When the auto rickshaw came to a halt near Sidharth's home, Rekha and Amar were stunned to see Sana with Sidharth yet again. There was still a week's time for Naina's wedding. The guests were expected to not arrive so early that too a mere friend. Sidharth had silenced them last time with some reason but now the suspicion leaped up again.

Their raised eyebrows made Sana lower her head in embarrassment. Sidharth paid the rickshaw driver and looked up at his parents with a smile. Their quizzical look and Sana's reaction made him roll his eyes.

"What happened? Shall we go inside?", Sidharth asked his dumbfounded parents and they nodded their heads in yes after glancing at each other.

Amar and Rekha walked ahead while Sidharth and Sana followed them inside. Sidharth slid his hand around her waist pulling her closer which made her gasp and look at him totally flabbergasted.

"Sidharth?", she questioned his action in whisper.

"Hmm..I am not wasting time this time.", He mumbled.

"Don't give them a sudden shock please.", She whispered trying to make an unsuccessful attempt to create some space between them.

"They are already in shock. Didn't you see their reaction. What better opportunity than this to continue with the flow?", He asked.

"Fine, but leave me..", she pushed him harder but he didn't budge.

"I didn't marry to leave you.", He whispered near her ear.

"Huh!! (Gasps) Pleaaaasee!!", She pleaded with puppy eyes and he obliged staring intensely into her eyes with a soft smile.

She diverted her sight for a second and realised his parents stare at them. Nervously she put down her head like a guilt ridden criminal. Sidharth looked at them.

"What's happening here, gentleman?", Asked his father.

"I wanted to tell to you both something", Sidharth said in one breath. Naina who came out of her room with a smiling face, halted in her trail sensing the intensity of the situation.

"Is it urgent?", His father asked.

"It is very important.", Sidharth replied.

"Hmmm.. go on!", Said his father.

Sidharth held Sana's hand softly. Her hands were cold as ice.

"Sana is not my just friend", Sidharth said.

"Hmmm.. We sensed it last time itself. She is your girlfriend right?", His father asked.

"No.. She is my wife.", Sidharth answered shocking his parents.

"What?", Rekha and Amar said in unison.

"We married in court 6 months ago.", Said Sidharth giving them an even bigger shock.

"Six months ago? That means you were already married when you came for Naina's engagement?", Asked his mother.

"Hmm..", Sidharth nodded his lowered head.

"That can't be true because you agreed to marry Divya", Rekha said.

Sidharth felt mortified remembering his stupidity.

"Were y'all really married when you came for Naina's engagement?", Amar probed.

Sana's grip on his hand strengthened to boost his confidence.

"I am sorry Babuji. It was my mistake. I was concerned about Naina's engagement hence I agreed to..", Sidharth didn't continue because he knew his parent's won't buy his reason.

"That's disgusting!! Are you that stupid?", His father yelled. Sidharth could no longer answer.

"Aaa.. mmm.. He thought he was borrowing sometime.", Sana tried answering for him.

"I understand that he is your husband but that stupidity cannot have any valid explanation except if someone was pointing a gun on his forehead.", Amar replied Sana making her put her head down.

"I am sorry babuji. I made a mistake.", Sidharth apologies.

"If she could forgive you then who are we to speak. We didn't even get an invite to witness your wedding.", Amar spoke sarcastically.

"Does her parent's know?", Rekha asked.

Sidharth nodded in agreement.

"Great! That means only we were kept in dark.", Amar sighed.

"They were also not part of our marriage.", Sidharth spoke in favour of her parents.

"Great!! What greats kids we gave birth to.  Naina, I hope you aren't married as well and planning to tell us minutes before the marriage next week.", Amar's words dripped sarcasm.

Naina nodded her head in negative.

"Good.. but Sidharth, what are we supposed to tell people who would attend the marriage? She is our daughter in law, we just learnt about it last week as we weren't invited for a wedding.", Amar kept ranting and bickering, hurt by his son's act.

"Amar.. what's done is done. We cannot go back and change anything. Let's talk about what needs to be done now.", Rekha suggests to reduce the building tension.

"Hmm.. cool! Yes, gentleman. Tell me what we should do next?", Amar scoffed which made Rekha roll her eyes.

"Amar!! We cannot keep crying about this. We have a greater responsibility to deal with right now. That's Naina's wedding. But first and foremost, we ought to invite her parents for the wedding.", Rekha suggests. Sidharth squeezed Sana's hand feeling a bit relaxed while Sana felt happy with Rekha's maturity.

"Yes, let them attend this marriage atleast because their dream of attending their daughter's marriage is gone down the drain.", Amar scorned.

"Well, Sidharth and Sana, go freshen up and come for dinner quickly.", Rekha said.

"Maa, I hope you have cooked extra because unlike last time, I don't want my wife to sleep on an empty stomach because it won't suffice you.", Sidharth said.

"Huh? Was that the reason she didn't eat that day?", Rekha asked.

"Hmm..", Sidharth nodded and Rekha instantly hugged Sana. Her eyes welled up.

"Why are you crying Maa?", Sana asked

"As a wife or mother, I went unnoticed by my husband and children. I always ate last and sometimes slept hungry. They had never paid attention if there was enough food for me after they ate. Here, the girl who had just visited, not only thought about me but also stayed hungry. I couldn't complain to Sidharth because he found a gem which I doubt if we could have done.", Rekha said. Sana bit her lips feeling extremely shy.

"Rekha, from today onwards, you will join us while we have our food. You will neither starve nor eat alone.", Amar ordered strictly before marching to his room.

"He is angry with us..", Sana spoke in a depressed tone.

"Hmm.. that's his way of showing love. Don't worry, he will be fine.", Rekha chuckled.

Naina hugs Sana as soon as she reaches her room.

"I am so happy. Now I can call you bhaabhi without any fear. It was so awkward to address you as Didi (sis) and him as bhaiyya in front of others. Puff..", Naina sighs happily. Hearing her words Sana titters while Sidharth slaps her on her head playfully.

"Aaa.. bhaabhi, look bhaiyya is hitting me.", Naina complains like a little kid.

"Why did you hit her?", Sana narrows her eyebrows at Sidharth, with her hand on hips.

"It wasn't hard.. I just hit her playfully", Sidharth explained like an innocent kid.

"But you did hit her..", Sana said strictly.

"Yeah, she is my sister.", He said nonchalantly.

"So?", Sana asked.

"So?", He scratched his head in confusion

"Get out of our room..", Sana said.

"What?", Sidharth looked at her with his eyes open awide.

"What's what? Did you forget that this is mine and Naina's room?", Sana asked.

"That was last time. This time it's different.", He answered.

"What's different?", Sana asked.

"This time you are my wife. So she should be one going out and giving us privacy.", He cited reasons.

"So, you mean to say that I wasn't your wife last time?", Sana asked.

"Aaa.. mmm.. well.. you were.. but my parents didn't know then..", he said.

"So?", Sana asked. Naina tee-heed which made Sidharth frown.

"What's with you Sana? Why so many So's?", He whined.

"It is what it is.", Sana shrugged.

"Fine! I am leaving.", He frowned kicking his leg on the floor.

"No!! Wait, I will leave. I am sorry. I thought it was all just a fun banter but you got worked up.", Naina spoke apologetically blocking his way.

Sidharth stared at her face for a while before bursting into laughter. Soon Sana joined him.

"Stay.. I will settle in the living room.", Sidharth said cupping her face. She looked up with a puppy face into her caring brother's face.

"Enjoy the pleasure of this room for another week then the entire house is for me.", he teased her with his tongue out.

"Bhaabhi..", Naina whined in a complaining tone.

"Stop troubling her Sidharth..", Sana scolds.

"Unfortunately, that isn't possible but I can make some adjustments if you promise to be by my side in the living room and allow me to trouble you instead.", He said flirtatiously to Sana making her cheeks go red.

"Ahem ahem..", Naina coughed which made Sana put her head down in embarrassment.

"Naina, why don't you go out and take some cough syrup?", Asked Sidharth.

"Yeah, I am. I need to help Maa with dinner", Naina chuckled giving them the privacy.

"So Mrs. Sana Sidharth Joshi, you didn't answer to my offer.", Sidharth hugged her from behind pulling her closer. Her body shivered and heated up with the proximity.

"H.. how.. can.. I?", Sana's breath hitched when he nuzzled his nose sensuously on her nape.

"I can't wait to move into our own rented space. It feels like I have been craving for you since ages. I want you." He said tangling their finger and pulling her even closer into himself.

With those words of his, the past feelings of him rejecting her vanished from her memory. She softly moaned closing her eyes when he left trail of kisses from her shoulder to ears. Unable to handle his sweet torture she turns around and hugs him. His strong arms felt like a safe home to her. Lifting up her chin he devoured the taste of her lips slowly. They both pulled away to breathe.

"Sidhaaarth.. I should go out and help aunty in kitchen.", Sana said.

"Hmm.. will you meet me outside after everyone is gone to sleep?", He asks.

"I will..", she promised with a quick peck on his lips before leaving to join her mother-in-law and Naina in the kitchen.

Naina raised her eyebrows at Sana teasingly making Sana blush.

"Sana, do you know to cook?", Asked Rekha.

"Hmmm.. Yes Aunty. A little bit though.", Sana answered snapping the edges of beans.

"How do you address your mother?", Rekha inquired.

"I call her Maa..", Sana said.

"Hmm.. Sidharth and Naina also call me Maa. When Sidharth was little he used to call me Aayi. I liked being addressed as Aayi but when he started going to school, he started to call me Maa because his friends called their mothers as Maa. Aunty seems too formal. I was thinking if you can address me as...", Rekha suggests.

"Aayi..", Sana completed her sentence. Rekha looked at her and nodded with a smile.

"You sound sweeter than Sidharth.", Rekha said.

"Aren't mother-in-law and daughter-in-law supposed to be in different teams? But here you ladies seemed to have ganged up against me..", Sidharth said sitting on the platform of the kitchen. He snatched a bean from Sana's hand and took a bite.

"Oh!! So you want us to be in different team? Fine, tell me which team you want to join?", Rekha asked.

Sidharth, who was busy chewing the bean, momentarily froze. He looked at his mother, who smirked and then at Sana, who raised her one eyebrow in question. He swallowed the beans in his mouth quietly.

He cursed himself mentally for getting into such dilemma.

"Ummm.. Babuji is calling me.", He said.

"Really? I couldn't hear him at all. Did you hear anything Bhaabhi?", Naina asked.

Sana nodded her head in no.

"Oh wait!! Bhaiyya is escaping Maa's question.", Naina teases her brother.

"I am not!", Sidharth answered.

"Then tell us whose team are you?", Naina insists.

"Whichever team Babuji is, I am in the opposite team. Now go ask Babuji which team he is in.", Sidharth smirked before vacating the place but not without winking at his wife who had a soft smile.
