Well, hello there! It's been a while since I last updated this book, I suppose. This time, we come to the classic scenario in fanfiction – pregnancy. Let's take a look at this (obviously exaggerated) little piece I came up with, shall we?

Hey my name is Shaniqua and OMJ Michael and me did "it" last night and it was sooooo good. I'm not gonna go into detail cos it's private but now I'm feeling a little sick.

My best friend Katie is here and we're talking normally and stuff.

"And then he was like—" All of a sudden I feel something rise into my throat, so I run out the room and up to the bathroom where I throw up violently.

"Oh my god are you okay Shaniqua?? You look really sick!!" Katie cries, holding my hair back.

"No" I answer after finishing throwing up.

Katie then widens her eyes and gasps "Oh my god Shaniqua what if you're pregnant? Have you had your period lately?"

"No I haven't. Oh my god you could be right go get me a test" I shout so she goes and gets one for me to take.

When I take the test it comes up positive so I start to cry and I'm in shock. I can't believe I'm pregnant. I knew something was off since the very first moment I woke up this morning. I mean I haven't had my period and I've got morning sickness and me and Michael had sex last night!!

Okay, okay, I'm gonna leave it there. Don't judge my crazy exaggeration, because I would never write something like that. 😂 But seriously, there's a few things wrong with it.

First of all, we'll see to the little things that are wrong with the extract I created. For a start, why would the best friend just assume that the main protagonist is pregnant if she throws up? I mean, there are plenty of other causes – flu, a sickness bug of some sort, food poisoning, to name a few. Also, what if the girl hasn't even done "it" with Michael yet? It's a very bold assumption to make, isn't it?

Then, we come to to the more obvious element that's all wrong – the timings. Okay, so, being only sixteen, I wouldn't know the precise length of time that it takes for a test to show up as positive after sexual intercourse, but I know that it wouldn't show after one night! I mean, c'mon, that's ridiculous! No test would show that a woman is pregnant after having done "it" only the night before.

And finally – why does the girl have to be so sad about the fact she's pregnant? I mean, that doesn't happen in every story, but I've seen it enough. It's as if finding out she's gonna have a baby is her worst nightmare. But, um ... remember sweetie, unless your story is set in an alternate universe, your boyfriend/partner/husband will be delighted, because he loves children! C'mon; this is Michael Jackson we're talking about. He's as in love with children as us Moonwalkers are in love with him ... just in less of a perverted way. 😂

Basically, my lovelies, if you and Michael (or any other celebrity for that matter) decide to do "it" without protection, then don't say that the girl is pregnant after only one day. Leave it a few weeks, yeah?

Hmm. I believe that's my rant over, now. Remember writers, pregnancy is a beautiful thing (unless it's caused by rape, for example), but just don't spoil it by writing it wrong. That's all! 😊
