Imagine that you were a good friend of the Jackson family and were best friends with Janet ever since you were 5. Even though you say you were there to visit and play with Janet, you could never keep your eyes off of her brother Michael. All these years, he never caught you once just admiring him. Janet noticed the connection and tried to drop hints to him but he never caught on. You were 17 now, gonna turn 18 in a couple of months. What you didn't know was that Michael had feelings for you too. He was over 18 though so you still weren't legal. That's the only reason why he held back for this time. He decided to suck it up and tell you but every time he did he chickened out and ended up making the conversation about potatoes. This time though, this time would be different. Janet had walked into the kitchen and noticed that Michael was laying his head down on the table. He didn't know how to express his emotions, so he was silent most of the time now.

"You okay Michael?" Janet asked.

"No."

"What's wrong?" She asked sitting next to him eating an ice cream.

He sighed,"Just know that I've caught on to your little hints Janet you are very obvious."

"What are you talking about?" She asked.

"I like her back." He said, blushing under his arms.

She then got the message.

"Aweee, that's so cute!" She said.

"What do I do?" He asked, his head still down.

"Tell her duh." 

He picked his head up only to glare at her. 

"Okay okay to be honest I'm not a guy so I can't help you entirely." she explained.

He put his head back down. 

After that conversation, when you came over he ignored you most of the time when you tried to talk to him. Your feeling didn't change due to his behavior though, you just waited until he replied with a small nod or something. You sat in Janet's room waiting for her to come out of the bathroom and then the door opened. She came out and sat next to you writing on a piece of paper. Probably a song or something. She caught you off guard when she tapped your shoulder and gave the paper to you. You took it and opened it.  

I couldn't risk being hear by any of my brothers so we're gonna write to each other for a second okay?

You nodded. 

I don't wanna spoil this but I just wanted to say that someone admired you in the house. 

Your furrowed your eyebrows.

That's all.

"Okay i guess." You said.

She smiled. Your birthday finally came and the Jackson's wanted to invite you over to their home. You walked through the front door and was greeted by everyone. This immediately put a smile on your face and then Michael walked up to you. He took your hand and brought you to his room. He shut the door behind him.

"Okay I'm not sugarcoating anything I love you and I want you to be mine since you're technically 18 now." He said blushing. 

After all this time you thought he hated you, but to hear this now was a complete shock. You stood still staring straight as he looked at your face.

"Yes I'll be yours." You finally answered.

He had a huge smile on his face and hugged you so tight and spin you around. Who cared about the presents anymore you got your man. ✌
