Chapter 77: The Lu Lu Bar
Jordan's p.o.v.
I jolted awake, my body sweaty and my heart racing. My mind was only focused on a single thought: Tom.
He still wasn't back yet. For some reason, I couldn't really sleep without him. I guess from the amount of times we've slept together I've gotten used to being with him while I'm sleeping. That must be why I woke up. I missed his presence.
I stared at the ceiling of the room for awhile, contemplating what I should do. I need air. This room is so hot. Apparently the merchants haven't figured out air conditioning yet.
I yanked off the covers and moved slowly to the balcony doors. When I opened them, I felt a million times better. The night air was a blessing compared to the suffocating heat of my room. I walked to the railings of the small area and looked out over the city of Urulu. It was beautiful. It was so calm and quiet, nothing like it was in the day time. The city was asleep.
Although the quietness and soothing calmness from the city was quite refreshing, I still felt like I needed something.
I needed a drink. Maybe I should go down to that tavern and see what Tom and Steve are up to.
I threw on some more appropriate clothes for a night club and put my shades back on my eyes. I laced up my converse and grabbed my small bag containing my money and left.
I reached the tavern in minutes. The place was still alive with music and lights, even more so than it had been earlier. I pushed on the door to the place, and I was greeted with loud music and laughing and flashing lights. Men and women of all ages stood around or sat at tables and stools. I hear hoots and hollers of men towards the front of the place, where the main stage was. Women danced on a stage with little to no clothing at all, making my face red with blush.
I'm starting to remember why I hate clubs.
People shoved passed me as I tried to make my way towards the back, where a sign said the bar was. It was really hard to see in here with my glasses on, so I couldn't really see much of what was in front of me. I was gonna take them off, when I accidentally ran into a woman carrying a small tray of several drinks. She gasped as the drinks fell on her shirt, staining it with their yellow color.
"God dangit...I just got this." She made a face at her shortly cropped shirt that only covered the top of her torso. I felt guilt spread across me. I didn't mean to ruin her shirt.
"I'm so sorry, I have no clue where I'm going. I can pay for it if you want?" I removed my shades, and saw what the woman looked like.
She had dark fiery red hair that flowed over her shoulders. Her eyes were a pale blue color and she wore a dark black eye liner underneath them. Her shirt that I had accidentally ruined had been white with silver sequins spelling out 'Lu Lu Bar'. She wore black shorts and knee socks with some white converse.
"No, it's cool. It only cost a couple of gold nuggets anyway. I'm Lola." She held out a hand, and I hesitantly shook it. I wasn't great with meeting new people.
"I'm uh...Jordan." I feel like if I told her my real name she wouldn't take me seriously at all.
"You seemed a bit unsure of that. You lying to me?" She raised an eye brow and crossed her arms over her chest.
"No! I just- my real name- it isn't-"
"Chill, I'm kidding. You really are clueless, aren't you? You don't seem like the type of guy to be in a bar like this. You looking for someone?" She seemed like an okay person...I guess I could ask her where they are.
"Actually, I'm looking for my boyfr- I mean uh...my-my friends Tom and Steve." I don't want to tell everyone I meet that I'm gay.
"You're boyfriend and your friend, you mean? Hey, I'm not judgey. I work at a strip club for gods sake. I've seen it all. Do you know where they went off to? I could help you find them."
She could read me like a card.
"Uh, the bar? But I'm not sure where it is exactly. This place is big."
"Well, the bar is-"
"Ooooo Lola! Who is this fine piece of meat?!" I heard a girl say behind Lola. Lola seemed to know who she was, because she rolled her eyes when she heard the voice.
"Tiff, nows not the time. He's a customer, not a sandwich."
A girl appeared beside Lola, and her bright green eyes immediately went to me.
"Oh come on, look how cute he is! Are you single babe? I could just eat you up!" She squealed.
"U-uh..." The blush on my face and neck was extremely red.
She was a little...different from Lola. Okay, so she was extremely different from Lola. Her hair was wavy and dark black with a cat ears head band placed in the middle of it, and her skin was far more tan than Lola's. She wore a really revealing outfit. A short green bikini top and some faded cut off shorts that had her underwear sticking out at the top of them. Underneath the shorts she wore fish net tights and black leather boots. I noticed she had a belly button ring and a fake cat tail attached to her shorts, which I'd never seen anyone wear before in my life.
"He's taken, and you are too. Would you stop scaring him?" Lola nudged her in the side.
"Awwww...I really thought he was adorable though! It's not fair! All the good ones are taken. And if he's taken, why are you talking to him hmm?" She teased the red headed girl, and she responded with a scoff.
"You're ridiculous. Go flirt with the drunks, I'm sure they'll enjoy your company better." She shoved Tiff in the other direction.
"Fine..." She turned to me and winked. "Call me if you decide to break it!" She ran off in the direction Lola had pushed her.
"I'm sorry...she's such a weirdo. I'll show you where the bar is. Follow me." She waved me toward her, and I followed after with my face still a dark color.
As we pushed past the mass of bodies that crowded the floor, I began to wonder about who Tiff was to Lola.
When we finally got into a clearing I decided to ask Lola.
"So, was she your best friend or something?" I yelled over the music.
"Er, no. She's my girlfriend."
Wait. What. What?
"She's...but...what?" I was so confused. Wasn't Tiff just flirting with me a minute ago?
Lola laughed at my reaction.
"Yeah, I know it's a bit odd. She likes to flirt so she can make me jealous, and she gets frustrated when it doesn't work. We both work as waitresses, not strippers. You might have gotten confused over her weird personality."
"Girls...girls can date eachother?" My mind was still trying to process the information.
"Just because you can date the same gender doesn't mean I can't?" Her tone sounded angry. Oh no. I didn't mean to say it like that.
"No! Sorry...that sounded sexist. I just...I didn't think anyone else did that. Or at least I haven't met anyone else who was like me...I'm sorry."
"It's fine. I know that feeling. Well, the bars over there if you want-...oh my god." Her eyes went to something behind me, and I turned to see what she was so scared of.
Toms face was mere inches from me, his lips so close to mine I could practically smell the alcohol on his breath.
"Oh my god! It's a fleshy! How did it even get in here?! Oh my god!" Lola begins to panick. She looks around frantically for help, but I stop her.
"This isn't a 'fleshy', it's my boyfriend. And he's extremely drunk, no doubt." I narrowed my eyes at him, and he giggled.
"Hiiii Sparklez! I missed you!" He pressed his lips to mine, and I tasted the beer on his lips. I groaned and pushed him back.
"You taste terrible. Brush your teeth before you ever kiss me again..." I gagged at the taste.
Toms eyes went over to Lola, who had went from full panic to very confused.
"Who's the woman? And whys she with you?" His tone was threatening.
"I-I don't understand...is he wearing a mask? A costume? It's so real looking..." She stepped back from Tom, who was still giving her a funny look.
"Tom, this is Lola. She helped me find you. Lola this is Tom, he's a zombie but he's not contagious. He's about as harmless as a puppy..."
Tom giggled at my mention of a puppy and tried to kiss me again, but I pushed him back.
"Oh...I guess I was wrong. I really haven't seen it all until now..." She stared at Toms face with fascination.
"Tom, where's Steve? He was supposed to be watching you." I looked around the bar for Steve, but the farmer was no where in sight.
"Dunno. Kiss me Sparklez." He leaned in again, and I put my hand on his face.
"No. Stop. You smelly bad," I laughed and shoved his face away.
He made a whining noise and burped, to which Lola laughed at. "He's really similar to Tiff when she's drunk."
Tom hiccuped and nudged me. "Psssst, who's diff?"
"It's her girlfriend Tom. Tiffs her girlfriend. I'm gonna ask you again, where's Steve? Did he go off somewhere else? We can't leave without him."
Tom was about to speak, when the farmer popped up right beside him. "Ay Sparkley britches, whatcha doin here?" Steve didn't seem that drunk, not as much as Tom anyway.
"I came to find you guys. Come on, I think it's time for you to go. You've had way too much to drink."
"Nah, I think I'm gonna stay. You should stay too Sparklez! We can have a party!" Tom let out a drunk whoop and ran into the crowd of people in the center of the place. Great. Now I'd never find him.
"I think I'll stay too me boy, I ain't had this much fun since me honeymoon!" Steve went into the crowd too, and I sighed in despair. So much for bringing them back.
"You have some very interesting friends, Sparklez is it?" She grinned at my nick name.
"I do. I shouldnt have let them come in here." I shook my head.
Lola's cell phone rang, and she pulled it out of her shorts pocket and pressed a button.
"Hello?" Her smile faded, and her face turned into one of worry.
"I'll be right there, don't panic. It'll be okay." She hung up the phone and looked to me.
"You're strong, aren't you?" She asked me quickly.
"Uh yeah but why-"
"Don't ask questions, follow me." She grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the crowd of people.
I couldn't see where she was leading me, because all I could see was sweaty bodies and the large mass of people.
She finally pulled me into a small clearing, and I saw what was so urgent.
A man, about twice the height of me, was forcing Tiff to sit in his lap. He was sitting at a long table with a bunch of other drunks who were just laughing at the scene. The man was shamelessly groping Tiff and grinning at her kicking and punching, and Tiff was crying wrestling to get out of his grip.
"Let go of me, you pervert!" Tiff screamed, tears rolling down her cheeks.
"But yer so pretty, don't want ye to go so soon! Just stay fer a little while wit me doll face!" He laughed and the other men laughed with him.
I wanted to kill him. Never had I felt so much hate for a human being in all my life.
"Get your hands off of her." I said in a dark tone. The man looked up from Tiff and stared at me with his scarred eye, sending chills down my spine.
"Who's gonna make me, twerp?" He smirked, and I saw his rotted teeth.
"Me. Let go of her." I clenched my fist and readied myself for a fight.
"Alright then, lets go ye little bastard." He let go of Tiff, and she ran to Lola and sobbed into her arms.
"Lola, get out of here." I didn't want either if them to witness me getting my ass kicked.
"Jordan, he'll kill you!" She whispered with worried eyes.
"It's okay. Just go."
Lola nodded solemnly and guided Tiff away from the clearing.
Tiff was safe. That's all I had wanted.
The man stood from his table and stalked up to me, hovering over my head like a statue. I gulped. He was gonna kill me.
"I'll go first, this'll be fun." He raised a fist and brought it down to my nose, and I heard a sickening crack as it did. I gritted my teeth in pain and held my throbbing broken nose. I've lost count on how many times I've broken my nose this year. I couldn't fall, he'd win and I didn't want him too this soon. I've faced bigger things than him! I've faced the ender dragon, and the wiether, and tons of thousand of mobs!
Somehow though, I didn't feel as strong as I had then. I had no armor or weapons. I was weak.
But I could at least bruise him up a little before he killed me.
I wiped the blood pouring from my nose, and charged at the mans legs. He fell to the floor with a thud. I'd hit a blow to his head. That was good.
I didn't expect him to be so fast getting up though. So when he did, I wasn't at all prepared.
He grabbed me by the neck and raised me all the way up to his eyes. "Yer dead, ye little ass hat." His fist collided with my eye, then my nose again, then my jaw.
I was dead.
But at least Tiff was safe, and Lola had her again.
I heard the drunk men's laughs as he punched me over and over again. They didn't care about him killing me. I was going to die in this stupid club.
"WHAT IN THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?!" I heard a possessed yell over the laughs and the music.
Tom. Thank god.
The hand around my throat let go and I fell to the floor. I didn't want to get up. Everything hurt.
I felt someone lift me up and drag me away from the figure towering over me.
"I can't believe I left you alone for a second...I'm such a dumb bimbo." I heard a girl murmur. Lola.
Lola had dragged me away. I thought she left with Tiff?
"W-where's T-Tiff?" I said in a hoarse voice. My throat felt like it had been pinched together.
"She's okay. You just worry about yourself right now, you idiot."
I heard shouting and things hitting the floor. I opened my eyes.
I saw a brawl of bodies and fists and legs, all fighting eachother. My brain thought it was funny, and I laughed.
"Why are you laughing?" I heard Lola ask me.
"Dunno." I closed my eyes again and leaned back into the softness my head was laying on.
I heard enraged screaming and shouts of anger. I didn't care. I wanted to sleep.
I just wanted to sleep.

TWO UPDATES IN ONE DAY?! WHAAAAAT?!
Lol, I've actually had a productive weekend and I thought Id post two chapters in one day! Yay!
I hope you guys didn't mind me adding made up characters, but I really thought Sparklez and Tom needed some sort of friends to turn to when they sought out advice about their relationship. And what better way to do that than add more characters?!! XD I won't be including them much in the future, so they won't be too much of a change to the chapters. I really enjoyed writing them up though <3
Guys. I have some sad news. By next week, this book will be finished and ended.
IM SORRY.
I will start the sequel really soon, probably a week or two after this one ends. In the meantime of that, I've written a one shot book filled with all kinds of ships that are popular in Mianite. Hopefully that will keep you wonderful lovelies entertained while I work on the next book <3
I've got so much planned for the summer when I actually have time to write -.- I start test exams and junk this week at school and I won't have much time to write then, but I'm probably gonna post the first one shot story in my new book sometime this week. That cool witchu guys???
I'm excited! I hope you guys enjoy my upcoming plans and the new book coming out! Leave a favorite or a comment if you enjoyed this chapter, thanks!
