In mid afternoon students were playing here and there in the stadium. The monsoon wind was filled hot as the fireball was stubborn to reduce its heat and seeing its stubbornness the poor clouds ran away.

"Hey Rithuuu! Stop there yaar, I can't run" Lekha yelled at Rithika who was walking very fast (no no running) angrily.

"Ahhh!" Lekha whimpered as she fall down in the ground.

"What do you think you are doing? Didn't I say not to talk with me?" Rithika came near her to help her to get up.

Taking this as a chance Lekha stood up and hugged her.

"I will leave you only if you forgive me" she said hugging her.

"Nooooo! I wont" Rithu was strong at her decision.

"What if i give you my hand made mushroom briyani"

"Noo I wont"

" What if i write your biography with my own hands"

"This is too much, why do have, others hand with you ? and I wont"

"What if I give you a Dairy milk "

"Not enough "

"What if I say Love you Rithuuu"

"Okay! Will you do it again"

"Nope"

"Promise me"

"Promise you My dear lovable friend Rithuu I won't copy my tests once again, sorry!"

Rithika hugged her back and said,

"Love you too, come lets eat briyani"

Lekha took two step back.

"I didn't bring briyani"

She started to run...

"You cheat stop there"

she started to chase her, finally they ended up in dining hall of their college.

Lekha opened her tomato rice and Rithu her dosa.

"Give your hand made Mushroom briyani" Rithu mocked lekha, she gave her a sheepish smile.

They were eating with lekha's random bla blas.

"Girl! Lekha"

"Yass, dude"

"See that boy Ayush, no one is giving him place to sit can we call him"

"Yup! Okay, I heared that he is being bullied by boys for his appearance"

"These are very narrow minded people wait I ll call him"

She turned towards the boy and signalled him to come there..

He came near them getting extremely scared.

"What are you doing?" Lekha asked. He got scared.

"Idiot girl don't scare him, you can have lunch with us ayush please sit" Rithu said glaring at lekha. He went to sit beside Rithu.

"Won't you sit here?" Lekha played again.

"No,no not like that " He immediately ran and sat beside her.

"Good boy!" He sat there silently.

"Not hungry?" Rithu asked he nodded something between yes and no.

Both Lekha and Rithu started laughing.

"Did you get scared of her?" Rithu asked smilingly.

He turned towards lekha who was raising her eyebrows again he nodded in between yes and no.

"Aww! Ayush we are your friends okay, she just trying to mess up with you. Don't mind her" Rithu said , he nodded but the horror was evident in his face.

"Come on Ayush! I was just playing with you , lets be friends I m Lekha, this is Rithika my one and only lovable friend and now you are added in the list, now introduce yourself" She smiled and patted his shoulder.

"I m Ayush, no one's friend" He said and hung his head low.

"Hey!Ayush You got into the friend list of The Great great Lekha and here you are saying you don't have friends and also you forgot me also" she said sighing.

"Really" He asked with a glint of joy dancing in his eyes.

"Do you want proof, here eat my Mushroom briyani I will eat yours"...She gave her lunch to him and she took his.

On seeing his reaction Rithu chuckled.

"How is Mushroom briyani?" She asked eating his fried rice.

"Huh! Yeah nice but I thought it is tomato rice" He shuttered.

"yeah! that is tomato rice only for her it is briyani" Rithu chuckled at her.

"Yeah I m from an poor family I cant afford mushrooms "... she said wiping her fake tears.

He chuckled lowly.

"Atlast with God's grace you smiled"... Lekha said keeping her hands on her chest.

As they started to eat Rithu enquired,

"What's your problem? tell us we won't judge you, we are your friends...Rithu said with concern.

"Actually they bully me as I m lean and my voice is also not so deep like other boys of my . So they bully me by calling sissy and Ayushi"  he said head hung low.

"No supported you?" Lekha asked.

"They did but it did not last long, they were also bullied so they stopped being friend with me, You will also face the same don't tell me as your friend .After they will ask me who you are?"  he said sadly.

"What will you tell?" Rithu asked.

"What should I tell?" He asked innocently.

Lekha took her spoon and kept in his throat as if she's gonna slit his throat.

"Dare you tell them, we are not your friends.
TELL THEM WE ARE YOUR FRIENDS NOT ONLY TO THEM TO THE WHOLE COLLEGE WHOEVER ASKS YOU! IF THEY MESS WITH ME OR YOU I KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH THEM. TELL ME WHO I AM TO YOU?" she threatened giving pressure, he blinked not knowing what to do.

"WHO I AM TO YOU ?"  she asked again.

"My friend "... as he said, she kept the spoon down and patted his shoulder and smiled.

"Maintain this okay" she said sat down.

"Don't mind her nuts cracked" Rithu was stopped by

"What madam? I didn't hear " lekha asked.

"Do i want say it again? I don't mind saying it again" Rithika smirked.

"Ok! I m forgiving you as you said sorry" she said and started scrolling her Instagram.

"See Ayush we are your friends, you can tell it to whoever you want we have the guts to face and no one will dare to mess up the cave women sitting near you"  lekha scoffed as Rithika completed.

"Tell your number" she asked, he gave.

"See I have added you in my watsapp group only we three, you can share and ask us whatever you want and importantly we won't behave sympathetically" she said.

" And I know you are chemistry and we are microbiology so you are ground floor we are in 1st. Evening you wait for us we ll go together" Rithu said.

"Okay! Thank you so much" Ayush thanked them.

Their friendship grew deeper, they couldn't stop the bullies but they supported him to overcome them.

Their families become closer too, Ayush's parents had great respect towards these girls.

That was their last semester, Ayush joined their college in the early semester of final year, now its just they have hardly a month for their final exams.

One fine day girls went for a project submission.

They did well and came out.

"What do you think will our project get selected?  Lekha asked with a worried expression.

"ohoo! Girl we've given our best and let's hope for the best" Rithu patted lekha's shoulder.

"Call that friend of yours " Lekha said in annoyed tone.

"Why, isn't he your friend?" Rithu asked dialing his number.

" No, he's not! you know what he said, you are the sweet one and I'm not cute and sweet" she said in a totally annoyed tone.

" you Girl. I don't have energy to fight with you now. call him soon"  she said.

Ritu chuckled and dialled his number again but he didn't pick up.

The third time the phone was picked up but but the person answered was Lekha's dad.

" Ritu can you come to ABB Hospital ma" he said.

" uncle is anything wrong" she asked back.

" maybe a little Ayush tried to kill himself reach here soon by a cab but don't panick" He said.

Then Ritu and Lekha reached the hospital panting then called his number again....

he said a room number and told them to come there.

There the most expected person, was sitting in reclined positions sucking his pomogranite juice.

When he saw them he grinned ear to ear, because he know what's gonna next..

chapppp!!!

He sat there keeping his palm in his cheek, as he was slapped by lekha.

"Do you have something called brain or not or should I borrow one? Why and when? spill the beans by yourself, I know you are sitting a rock now" Lekha spoke harshly.

"Lekha! Shut up you are being harsh on him" Rithu barked at her. she just twisted her lips😒

"What happened Ayush?" Rithu asked.

"Today morning when I went to college that gang was following me everywhere and were taunting me"

"What you did?" Rithu asked.

"I ignored as you said" he said.

"Then what?" Lekha again growled.

"Didn't I say you to shut?" Rithu glared at her.

"Then?" (Rithu)

"Then after lunch all staffs went to meeting that time we were in class that time, they-y they-y made me wear salwar-rr and-dd kept bindi for me and took-kk picture and shared it on Instagram"  Tears started to flow as he said.

Both the tried console them.

"See here Ayush suicide is not the way to end things and it is not a solution. Did know you why you born ? why you born to your parents and why you born in this country? Do you know any of this? Did you decide any of these things" Rithika questioned him.

He nodded negatively.

"Then who are you to decide to take the life?
what right you have on his life? you are responsible to your own life but you do not own this life, someone who created you, only has the right to destroy you "  Rithu advised him.

" Did Amulya akka and priyanka akka give you conselling session? Is it a waste now?" Lekha barked on him.

"No! Its not waste" he said immediately.

"How the hell is that?" she shouted.

"Lekha we are in hospital" her father glared.

"Tell me how?" she yelled again but this time lowly.

"I first slit my wrists but after that I thought about all your words and love for me, so I myself called dad and came to hospital" he said with neutral face.

"That's good! atleast you thought about us" she said not looking onto him.

He pulled her near him and said,

"Sorry! yaar last time and last chance, I know I was wrong but thanks to you all. Because of all yours support only I m here now"  he said with a puppy face.

" Don't you ever dare to this, see they are just humans learn to defend yourself " She said and he nodded vigorously.

Then atlast convinced everyone with his puppy face and sorries.

THE NEXT DAY,

The first thing Rithu and Lekha did next was to give complaint in their college.

He was just suspended but others got atleast a little bit of fear.

The next days Ayush spent in home as his attendance was closed.

He went college directly to exam, he didn't care about anyone there.

5 Years later...

A man in middle twenties walked to the cabin for his interview it was his 6th company in the year.

He walked into the cabin praying to all god.

"Come in"  A voice sounded as he knocked the glass door.

He entered and saw his interviewer, he looked familiar.

Wait! he he..

The interviewer smirked at him.

After the interview the interviewer gave a positive signal.

He stood up and started to leave, thinking..

"Thank god! He didn't remember me"

"I remember you"  the interviewer stated like he read his mind.

When he turned, the interviewer was smirking at him.

" I remember. I remember you. The one who changed my life"  he laughed devilishly.

"Because of you, its just because of you I am here as CEO of this company. See the fate today you are standing before as my employee. I got good friends Because of you! I got them because you bullied me! Because of you i learnt how to ignore negativity, because of you i learnt how some people are and today i learnt because of that, everyone has their own day"

He felt ashamed, ashamed of himself.

" Thank you for everything. I have  my great friends only  because of you"

"Leave" he shouted.

He thought about his friends, both settled in different places managing their buisness. They start their company with partnership.

Ignore negativity, people will always be judgmental and just try to bring you down dont fall prey to it.
You know who you are, be happy as you are.

Bullies just remember one thing someone is better than you and they can bully you but not everyone are as you are.
