Well, I Don't Believe It To Be That Simple.
Notes:
Hello my wonderful children, I hope that you are doing well. If you need anything I am here to talk or just listen to anything you have to say. I know how hard asking for help is and please don't feel like you can't ask me anything, you can. But on another note, I hope you enjoy reading this chapter. I love you all and let's begin shall we? 😊
The members of the My Hero Academia universe are sat in their assigned seats within the reaction theatre. They are sitting in their seats chatting with the people around them, just chilling and having a good time. None have noticed the title of the video having shown up on the screen.
After what seems like ages but is only a few minutes someone notices the title of the video being present on the screen and informs everyone else in the room of its presence. Once everyone has a look at it, Shadow decides to not let them think it through first and instead plays the video, which surprises the My Hero Academia characters.
The title disappears from the screen, while being replaced with a scene on said screen. The scene that appears on the screen is the interior of the 1-A classroom. Sat in the classroom are class 1-A who are in their assigned seats, with Aizawa standing at the front of the room. The board behind Aizawa has writing written on it. The writing displayed on the board reads 'How Does One Determine The Difference Between Right And Wrong?'
"Alright Problem children, today's topic is on the difference between right and wrong. So tell me what you think the difference between right and wrong is and how one would come to that conclusion." Aizawa says with his usual tired and deadpan tone. He rubs the bridge of his nose in tiredness.
The audience are completely tuned into the video and are keeping their gaze on the screen as to not miss anything, due to how interesting this topic is and how intrigued some members of the My Hero Academia characters are in hearing the members of class 1-A's opinions on the matter.
Aizawa is the most interested in hearing his students' opinions on the topic as he is curious in their way of thinking. No Hizashi he is not soft. No, he just wants to make sure that they become the heroes he knows they can be. He is definitely not soft...
As the video continues, the same scene from before which consists of class 1-A sitting at their desks, while Aizawa is standing at the front of the room, with writing on the board behind him displaying the statement 'How Does One Determine The Difference Between Right And Wrong' is being displayed on the screen that sits at the front of the theatre, where the My Hero Academia characters are keeping their gazes fixed on.
Iida's hand shoots up with a robotic like gesture, which is to be expected considering what his personality and body language consists of. He seems eager to answer the question placed upon the board standing behind Aizawa, judging by the speed his hand moves from his side into the air, along with the eager expression that rests upon his face.
Aizawa knowing full well that Iida would put his hand up, sighs and rubs the bridge of his nose once more out of tiredness and slight annoyance. The annoyance isn't pointed at Iida directly but at how this is going to be a long conversation.
"Yes Iida?" Aizawa says with a deadpan tone, while continuing to pinch the bridge of his nose. There is silence for a few moments while Iida processes the fact that Aizawa just called on him, but once he does, he speaks up with his usual tone of voice all the while making choppy robotic hand gestures to go along with his words. "The difference between right and wrong is that when something is wrong then there are consequences for it, while when something is right then the person gets praised. The way one learns the difference between right and wrong is through experiences that occur growing up."
Most members of the audience agree with Iida's statement and find what he said to be true as it seems to be the most logical reason to them, which they are entitled to their opinions and they have grown up believing that to be true.
While most of the My Hero Academia characters agree with Iida's statement on what the difference between right and wrong is and how one comes to that conclusion, the rest of the audience find Iida's statement to be incorrect, which like before they are entitled to their own opinions.
But while the members of the audience that believe that Iida is wrong, they don't all have the same opinion of the difference between right and wrong and how one comes to think that, as they all have differing opinions on the topic.
The video commences once more, now showing the members of class 1-A sitting at their desks, with their full attention which was on Aizawa now being on Iida, with Aizawa standing at the front of the classroom having his gaze and attention on Iida, with the question of the day written on the board behind him. Aizawa goes to respond to Iida, but before he has the chance Izuku hums.
All of class 1-A and Aizawa turn their heads to Izuku, interested in what he has to say. Izuku realising that all of the attention is now on him, flushes out of embarrassment and nervousness. He mumbles a quiet 'sorry.' Aizawa looks at him with an expressionless look on his face and says with a tone that matches his facial expression. "Would you like to put your input in?"
Izuku feeling shy at being called upon, shakes his head. "N-no thanks..." He stumbles upon his words, his nervousness clear as day in his tone, but with his fast-paced wording it is clear he wants Aizawa to move on and choose someone else to speak so that the attention is off of him.
Hitoshi nudges Izuku with his elbow. "Aww~ someone's nervous." Hitoshi says teasingly while a big smirk rests upon his face. He knows Izuku doesn't like having attention on him and loves to tease him about it. You know just like how best friends act.
Izuku sneakily glares at Hitoshi not liking the teasing one bit, but ultimately knowing that Hitoshi is only joking to get a rise out of him. Izuku knows full well that Hitoshi enjoys testing the limits and finds it nice that Hitoshi is trying to get Izuku to feel comfortable with him by testing the limits instead of just treating Izuku as a fragile object, but also a pile of broken glass that needs to be carefully stepped around.
The video continues once more, but while Izuku prays that Aizawa will just move on and choose someone else, the universe decides 'fuck you' and so instead of Aizawa moving onto someone else, he persists and says. "That wasn't a question Problem child, please share your opinion with the class." Aizawa speaks sternly to let Izuku know this isn't up for debate.
Izuku internally curses at the universes clear hate for him and nods in understanding to Aizawa's statement. "Well, I don't believe it to be that simple..." He says quietly, his tone filled with nervousness. He starts to fidget with his hands due to the nerves.
Hitoshi chuckles knowing that Izuku despises being called upon in the class to share his opinion on a topic, even if it is one he likes. Hitoshi once again nudges Izuku's shoulder and gives Izuku a sly smirk. Izuku just glares at his best friend, seeing just how much his best friend is enjoying his misery.
Aizawa hums in acknowledgment and interest at Izuku's statement, urging Izuku to go on with his explanation and elaborate further on it. Izuku takes a deep breath before continuing on with his opinion.
"How does one know the difference between right and wrong? That is an interesting question that isn't all black and white. The topic of the difference between right and wrong is a very complex one that ranges on people's personal experiences and influences." Izuku starts of speaking with nervousness, but as he progresses further though his statement his tone becomes more confident and slowly disregards the nervous touch to his tone.
The audience are intrigued by what Izuku is saying and are interested in seeing what Izuku's point of view on the topic is. So, with that dedication to hear what Izuku has to say, they focus in on the video, keeping their gaze's lazar focussed on the video being played on the screen in front of them.
Aizawa stays silent, his focus completely on Izuku and his words. Aizawa keeps his expression unreadable, but internally he is intrigued and wanting to hear Izuku's thought process behind it.
"While one person could see a specific thing as wrong, another person may see it as completely okay. This is due to their own personal experiences with life, along with those they grew up being around and being influenced by." Izuku's tone is once again filled with confidence and he speaks fluently with no words being stuttered whatsoever.
Aizawa once again listens carefully to Izuku's words taking them in and letting them sink in fully. He nods in acknowledgment and motions for Izuku to continue on, his interest increasing significantly.
The members of the My Hero Academia universe are now further interested in what Izuku is saying and are taking into account his words as they seem to make a lot of sense, but they don't let his words sway their own opinions, but instead they hear out what he has to say.
"Since the former found the specific thing to be wrong, they grew up being told it was wrong by either being told that by a parent, trusted adult or an influential person or they were shown that this was wrong by the actions of the people around them, which had a large impact on their opinion of right and wrong due to how doing that specific thing got handled when someone did it."
Listening to Izuku explain his opinion of the difference between right and wrong further peaks the interest of the characters within the My Hero Academia universe and they listen intently to Izuku's words, trying to carefully take everything he says in. They are starting to see how well thought out Izuku's thought process on this topic is and they are extremely excited to hear more.
"But since the latter found the specific thing to be right, they were brought up differently to the former person as their trusted adult, parent and/or influential person told them that that specific thing was right or were shown this through the actions of others around them, which then would have also had a huge impact on their opinion of what is right and what is wrong."
"But in all reality, it is actually quite difficult to tell what is wrong and what is right due to how everyone has been brought up, taught and experienced things differently, so because of this there is no concrete way to tell what is right and wrong. This is further proven as while some might believe that topic could be wrong, certain others could believe the opposite which is that that the topic is completely right."
The audience continue to listen intently to Izuku's words, which are showing his thought process on the topic of the difference between right and wrong. No one is saying a word as they are all to focussed and engrossed on listening to the words being said in the video in front of them.
"Gauging the difference between right and wrong is brought up through the words said by those closest to the person, but also through the actions of people. With the way those words are said or the way the actions come across, it will influence the person beliefs and over time their opinions and beliefs will be shaped over what they grew up being taught and what they grew up seeing. So essentially if you actively try to tell someone something repeatedly, then over time your words will sway them into believing and thinking that topic of interest to be true."
"There are two ways that a person's beliefs and opinions can turn out. Those two ways are dependent on whether they grew up around bad influences or positive influences."
The My Hero Academia characters find this statement interesting and are curious as to where Izuku is going to go with that statement. As the My Hero Academia characters watch the video in front of them, Nedzu sits among them his interest and curious at it's peak, his sole interest on hearing what a student at UA thinks of the difference between right and wrong. It is clear that he is the most interested in this video, due to how he is resting his chin on his paw and his grin slowly widens over the course of the video, slowly wanting more and more to make Izuku his personal student.
"Growing up around bad influences can cause them to have a negative mindset towards the world or themselves. But while they may grow up around bad influences, they may not realise that they have grown up around this sort of people and will not realise that their thought process was based off of people who have statistically stereotypically bad world views and may struggle with trying to figure out their own opinions, beliefs, values and world view after having grown up the way they did."
This statement of how growing up with bad influences can shape someone's personal views, further entices Nedzu into wanting Izuku to be his personal student, and while most are unaware of Nedzu's plan, there are two sitting within the theatre that are well aware of what Nedzu is planning as they can feel the shift in the universe. They become extremely concerned as they know that if Nedzu makes Izuku his personal student, then Nedzu's plan to commit world domination, will go into action and there will be no one to stop Nedzu.
"While growing up around good influences can cause them to have a positive mindset towards the world or themselves. The positive view on the world or themselves they may realise that they don't believe those values of the people around them and may struggle with trying to find and figure out their own opinions, values, beliefs and world view since having grown up around people who have statistically stereotypically good world views."
Nedzu is even more enticed into making Izuku his personal student, as this last statement Izuku made has caused Nedzu's decision to become final. Nedzu's normal grin shifts to a wicked and manic one, which in turn cause the two members of the My Hero Academia universe who were aware of Nedzu's plan to sweat drop and become horrified as they feel the shift in the universe become more prominent and more darker. The two that I speak of being Nedzu's adopted son Aizawa who has seen first hand how his father can be and Nedzu's previous personal student Hizashi, who knows full well what his mentor is capable of.
