

There were no futher discussions or arguments as her parents were already tired. They ate lunch together in silence before Sana and Sidharth bid adieu to her parents and went to their home.

(Knock Knock)

Sana nudged Sidharth, who was clinging to her, when she heard the door latch being turned. When the door finally opened, Sana and Sidharth's mouth hung in shock.

"You?", they both spoke in unison.

"What? Arggghhh.. not again..", Naina facepalmed. Sidharth and Sana's reaction were the same as her parents when they had seen Naina at their door step earlier. It had been two weeks since Naina was discharged and went to stay with her husband Vivek. Today, when she decided to give a surprise visit to her parents house, their facial expressions were more of shock than surprise. Why not? They dreaded thinking that she was probably back again after an argument with her husband and they feared that she might try to commit the unthinkable again.

"Are you alright?", Sidharth and Sana asked still standing outside the door.

"I am. Now come on in now. I have been waiting for you for so long.", Naina replied pulling her sister-in-law, Sana inside cheerfully.

"Awww.. Sana bhabhi, I am so happy.", Naina danced and hugged Sana that made Sana chuckle.

"Oh!! Thank God you came. This girl had been so impatient and literally bugged me with the same question 'When will Sana bhabhi come back?' at least a million times.", Rekha sighed.

"Am I not visible to your eyes?", Sidharth asked frowning because his sister was only giving attention to his wife but not him.

"Not today bro. Stop sulking.", Naina said earning a smack on her head by her brother.

Naina unboxed the sweets and stuffed a big piece into Sana's mouth. Sana picked a piece from the box and fed Naina.

"What's going on?", Sidharth questioned puzzled by their action.

Rekha shrugged since she didn't know anything about the sweets. Naina stuffed her mother and father's mouth with sweets as well.

"What are you two upto? Did I miss some..", Sidharth's words were buried under sweets that was shoved into his mouth by Naina.

"I GOT A JOB!!!!!", Naina exclaimed loudly.

"Woahhh!!!", Everyone exclaimed cheerfully.

"What Job? When are you joining? Which organisation?", Sidharth asked.

"As a clerk in Creationz Enterprises. I have to join from next week.", Naina said.

"Creationz Enterprises? Isn't it the same organisation where Sana works?", Sidharth was flabbergasted

"Yes, it is. Guess what? Sana bhabhi is also my boss and I could get this job only because of her.", Naina disclosed.

"What? Really?", Sidharth asked and Naina nodded their head to confirm. Sana shrugged biting her lips when her eyes met with Sidharth's questionable stare.

"Thanks Sana. Without letting anyone of us know, you have sorted our problems. We are so proud of you", Sidharth's father praised.

Rekha hugged Sana showing gratitude. Sidharth, on the other hand, fell silent and that troubled Sana a lot. Was this a sign that the history was repeating itself yet again? Did his male ego resurface? Was he feeling insecure that Sana was solving their problem using the power of her higher position at the office? Was she ready to go all over it again? Would she be able to forgive him this time if he behaves similarly as last time? Would she return if they had differences again?

Vivek came to pick up his wife, Naina and they all bid her adieu. Before leaving Vivek thanked Sana for helping them. He being the sole bread earner felt like a lone bull pulling the cart. The weight of 5 dependents on his back was too much to pull. Now his better half had taken the half of the weight on her shoulder. Together they were going to pull the burden of life and complete their journey much easily now.

Sana cleaned up the kitchen alone, after sending her mother-in-law to sleep. After all, her mother-in-law had already done her part of duty by cooking by the time she returned from office.

"Sana..", Lost in her thoughts, she scrubbed the plates when she heard her name whispered in her ear.

"Huh?", A slight gasp left her mouth at the sudden proximity of her husband. She turned around to face him, dreading what was going to be thrown at her.

Her eyes widened, when he cupoed her face and kissed her lips gently. A few seconds and she closed her eyes to let the tear of fear fall from her eyeslids and disappear, as she got carried away deep into the kiss. He still wanted her. Does it mean he didn't feel insecured of her this time?

When the two halted to grab a fresh supply of oxygen to their lungs, they attached their forehead together. Her foam filled hand was embracing him from his shoulders while his hand was snaked around her waist perfectly. They both huffed, her eyes shut.

"Sana, thank you.", he uttered making her eyes flinch open. They both looked into each other's eyes. He kissed her yet again but it was a smaller one this time.

"You know. I was so worried from the day Vivek told me about his problems. No wonder he loved Naina but for how long? At some point, he would break with the burden he had to bear alone. As a brother, I dreaded that this was leading into something more severe in future. I felt helpless and didn't know how I could help them. I was worried for Naina. What if she tried to harm herself again?", He unleashed his heart that pained a lot. Sana placed her head on his heart and hugged him.

"Tssshhhh.. everything is fine Sidharth. Naina is fine. I will take good care of her in office as well. I will train her well, so she gets stronger.", Sana assured. She was relieved herself that her worst fear had not occured. Sidharth was a changed person. Could she possibly tell him about the money she spent on hospital bill. She hated that she kept any secrets from him but the fear of his reactions always overpowered her mind.

"S.. Sidhaaarth..", she called him innocently.

"Hmmm..", he hummed patting her head softly that was leaning against his chest.

"I want to tell you about.. about the money.. that I spent from my.. my savings..", She stuttered still contemplating and fearing his reaction.

"Sshhh.. I don't want to know about it. It's your money. I know that you wouldn't have spent it on something that wasn't worth.", he said making her heart swell due to happiness. She straightened herself and looked at his face intently before prepping it with kisses all over his face. He hugged her tightly and groped her back so firmly to show how much he wanted their intimacy to escalate into something more intense. Sana moaned softly. But could they do anything else apart from this? No, not until they get a bigger house on rent.
