Lilith's head throbbed in pain as she slowly sat up on the dingy, old cot mattress. As she sat up and started to look around at her surroundings, she heard the sound of a baritone chuckle coming from the front of the rusted cell door. Gently, she looked up to see the three men from earlier at the park, staring at her while the largest and who she guessed was the leader of the group, still chuckling at her.
She easily, pushed herself up and off the mattress and walked a short trek to the cell door and stopped, and wrapped her hands around the bars of the door and asked no one in particular. "Who are you people?"
The leader of the group walked a bit closer to her and replied nonchalantly. "I am Vincent Gambino, the boss of the Gambino crime family, these other two idiots with me are Brent and Gio who both work for me."
When Lilith heard Vincent say that he was a crime boss, she got a bit confused. As she didn't even think that mafia groups even existed in the hills
of Tennessee. But considering that there were three of them standing before her cell, she knew now that had been wrong.
As the men still stood there in the basement, watching her every movement. Lilith figured it would be as good of a time as any to try and find out what they wanted. "Can I at least ask why you have me locked in this stupid cell?"
Vincent pulled a cigarette out of his jacket pocket, along with his zippo lighter and placed the cigarette into his mouth and lit it and inhaled and released out a large puff of smoke and replied as he placed his lighter back into his pocket. "It's merely a precaution, little one. For both my sake and yours."
Lilith knew that she wasn't going to get anywhere with this man and his idiots, knowing that she was more than likely going to be stuck in this cell for a while. Lilith anxiously paced back and forth in her cell a few times and then stopped and tried to plead for herself. "Look, I can promise you that I will be good. I promise you that I will not run away or try to tell anyone about what I had seen this morning in the forest. Now can you please let me out of here?!"
Vincent shook his dark head in an unapproving manner and then replied. "No. You are going to stay here until I finally decide on what to do with you. So, you better get comfortable in there."
Lilith let out an aggravated sigh and walked over to the dirty cot and sat down on it as she stared at the know it all smirk that Vincent had on his face. She could feel the rage that she had within her bubbling deep inside of her and wanted so bad to get out of the cell that she was in and smack that smug look right off his face.
She giggled at that thought and then heard as Vincent asked in a no-nonsense tone as he crossed his arms across his chest. "What are you laughing about?"
"Nothing. It's nothing at all. Don't worry about it!" Lilith said as she continued to laugh about what she thought about doing to Vincent.
As she continued to laugh at him for a few more minutes, she could tell that this was starting to piss off Vincent even more. His face was starting to turn a slight shade of red and he began tapping his foot on the basement's concrete floor. Lilith could tell that Vincent was not enjoying being laughed at by her and it was then that Lilith decided to stop.
With Lilith now quite and giving Vincent her full and undivided attention. Vincent looked at Lilith, took a long drag off his cigarette and then said sternly. "Now that I have your attention. Here are the rules that you're going to abide by with no ifs, ands or buts. Rule number 1: No talking when I'm talking. Rule number 2: I will not take any back talking from you. If you try to do so, you will be punished in a way of my choosing. Rule number 3: When I tell you to do something, you will do it. And finally, rule number 4: All of your meals are going to be served to you in your cell every night at precisely six pm. And you are expected to finish all the food on your plate."
Once Vincent was finished giving out his list of rules for her to follow by, Lilith stared at him like he was the stupidest person that she had ever met in her entire life. First, he had her kidnapped by two of his stupid goons. Then he had her locked up inside this disgusting ass cell. And now he expected her to follow and obey his rules like he was some kind of god?
'Fuck that.' Lilith thought and roughly shook her head and then looked up to Vincent and said angerly. "How dare you try and give me rules when you were the one who had me kidnapped and now held hostage here. You're a fucking bastard, you know that!"
Vincent smirked a bit at the sight of Lilith's rage and shrugged his shoulders at her comment and then threw his finished cigarette on the ground and snuffed it out with his shoe and then looked back over to where Lilith was and replied. "I might be a fucking bastard but at least I'm not the one who was stupid enough to get herself kidnapped and locked in a basement cell."
Lilith huffed in annoyance at his comment and then stood up from the cot and went back over to the cell door and grasped her hands around the bars and said. "So, I stupid because I got kidnapped by two men who are easily twice my size. That's rich coming from the same man who was stupid enough to kill someone in a pubic park. You must be dying for the cops to notice you."
Lilith waited on Vincent to reply back with some kind of snappy comeback, but instead all she received back was him angrily yelling at her. "ENOUGH! I'm getting tired of listening to your stupid retorts. You are my prisoner, and this is your new home until I finally decide on what to do with you once and for fucking all! Do you understand me?!"
Lilith nodded her head at him in response and then listened as he let out a gruff rumbling in his throat and turned with Brent and Gio and started to walk up the stairs. He hoped that she had nothing else to him, however, that bit of hope was dashed when he heard her say. "You know you could have at least offered me and aspirin or something after your two idiots decided to give me a headache."
Vincent quietly turned around on his position on the stairs and stared at her angrily for several seconds, he thought about telling her to shut the fuck up but changed his mind and decided to say nothing wanting to avoid anymore confrontation with the petite sized brunette. And then turned back around on the stairs and walked up the rest of the steps followed closely by Brent and Gio and opened the basement door and went upstairs, leaving Lilith alone in the dark, damp basement cell.
