Chapter 2: A Thousand Years.

A/N: When you get to a certain point of the story, please listen to this music along with it. :3

The Reception

-Tom's View-

Sparkles was happy, which meant I was happy.

I was so glad that Tucker had found Andor. I was stoked when Tucker had told me he was coming, but I never knew he was bringing some friends. I mean it wasn't bad. Nade and the Modesteps liked Lee's friend Kyra, she was actually pretty cool when I chatted with her. Me and Sparklez had started mingling amongst the guest in the reception hall. Which was a gorgeous set up, in the dimming hours of twilight.

It was outdoors obviously, but the center had a large silver wood tree, Wag's Mage lights had dotted the trees leaves give the whole thing a soft glow. Sonja had grown 6 grape vines that somehow were symmetrical around the tree. Each grape vine wrapped in either a purple or red ribbon. On one side of the tree, me and Steve had set up tables, the table set up was before I was in a dress, Martha had went and covered a table with either a red or purple table cloth, obviously alternating tables. The other side of the tree the Modesteps had set up a pretty cool Stage for entertainment, they modified some jukeboxes to make speakers. And Dec had made a microphone from some communicator parts. Wag some how, probably with Sonja's help, made colored Mage lights and placed them in lanterns, hanging them along the bar that was above the stage. The stage bars were enveloped with billowing white sheets, catching the Mage lights soft glow.

"Did it ever occur to you that when you let Sparklez take over the wedding decor that he would be roped in to having Martha help?" Dec's voice surprised me. He and I didn't talk much, and he wasn't one for party's. He hadn't stayed long for Martha and Steve's reception. He just said hi to a few people and then left, so why was he still here?

"I should've assumed but I was a little busy trying to convince my husband that I needed to wear a dress." It wasn't foreign that I called Sparklez my husband, but it'd take some getting use to. I looked at Dec. He wore a nice tux, a Dianite red rose in the tux pocket, which was all the more confusing since he was Mianite's priest.

"Well what are you all fancied up for in Dianite red?" I laughed.

Dec have a chuckle shaking his head. "Thomas, everyone has their secrets, mine are just a bit more.." He waved his hand, trying to formulate word. "Scandalous." He winked at me and walked off. I looked around and saw Martha standing with Wag, who was talking Tucker and Sonj. I headed that way and huffed as I walked up to them.

"What's Dec's secret?" I asked Martha, who smiled.

"Wait... Dec's got a secret?" Tucker piped up, now reeled in from his conversation with Wag.

"Your Mianite priest, my friends, does indeed have a 'secret', but it's not mine to share." She clasped her hands together and giggled, "Although he was correct about it being a little 'scandalous' but I wouldn't say it's on a wild scale." She mused.

Sonj looked just as confused as me. "I thought Dec couldn't have secrets since he was a priest? Wouldn't his God have like, read his mind by now or something?"

"It's not a secret from his God. I'm sure Mianite knows, and maybe disapproves. But to see his priest Happy, I think Mianite can push that aside."

Wag chuckled. "My dearest, you were always one for nosing your way into others personal lives." Wag mused. "How much cider would it take to get that little secret of Dec's out of your pretty little mouth?" Tucker made a vomit face behind Wag's back, as did Sonja. God they were such kids sometimes.

"Maybe no cider at all, depends on how much you want the secret."

'Did she just smile seductively at him? Gross.' I thought and rolled my eyes. "Come on now! You two make out later, I'm curious and I want to know now."

Martha giggled. "Maybe later dearies. However, Tom aren't you suppose to be with Sparklez?" She informed me.

"Actually I believe it's a fast moving dance to begin with." Wag didn't hesitate in taking Martha toward the dance floor, Sonja pulling a reluctant Tucker behind her.

Sparklez was over by the food table chatting with Andor. I took his hand while he was still engaged in conversation, and pulled him over to the other side where the stage and stuff was set up with the Karaoke equipment I asked nicely for. The Mage lights had a pink color, making the white curtains, hiding some of the bars, glow with a soft magenta pink color. Andor's girlfriend Lee, who looked extremely excited, was close to the stage talking back and forth with such and animated face. I felt Sparklez lay his hands on my waist.

"Earth to Tom?" He laughed.

I shook my head to get rid of my thoughts. "Sorry Sparkly pants, just thinking about something."

He smiled and kissed my cheek. "I love you Tom."

"Love you too, Jordan." We smiled at each other. And turned to look at the stage, the girl Lee identified as her best friend Kyra. She was setting up two microphone stands, chatting lightly to Andor and Lee while finishing the setting up.

'What kind of a name is Kyra?' I thought. I'd never heard the name in my entire life.

"It means Fire, in a very old long forgotten language, however very suiting for being a follower of mine." Dianite's voice was quiet in my ear, but I made no move to jump. I was use to his voice showing up at random times.

'So what, is she like your priest?'

"Close to it but not quite, she's not a champion like you and Mot are either... She's just... Something of her own league I suppose, but I have high respect for her."

The microphone made a high pitch and our attention was drawn that way.

The stage was darker, but that could've been because, the sun had finally set and every few seconds some fireflies would blink their lights. I saw the Mage lights grow brighter the magenta glow almost enveloping the white curtains. Kyra was standing on the stage looking to, I would guess her left side, egging on someone we couldn't see. You could hear the gasp as Declan walked on Stage his hair slicked back and all near looking. The blush on his face couldn't be hidden behind his hair.

"Dec can sing?" Sparklez asked beside me. He was looking at the Kyra girl next to him, a glint of what seemed like playfulness, filled his brown eyes. She leaned over and whispered something into his ear, and he nodded in response.

"Good evening ladies and gentleman, my name is Kyra and I was allowed to attend the beautiful ceremony for Tom and Jordan. Myself and Declan are the first performance for the evening, so I'm sorry for the quality of his voice." She glared at him as he pushed her in a playful manner. "Anyways congrats to you guys, I hope you both have a long and happy marriage."

The modified jukeboxes started playing what sounded like piano notes but with an electronic beat to them, I watched Kyra's mouth open, and song into the microphone.

-(( btw as a side note Declan sounds like Ed Sheeran because head cannon <3 ))- Kyra

"I'm hurting, baby, I'm broken down. I need your loving, loving
I need it now." Kyra sang beautifully, shocking he entire audience.

Declan looked super nervous when he opened his mouth, and followed his duet partner. "When I'm without you, I'm something weak. You got me begging, begging. I'm on my knees, yeah." Dec sang back with a smile.

Holy mother of flying sausages! Since when can Declan sing like that?!

Kyra smiled as well. "I don't wanna be needing your love. I just wanna be deep in your love. And it's killing me when you're away, ooh, baby."

"Cause I really don't care where you are. I just wanna be there where you are, and I gotta get one little taste."

I looked at Sparkles, and he looked at me. We both smiled and danced like morons to the song. It was really was kinda fast but not too fast, maybe a middle beat if that's a thing. It had a great sound to it. But I also kept my eye on the stage, watching Dec and Kyra do their thing. They seemed to be in their own little bubble.

"Your sugar. Yes, please! Won't you come and put it down on me?" They had their arms linked, Dec's crossed over Kyra's, to where Kyra sang in his microphone. And the same with Kyra's. The music seemed to do something to everyone, romanticized everything I suppose.

"Your sugar. Yes, please. Won't you come and put it down on me?" Dec had pulled away from Kyra and with a devilish smile, glided away from his red headed companion. He gestured her over to him, the grin wider than ever.

Sparklez looked at me and whispered in my ear. "You think there's a connection between Kyra and Declan?"

I nodded. "Maybe this is what Martha was hinting towards.."
~
The words they sang were filled with such deep love I thought I might throw up. I pulled Sparklez to me and kissed him senselessly, he was taken aback but melted right in my arms. I was done kissing Sparklez a few moments later and watched what seemed to be the end of the "sugar" filled performance. I was making puns. I'm already acting like Sparklez...damn.

Dec had spun Kyra into a backwards hug, and had his microphone up next to his mouth as they both sang out the last few words. When the music finally died down, the floor exploded into applause. I felt Sparklez pull me away from the crowd and toward the back of the stage.

"Guys! You did amazing!" Sparklez gushed, when Kyra and Dec were coming off the stage.
~
"Don't drink too much...I don't want you being drunk on our wedding night."
Tom chugged the rest of his champaign and let out a large belch. "What's wrong with being drunk? It'll just make later even better..." He gave me a sloppy kiss on the neck and I rolled my eyes.

"I want you to remember this. You won't remember any of it if you get drunk off your mind. Although you do make a valid point." I laughed.

We stared out at the night sky for awhile longer. I had walked away for some fresh air and Tom had followed, making sure I was okay and everything was fine. I told I just needed a bit of space. There were a lot of people on the dance floor, so it was suffocating to stay out there for a long time. And plus I was starting to feel like I was missing something. The party was cool and everyone was having a good time, but I felt like it needed something.

"This receptions okay and all, but I feel like we haven't done something we needed to..." We already cut the cake, listened to some karaoke, talked to most of the guest that were here.

"We haven't slow danced yet..." He mumbled.

Slow dance! I completely forgot about the first dance! I was so wrapped up in the affair between Dec and Kyra that I forgot about it.

"I forgot! I'm so sorry! Let's go and do that. Uh, what kind of song should we dance to?" I felt bad for forgetting. He must have been waiting to do this all night and I didn't even think about it.

"You go on out to the dance floor and I'll tell DJ Tucker what song to play. Go on, shoo." He shoved me back towards the area where the reception was, and I reluctantly walked back alone. He was hiding something I knew. He probably picked the song out ahead of time because he knew I had sucky taste in music.

Sonja waved at me from the dance floor with glazed eyes and a loopy smile. She was drunk, most definitely. I'd never seen Sonja drunk in my entire life. I didn't even know she did drink. "Sparklezzzz! Whatcha doin?" She hiccuped at least three times during that whole sentence.

"About to have my first dance with my new husband. Did he tell you anything about the music he was going to play?" Maybe I could pry it out of her while she was drunk.

She only laughed lazily and put a manicured finger to her lips. "Shhh! Secret!" She whispered with a knowing smile on her red lips.
A/N: Turn on the song now :D
And then I heard it. A wave of silence fell over the crowd as the song began to play. Soft piano music filled the air. I could see the smiles in my direction. I could see the light blue hair and the set of creamy brown eyes through the smiles. He took my hand and guided me out into a large space on the floor. The crowd made a large circle around us, and suddenly I felt nervous. If I fell and they saw me, I'd never hear the end of it. He interrupted my thought when I felt his hand go underneath my chin, tilting my eyes up to meet his. "Don't worry about them. This is our moment."
His hand left my chin and went to my waist. I nervously wrapped my hands around his neck and tried to see which foot I needed to move first.

The day we met, frozen I held my breath.

I recognized the song. The day I caught Tom singing in the bathroom by himself. He was singing this.

Right from the start, I knew that I'd found a home for my heart.

"You like?" He asked in a smooth voice, which made my heart melt even more.

"Sing it. Sing it again like you did that day." I wanted to hear and feel the soft sadness he seemed to radiate when he had sung it before.

"I have died everyday waiting for you. Darling don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more."

Oh my god. If Mianite had struck me down at that moment, I would have died a happy man.

"All along I believed time would find you. Time has brought your heart to me, I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more."

The lyrics faded out and sweet violins and soft pianos played in turn. For a moment I just stared at him and adored everything. His eyes, his dimples, his shy smile. When the lyrics returned, we were only centimeters apart. My forehead touched his and his lips occasionally brushed across mine due to the movement of our feet. He didn't kiss me yet though. He was waiting.

"I have loved you for a thousand years. I'll love you for a thousand more." Our lips finally connected as he finished the last syllable.

Everything droned out. The music, the crowd, our dancing. I wanted nothing more than to kiss him and be with him and never leave his side.

We pulled away, and I heard applause. But over that applause, I heard him whispered in my ear. "That songs a lie you know."

My heart fell. What did he mean it was a lie? Was he trying to say he wouldn't love me that-

"I'll love you forever. Not just a couple thousand years."
~
"Get on the bed. Now." Tom ordered as soon as he shut the door of his tree. I laughed at his sudden mood swing. He went from shy and cute to horny in three seconds flat. We both hurried to his bedroom and slammed the door shut as we went past it. I hopped onto the bed and laid back on his soft red sheets. He smiled devilishly and crawled on top of me, his lips making their way to mine. I couldn't wait for this. We'd been so busy with the wedding and the decorations and the plans and the cards that we never had time to connect. We hadn't frick fracked in a solid three months. I missed him so much during those. His lips invaded my thoughts as they trailed lower onto my bare shoulders. When had he took my shirt off? Oh well. I didn't care. I closed my eyes and sunk into the moment with ecstasy flooding every inch of my body. I wondered how long we would go this-

Loud knocking on the trees door interrupted my thoughts and we both jumped from the sudden noise. Tom groaned and began to sit up from his spot on top of me. He slid off the bed and pulled his shirt back on so he could open the door. I followed, curious to see who it was this late at night. We headed to the front door and Tom began grumbling to himself.

"Who the hell would knock so late at-" He opened the door, and the people standing in front of us answered our questions.

"TOMMY!" Tiff screamed and tackled the shocked Tom, causing them both to fall to the floor.

Lola waved shyly from the outside, her cheeks red from embarrassment. "I'm sorry. I told her this wasn't a good idea. Especially this late. But she insisted..."

I laughed at the situation. "What are you guys doing here? How did you find us?"

"Well the gossipers heard a certain rumor that a wedding between two guys was going to be happening in Dagrun. And I thought, what other gays would be getting married there? I told Tiff and uh...she forced me to come here right away when I told her. Sorry we missed the wedding. I heard it was really beautiful from the other people we met." She had her hands behind her back, like she was hiding something. But she wouldn't dare let me see it. She moved everytime I tried to glance behind her.

"It's okay. Im glad you guys came here anyway. So uh...whatcha got there?" I pointed behind her.

She turned sheepish immediately. "Um...me and Tiff...well...we adopted." She finally pulled what was behind her back to show me. A baby carrier, with a small sleeping child inside.

They had a baby.

"You...you have a kid?" I stared at the small baby. It was beautiful. It had brown hair with small freckles covering its chubby cheeks.

"This mother at the market was paying a man to kill him because she didn't want him and no one would buy him...and I just thought it was so horrible. I knew we didn't really have the money to raise a baby but...I couldn't help but take him. I gave her a couple gold nuggets and she gave him to me...I'm so glad I was there. They would've killed him for sure..." She stared at the baby with sad eyes.

"You're crushing me T, please for the love of god get off my lungs!" I heard Tom choke out from beneath Tiffs grip.

"Sorry Tommy, I just missed ya! Have you seen my baby yet? He's such a cutie!" She hopped off of Tom, making him sigh in relief. Tiff ran to the baby carrier and pulled out the now fully wide awake child. He cried a bit, but stopped immediately when he saw Tiff. She began to talk to him in a small baby voice, and he giggled and squealed. She was really good with kids.

"Cute baby, weird ass mum." He shook his head and smiled. Tiff sent him a glare, then continued to cuddle the small child.

"Weird indeed, but a good one nonetheless. I can't do anything with him. She's like a baby whisperer." Lola sat the empty carrier on our kitchen table.

"Because Lola panics everytime he even blinks, which makes a kid dislike you. Nicky likes me because I'm the fun mom!" Tiff kissed the little ones forehead, making him giggle.

"I don't panic...I just fear that he's gonna get hurt. That's all. He'd be covered in his own poop if it weren't for me, the diaper changing champion."

They bickered awhile longer on who was the best mother. I looked over to Tom who was now wearing a slightly depressed face. He stared at the baby with a sad look in his brown eyes.

"You okay?" I asked him, latching onto his hand.

"Just thinking. That's all. Come on, let's go break up battle of the mums." He plastered a fake smile on his face and walked over to the arguing Tiff and Lola.

But I knew Tom. I knew him more than he knew himself. He wanted a child like them.

And I wanted one too.
~~~~~
I know I ripped off Twilight BUT JUST LET ME HAVE MY MOMENT OKAY?! I couldn't not imagine these nerds dancing to this song and Tom, who has the voice of a young John Legend, singing along with it. This is my favorite song in the whole world and I just thought it would go perfect with this chapter.
Also, IM SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO UPDATE BUT GOD THIS CHAPTER HAS BEEN EDITED OVER SIXTY TIMES AND I WAS GETTING SO FRUSTRATED SO I JUST QUIT FOR AWHILE. I knew you guys didn't want to read sixty pages of song lyrics, so I just put bits and pieces of lyrics into it. I know I never liked when authors inserted music lyrics and I had to read through a whole song I already knew xD
And I know you guys really wanted the wedding night in juicy detail...BUT COME ON, TIFF AND LOLA HAD TO BE IN HERE SOMEWHERE XDDD Yeah I'm never writing a dirty chapter. I'm too innocent.
I'm not too sure if I'll start the schedule now or later...I've been really busy with my family and friends so it's hard to write up chapters like used to. Just hold on a little longer frands! Bear with me and my distractions xD
I hope you guys enjoyed this beautiful reception, co written by my wonderful co-writer Kyra! If you guys did enjoy, please leave a favorite or a comment telling me nice things about it :3
Goodbye now!
- Lee
