After her run through the forest, Lilith made it back to her car and got inside and started it up, not noticing that she had left her wallet behind. Quickly, she drove off back to her house speeding down the road, not stopping for anyone or anything. Her heavy breathing being the only noise that she heard as her heart beat rapidly inside her chest.
She knew that she was having a panic attack, and she knew that she needed to slow down before she crashed her car and either injured or killed herself or someone else on the road. But deep down inside her she knew that she could not do that as she was afraid that if she stopped then whoever those men were that were hunting for her would find her and kill her.
When she finally made it back to her neighborhood, she quickly parked in her normal parking spot and turned off her car and removed the key and jumped out of her car and ran up her steps and unlocked her front door and went inside, slamming and locking it behind her.
As soon as the front door was closed and locked, it was then that the quietness of her house caused reality to hit her square in the face. Lilith felt as all her energy drained from her body and slumped down her front door to the floor and brought her knees up her chest and placed her head on top of them and cried.
She could still see the image of the young man's face when the large man had shot him in the head and killed him. Her body shook with fear and a bit of anger from what had happen to that young man. Lilith could feel her eyes stinging from how much she had cried and then decided that she was tired of crying and tired of feeling sorry for herself, she pushed herself up off the floor and slowly walked over to the fridge and pulled out the bottle of whiskey that she had hidden back and placed it on the countertop and then grabbed a whiskey glass and filled it with ice.
Lilith unscrewed the bottle and poured a large amount of the brown liquid into the iced glass and then closed the bottle back and placed it back inside the fridge and walked over to her small dining room table and sat down in a chair. Immediately, Lilith drained the whiskey from her glass and sat then sat there at her table and stared into dead space.
The visions from earlier still flashed around in her mind. The hope that the whiskey would have killed those visions were dashed and she didn't know what the hell to do. She had thought about calling the police about the incident, but she knew deep down inside that they wouldn't believe her at all. So, it was then that she decided to think about what she could do.
But after minutes of trying to figure out something her mind was coming up a complete blank. Lilith had always been a light drinker and she could feel the effects of the whiskey taking a hold of her body. She was a combination of both tired from crying earlier and dizzy from the booze, not feeling that she couldn't could herself awake any longer, Lilith placed her arms on the table and folded her arms on top of each other and then rested her head on top of them and took a nap.
However, about an hour into her nap, she awoke to the sound of loud banging on her front door. Figuring that it might be Mrs. Swanson coming to see why she hadn't come to pick up the banana bread that she was supposed to get, Lilith got up out of her chair and snatched unlocked her front door and opened it without looking at who was at the door and said. "I'm sorry that I haven't come over to your house to get the banana bread yet, Mrs. Swanson. I have some things going on that I need to get straightened out first and then I will come over."
"Who the fuck is Mrs. Swanson?" A man's deep voice asked.
Lilith knew that, that voice didn't belong to Mrs. Swanson. Quickly, she looked to where the voice had come from and she could feel all the blood drain from her face when she saw the two tall men standing in the entrance of her front door with smirks on their faces.
Quickly, Lilith let go of her hold of the door knob and backed up several steps from the door and let out a scream and then ran deeper into her house. The two men chased after her into the living room and then stopped and stared at her for a second and then she heard one of the men speak. "Lady, you are coming with us back to our boss's house whether you like it or not."
Lilith quickly shook her head at him and then replied. "I'm not going anywhere with you. I saw what you all did to that man back at the park. Trust me, I'm not that stupid."
She watched as the man's face turned to that of one of anger, he turned to other man that was standing beside him and said to the other man. "Stop standing there looking like a fucking fool and go get that bitch, Gio!"
The man called Gio, snapped himself back into reality and then started charging towards Lilith. As soon as he started coming towards her, Lilith snatched a vase that once belonged to her grandmother off the top of her fireplace and hurled it at Gio. The vase missed him by at least an inch, and she could almost literally see that anger rise in him.
Terrified, Lilith started grabbing anything that she could get her hands on and was throwing it at Gio. She knew that she couldn't keep this up for much longer, so she ran over to where a medium sized, glass figurine of a bear that once belonged to her ex was sitting on a shelf.
Between always hating that damn figurine and seeing Gio within an arms reach of her, Lilith snatched it off the shelf and chucked it as hard as she could. She watched as the figurine hit him in the head hard and heard it smash and shatter into tiny pieces and watched as Gio hit the floor hard, and unconscious.
With one man down and one more to go, Lilith watched as the main guy growl out and then said. "God damnit, you bitch! This ends now!" And then charged at Lilith and knocked her to the floor.
The man hit her so hard that when her head met the wood floor it bounced off of it and she started to see black dots in her vision and then lost consciousness underneath the heavy man who was pressed on top of her. With Lilith unconscious, Brent knew that it would be awhile before she regained consciousness. He pushed himself off of her and walked over to a past out Gio and gave him a hard kick to the shoulder and said angrily. "Get the fuck up, Gio. And help me get her in the car before someone starts getting curious around here!"
Feeling the kick to his shoulder and hearing Brent yelling at him, Gio opened his eyes and groaned and touched his head where it was the most in pain as he sat up on the floor. He looked to Brent with a questioning look on his face and then asked. "What happened?"'
Brent looked at Gio with a look of annoyance and said. "You got knocked the fuck out by a small woman with a bear figurine! That what happened, you fucking fool."
Gio had a confused look on his face at the information that he was just told. He could feel his head throbbing and the shattered glass that was near him, so he knew that Brent was telling him the truth. He pushed himself off the floor and stood up on his feet and walked over to where Lilith was still lying unconscious on the floor. He tisked and shook his head at Lilith's unconscious body and then asked. "Are you sure the boss is going to be alright with her being in this condition?"
"Vincent don't give a shit as long as she is at his place and not talking to the cops." Brent answered and walked over to where Gio was standing at and stopped beside him and looked at Lilith for a minute and then said. "Come on, let's hurry up get her up and get the fuck away from this place before one of her neighbors starts getting suspicious about what's going on in here."
Gio nodded in response and picked up Lilith and placed her over his shoulder and followed Brent out of the house and over to the car and placed her inside on the backseat and closed the back door and quickly got inside the car and drove off to Vincent's house with an unconscious Lilith in tow.
