Chapter 21: Free The Chickens!
"You look like your pants are made of cardboard."
"Shut up! I'm trying!"
Toms been trying to help me walk again. I'd been in a bed for 3 weeks and my legs felt completely numb and useless.
I was trying to walk to the tree without falling on my face. So far I was doing pretty good, but Tom keeps laughing at me and it's making me mad.
I finally reached the tree and immediately sat down and groaned.
"Awesome! Now try doing it without walking like a duck," Tom laughed.
"I'd like to see you try and walk after being in a bed for 3 weeks," I grumbled.
"Aw don't be so serious Sparklez, I'm just kidding. You did well!"
He pulled me up and sat me back in my wheel chair. It was actually a pretty cool looking chair. Before anyone had shown it to me, Tom and the others pimped it out for me. It had really fluffy pillows on the seat, and the wheels had spikes (which I think was Toms idea.), it was covered in this really cool purple and green looking paint and the handles were solid iron. It was a really cool wheel chair, and it made me feel way less weird about it.
I remember how bummed I was when Dec told me I probably had to use one for awhile. It was kind of depressing to think I wasn't gonna be able to do anything but sit around at home all day. I guess that's why they did that. I had such great friends.
I heard Toms communicator beep loudly as he helped me into the chair.
He raised it up and pressed a button.
"What do you want?" He asked grumpily.
"Wow that's no way to talk to somebody whose gonna save your guys butts."
"What do our butts need saving from? I see no danger," Tom replied while looking around suspiciously.
"Me and Sonja are going undercover. Were gonna try to trick Al into telling us a location. If you maybe wanna stay close by and listen in, that'd be great. Wags coming over too."
"Alrighty I'll ask Sparkley pants. You wanna go?" He asked turning to me.
"I guess so, I wanna see if this is gonna work or fail miserably."
"Okay then! Prepare yo tits for the ride of a life time!" He began to push forward on the chair and started running.
"Don't go too fast! I don't wanna die again!" I shouted as he pushed me past Wags house.
"MLG!!!" He screamed as we went down a hill.
"TOM NO!"
~
We arrived at Tucker's house and we could see Wag waving us towards the back of his house.
"Hey Wag! Have they started the trickery yet?"
"No not yet. He hasn't arrived yet, and thank the gods too. We could hear you two screaming from miles away. What were you doing to cause so much noise?"
"He pushed me down a hill and thought it was totally fine and I would be perfectly okay with it," I said with an annoyed tone.
"Hey! Your perfectly fine now! I don't see why your so upset about it."
"Both of you shush! He's here!" Wag pointed at Lieutenant Al as he walked up to Tucker's door and knocked.
Tucker opened it and smiled.
"Hey man! Glad you could come! Come in! Sonja's got some drinks made for us."
"Drinks eh? I guess I could drink just a little, but not as much as to cause me to be intoxicated. That would be very unlawful on duty."
"Of course man! Whatever you want!"
I could tell Tucker was trying to be as Mianite as he could be so Al wouldn't suspect anything. He was doing a pretty great job.
"So how are we gonna listen to them if they're inside?" I asked whispering.
"Sonja's set up some wires and they trace back to our communicators. We can listen to them from there."
After half an hour of listening to them talk about a bunch of boring stuff, I could see Tom pacing and getting antsy. He hated waiting on anything.
"Penny for your thoughts?" I asked curious.
"This is boring. Can't we do something while we wait?"
"What do you suggest we do?" Wag chipped in.
"I don't know! Anything besides sitting here and getting old."
I saw him look over in Tucker's yard and stare at a pen full of chickens.
He smiled at me mischievously.
I sighed. "Will we get caught?" I didn't even want to ask what he was thinking.
"Not if we do it correctly! Do you think you can walk just a little?"
"I guess...what are you gonna make us do?"
"FREE THE CHICKENS!" He yelled.
Wag shushed him, "Stop yelling!"
"My bad sorry. Follow my lead!"
He morphed into a chicken and began to walk inside Tucker's compound.
"Tom this seems risky..." I called after him.
"I promise we won't get caught, and if we do, were just chickens anyway!" He laughed.
"Fine..." I morphed into a chicken and tried to stand.
I could walk, but it wasn't very good. I still waddled like a duck. I began to walk slowly towards Tom into the yard.
"I guess I'll join you. I see no harm in this plan." Wag morphed into a chicken and ran to Tom and I.
"Okay, follow my lead! Again!"
~
"Wow. I can't believe we did this," I said while staring at the new structure.
"We'll believe it! Cause we just freed the chickens!!!"
Tom had broken into the chicken pen in Tucker's yard and stole the chickens. I would have protested, but I honestly was starving for adventure so I just went along and stole some too. Wag did as well, which surprised me since I always thought of him as a mianite kind of guy.
We had stolen the chickens from Tucker's yard and we had build an entirely new pen behind his house and placed them in there.
I couldn't take it. The stupidity of this was too strong. I began laughing hysterically at the deed we had just done.
Tom began laughing too and soon Wag joined in.
"Did-did anyone even listen to see what happened to them?" Wag asked while gasping for breath.
"Nope!" Tom laughed.
"We literally just risked our lives and reputation in there, just to have you guys steal chickens from my own yard?!" I heard Tucker exclaim angrily.
We turned to see Tucker standing in front of us with his arms crossed and an angry expression on his face.
"Uh no?" Tom replied trying to hide his smile.
"Well then...if I can't have them...NO ONE WILL!"
I saw him shoot out a bomb from his weapon and it landed in the chicken coop.
"NOOOOOOO! THE HUMANITY!" Tom cried as the smell of burnt chicken filled the air.
Me and Wag laughed until we couldn't breathe as Tom tried to salvage the burning chicken pen.
Sonja walked up to Tucker and made a questioning face.
"What in the world did you blow up?" she asked.
"THE PRECIOUS CHICKEN CHILDREN!" Tom yelled.
"Your such a drama queen." Tucker replied with a smile on his face.
~
Tucker and Sonja had gotten some pretty good information on where Andor was. It was some prison called the inertia. We told Steve about it when we got home and he seemed to act like he knew about it.
"I'll be going there right away!" He had said as he began packing up his stuff.
Tom tried to talk him out of going till the morning, but he refused.
"The quicker we get Andor, the quicker we over throw the king!" He exclaimed as he walked out the door.
Tom tried one last time to get him to stay. I watched out of the tree house window as Tom made gestures towards Steve and made a pleading face.
Steve waved off Tom and put on his angel ring to take off.
I watched Tom sigh in defeat and wave to Steve a farewell.
Steve took off towards the ocean and didn't look back. Tom continued to stare in direction of where he left, even when he was longer visible. I could tell he was really worried about him.
I wheeled my self outside next to Tom.
"What if something happens to him?" I heard Tom ask quietly.
"I'm sure he'll be fine. He's really tough Tom. No ones gonna mess with him."
"I sure hope so..." He replied sadly.
I couldn't exactly hug him, so I just awkwardly patted his back.
He laughed at my awkwardness and began to wheel me back inside.
"I seriously don't know what'd I'd do without you Sparkley pants."
I laughed.
If only he knew.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sorry for the late upload! I feel asleep after the stream and woke up 2 hours later, oops.
I really don't want Jordan to rid the taint because it is Ianite after all and she's trying her hardest to seek revenge on the town. Then again, he is going to have a pretty sweet weapon to kill Al with later on. THE DECISIONS.
But anyway guys! Hope you enjoyed the chapter, leave a favorite if you did! Thanks!
