Mia's POV
     As I leaped from branch to branch, I kept a chant in my mind. I am a bright red, oversized squirrel. These trees are my home and food source, and I am using them to return safely to my friends on the far side of this clearing. Glancing to my left I saw Lukai staring at me. I am a squirrel, I am a squirrel, I am a squirrel, TURN BACK TO FACE YOUR OPPONENT!!! He quickly swung his head back to see the other wolf running at him. I watched in horror as the wolf neared Lukai, losing my concentration.
A large gap in the branches loomed ahead and I jumped right into it. With a quiet yip of surprise I tumbled through the air and hit a smooth grey stone, the impact with the hard surface smashing the breath from my lungs. Wheezing, I stood and shook out my fur. I have to keep going, they may have heard me fall! I hurried on, spurred by the knowledge that there were two groups against me. The trees began to grow more dense and clumped tightly around me, stray branches reaching to slow me down.
A growl erupted from my left and a large creature exploded out from the brush. Not turning to look, I darted forward and dove into some dense brambles. The thorns tugged at my coat as I desperately wrenched myself free and continued running, hoping I had bought some time. The creature snarled as it crashed through the brambles after me. The metallic scent of blood soon reached my nostrils, I assume belonging to my new pursuer.
Weaving my way back and forth through the tall pines, I heard the creature give a grunt before thundering after me, free of the brambles and enraged. Fresh panic crashed into me as I tripped over a rock that had been hidden in the needles littering the ground. Skidding across the ground, I felt my right front paw snap. Shoot shoot shoot! Rhuan this hurts! M-my ankle... I think it's broken! I attempted to stand, letting out a hiss of pain as my leg gave out.
     Just then, the creature reached me. My eyes widened as they gazed at glossy white fur, now speckled with drops of scarlet red. "B-Bo?!"
