When The Mask Falls - Chapter 1:

Notes:

So, recently I've been wanting to have the characters react to one of my other stories titled 'When The Mask Falls' so I thought you know what I am going to have them react to it. I hope you guys enjoy this. I love you all and let's begin, shall we? 😊

The audience stare at the screen in confusion, wondering what this could be about. "Just before I play this video, I have a couple questions." I ask with a monotone voice. The audience nod in response, waiting for me to ask them the questions. "Do you know about each other's universes? And are you okay with watching things to do with each other's universe?" I speak with the same tone, but there is a soft look in my eyes as I don't want to intimidate them, considering my resting bitch face...

Izuku is the one to speak up. "We do know about each other's universes as Shadow told us before she left. And I think I speak for everyone in my universe when I say that we'd be fine with watching the videos of their universe." Izuku's response is met with nods of agreement from those within the MHA universe. "I second what he said." Annabeth says speaking for the PJO universe.

I nod in understanding. "Well then, let's watch. Shall we?" I chuckle internally at my common phrase. I press play on the now fixed computer, waiting for the video to play.

Sat in his office, Nedzu stares at the test paper with a furrowed brow. "Hmm..." A look of confusion sits upon his features. The look of confusion increases the farther he gets through the test paper. The look of confusion is apparent due to the 'strange strategy' - if you can even call it that - that the student this test paper was completed by has used.

The audience are able to view the test paper that the on screen Nedzu is looking at. There is silence within the theatre as the members of each respective universe process the information that is written on the test paper on the screen.

After those few moments someone speaks up. "Hey um, wait what do we call you?" Will speaks up, his gaze moving to me. I turn my attention away from the computer and towards Will. "You can call me Akari." I speak with a calm and welcoming tone.

Will nods in appreciation at the response. "Ok, Akari. I'm quite confused, is there a reason you stopped the video on a test paper? I'm just not sure what the reason could be... Like what's the point of showing us a test paper?" Will rambles on about the how a test paper could be of importance.

I let him ramble on for a few moments, giving him the chance to process his words and speak them aloud, before gently interfering his speech. "Well, while I'm not going to explain the importance of this supposed unimportant place to stop a video, I will inform you that the video will explain my choice of video stopping. So, you'll just need to see, won't you?" I wink at the last comment I made, out of a teasing manner.

The seemingly strange strategy isn't apparent to the naked eye as you'd need a genius level IQ to notice it. Nedzu is unsure as to why this student would purposely answer questions wrong and create complex wrong answers for questions.

Members of the MHA universe who know Nedzu quite well and know his tactics, seem to feel that there is a specific reason why a test paper is so important, but while they don't mention it, they feel that something could either come out well with this.... Or extremelyyyy bad... and they are praying that it's the first option.

The PJO universe, who are still trying to wrap their heads around the MHA universe, are either confused by this whole video, or completely unbothered and uninterested. Those who are uninterested, sit in their seats wishing for a faster end to this whole thing.

But...

That's not all the opinions...

No..

Hehe..

We are forgetting someone. *Insert demonic smile emoji*

Aren't we?

Nedzu who, like his onscreen self had noticed the test paper and the strategy within it, becomes intrigued with this video and the purpose of it. He leans himself forward in his seat, his interest in the video being noticed by the UA staff, with some of them becoming concerned for where this video is going.

Nedzu can tell that this student is purposely answering questions wrong, but why? Why is he doing this? Nedzu has no clue as to why someone would do this. So, he looks further into it by checking this students' other tasks and even his foundational heroics fights. But what he finds is everything that lines up to a perfectly average student.

This new revelation of information racks the minds of each and every member of both universes. There is stunned silence throughout the theatre as everyone tries to wrap their heads around this.

Although the silence is short-lived as not even 5 minutes later a person is speaking up. Ten guesses who lol...

The person turns their head to me and with robotic hand movements, they speak up with an authoritative and stern tone.

"Miss Akari? Why is someone trying to sabotage their scores? Education is extremely important and should be taken seriously." Our favourite robotic class president Iida says with robotic hand movements coming out left right and centre continuously over the course of his speech.

Likewise with Will, I turn my gaze and focus towards Iida, giving him the same look, I gave Will. "Please, just call me Akari. No need for formalities Iida." I respond softly, my tone accompanied by a similar smile.

Iida responds with a nod of acknowledgement, but his facial expression clearly shows he wants answers. So, with that in mind, I take a deep breath and continue on with my speech.

"Well Iida, I agree that Education is extremely important, but you have mistaken the situation. You see, this person does actually value their education, they just have different ways of doing so. Do you understand?" I ask with a questioning look, hoping that he understands my words.

I receive my answer when Iida responds to my speech, after giving me a nod. "Yes Akari, I do understand. Thank you for letting me know." His words are once again accompanied by his signature robotic hands.

Something tells Nedzu that the class order level of academics and foundational heroics isn't ordered properly as one student is trying to hide their true self.

Well Nedzu's not going to leave this the same way. No. Nedzu is going to have fun with this student. "You may have fooled me which no one has done before but trust me, you're going to regret keeping your true self secret." Nedzu speaks with a malicious tone and has a manic smirk dancing on his face.

"Game on Midoriya Izuku."

Many members of the audience sit there in shock. Most not having realised any of this. While very few have known this and some of those few are extremely excited to see where this whole thing goes.

But for one specific member residing in the theatre, they are worried.. no terrified as to how this will play out.

Any guesses who???

Yes...

Hehe..

I.z.u.k.u M.i.d.o.r.i.y.a

Our sweet problem child is slumped back in his seat sweating bullets and praying nothing bad is going to happen.
