Shinso + reader

Requested by Sl33pd3pr1v3dS1mp<3

In this oneshot, you will be Shinso's twin sister, so your name will be Y/N Shinso. You can also brain wash, but besides that you can read Shinso's mind and he can read yours. Like twintuition ;)

Italics- Hitoshi's thoughts

Underlined- your thoughts

~•~❤️~•~

No one's POV:

"Come on, Hitoshi, we're gonna be late!" you whined, waiting impatiently by the door for your brother.

She's so annoying.

"Hey! No I'm not!" you defended. "I just don't want to be late for the first day of school!"

"Goodbye, Mrs. *Random name*!" you called to your foster parent.

"Goodbye." she answered simply. She was always like that- not exactly mean, but far from loving. Indifferent. The only reason she had agreed to foster you in the first place was that she could brag to her neighbors that she did something good.

But your time with her was almost over- which was good, and bad. You were glad that you wouldn't have to stay with her anymore, but you were having trouble finding foster parents that would foster twins with brain washing quirks.

People, like Mrs. *Random name* for instance, didn't want children with 'villainous' quirks in their care.

That was the reason your parents had given you up in the first place.

"Stop thinking about that." said Hitoshi unexpectedly.

"Sorry." you mumbled "I'm just worried that we won't be able to ever find a new family..."

"We will." he said reassuringly, walking out the front door.

"Yeah." you agreed, but you were still uncertain.

You pushed those thoughts out of your head.

Today was your first day at UA! A new beginning! And even if you weren't in the hero course yet, you were going to prove that you could be a hero, no matter your quirk.

You smiled as you and your twin walked along the sunlit sidewalk side by side.

You were happy that you could both become heroes together, even if he was annoying.

"Oh, so now I'm the annoying one?" he chuckled.

"Stop reading my mind!" you scolded him, reaching up to swat the back of his head.

"It's not my fault you think so loud!" he defended teasingly.

"What does that even mean!?" you laughed.

"You're thoughts are so loud I can hear them without reading your mind." he said.

"At least I have thoughts!" you said, crossing your arms "You're brain is emptier than All Might's can of hair spray."

"Pffft."

You quickened your pace to get ahead of him.

"Last one there's a rotten egg!" you called, breaking into a run.

Hitoshi just rolled his eyes, not bothering to run. He followed slowly behind as you ran up to UA's large gates.

"Come on!" you rushed as he trudged along "We don't want to be late!"

"There's still, like, fifteen minutes." he groaned, not quickening his pace.

"Well, I don't know about you, but I want to get there before next week." you said, walking through the arch without him.

"Wait... I'm coming..." he muttered, catching up to you.

You smiled, before grabbing his arm and dragging him along.

He didn't protest as you pulled him through the halls until you found class 1-c.

"Here we go." you breathed, prepping yourself.

You opened the door and walked into your new classroom, Hitoshi in tow.

~•~❤️~•~

You gasped dramatically, elbowing Hitoshi.

While walking to lunch, you had spotted a familiar man wearing black clothes and a long grey scarf.

"Hitoshi! Hitoshi, look it's Eraserhead! Isn't he your favourite hero!? Go ask for his autograph!" you urged your brother.

"No way!" he protested, leaning away from you to avoid your elbow.

Oh my goodness!! I can't believe he works here! He's so cool...

I told you, go ask for his autograph!

Hey, get out of my thoughts!

Fine, I'll let you fanboy in peace.

Hitoshi glared at you but you just smiled.

"Your thoughts were so loud I could hear them." you shrugged.

~•~❤️~•~

"Y/N, guess what!" said Hitoshi one night after school. He sounded more excited than you had ever heard him, so it must be something good.

I still can't believe we get to train with THE Eraserhead!

"We get to train with Eraserhead!?" you exclaimed.

"Hey, I wanted to tell you!" he complained "But yes. Mr Aizawa heard about us and our quirks and asked if we wanted to train with him after school tomorrow."

"That's great!" you said enthusiastically. "Maybe he sees potential heros in us!"

"That's what I was thinking." said Hitoshi, slowly turning back into his unexcitable self.

We went to bed earlier than usual. Tonight was our last night with these foster parents, but new ones had still not been found.

All we could do was hope for the best, and hope we did.

~•~❤️~•~

"Ah, there you are Shinso... and Shinso." came the tired voice of Aizawa, class 1-a's homeroom teacher.

He was waiting for us outside for the training he had promised.

"Mr. Eraserhead!" you gasped "Thank you so much for doing this! Also, my brother is your biggest fan. But he's too shy to ask for your autograph, so I was wondering-"

Hitoshi quickly covered your mouth, looking embarrassed.

"That's enough out of you." he hissed, before turning back to Mr Aizawa.

"Sorry about her." he said in an exausted tone, jerking a thumb at you "Anyway, what kind of training are we doing?"

Do NOT mess this up for me.

I was trying to help :(

Hitoshi rolled his eyes and Aizawa said:

"You two have the potential to become heroes" he started "It doesn't matter what your quirk is. That is why I have volunteered to personally train the two of you, in case a spot in the hero course is opened."

You bounced up and down in excitement.

"Mr Aizawa, sir, we have waited all our lives to hear that!" you squealed.

"Glad to hear it." he said quietly "It won't be easy, so let's get started."

~•~❤️~•~

"You both have very powerful quirks." complemented Aizawa at the end of the training session.

You smiled, breathing heavily. He wasn't lying when he said it would be hard, but it was worth it.

Suddenly, you heard your ringtone and you hurried to answer your phone.

This phone call would determine where you were going to stay next and if there were any available foster parents.

Is it them? thought Hitoshi.

Yeah. you thought back, knowing who he was talking about.

"Sorry Aizawa sensei, but I really need to take this." you apologized, answering the phone.

"Hello?... Yes... Oh... I understand... Thank you..."

You looked at Hitoshi and shook your head sadly. He furrowed his eyebrows, his worst fears being confirmed.

No one?

Not a single person willing to take us in...

"Not to pry, but is there a problem?" asked Aizawa, looking between the two of you.

"Yes" you sighed hopelessly "There are no foster parents willing to take us in."

"Foster? You mean you don't have..." he trailed off "I see... Listen, I know you two don't know me very well yet, but you're... welcome to stay the night. Until we can get things figured out."

"Really!?" you looked up, hope rising within you "Thank you so much, sir! That would mean a lot!"

"Thanks..." muttered Hitoshi, but you could tell that he was extremely grateful.

"No problem. It will be a little crowded, but we'll manage." he said, giving you a small smile.

That night you walked home to your new mentor's house. You didn't know what the future would hold for you two, but you had hope that things would get better.

~•~❤️~•~*the next morning, during a teacher meeting*

"Aizawa, you can't keep adopting these kids." sighed All Might.

"That didn't seem to apply to Midoriya, did it, Toshinori?" he muttered, glaring at the man.

"You're already looking after Eri." reasoned Nezu. "You're a busy man, Shota. Adding two more kids to your list of responsibilities sounds like too much."

"They have nowhere else to go." said Aizawa.

"I could help out!" offered Present Mic loudly.

"That might work..." muttered Nezu "The two of you working together to look after the kids and get all the teaching done..."

"I would rather do it alo-"

"Nonsense, Aizawa, you need all the help you can get." cut off Midnight.

"You all can move into my house!" proposed Present Mic. "I have a few extra bedrooms for the kids can you can sleep on the couch!"

"I agree with Hizashi." piped up Nezu "You will both work together to take care of the Shinso's and Eri. Agreed, Aizawa?"

"Agreed." he mumbled, definitely not looking forward to living with Present Mic.

"Meeting dismissed!"

~•~❤️~•~*back with you

"What will we do, Hitoshi?" you stressed as the end of the school day drew nearer and you still didn't know where you were going to live.

"We'll figure it out." he assured you again.

I'm worried too, but there's nothing we can do about it right now.

"Just speak your mind, Toshi, you know I can read it." you sighed.

He tensed slightly at the nickname that you hadn't used in years.

"Right... Well, I am worried, but I also believe that we will find a solution." he said after a pause.

You nodded, hoping he was right.

Little did you know, that a solution had already been found and Aizawa was waiting impatiently for the end of his lesson to tell you...

~•~❤️~•~*time skippity skip

"Y/N, can you pass the salt?"

"Sure, Dad!" you smiled as you passed Aizawa the salt.

It had only been a few weeks since he'd told you you were moving in with him, Eri and Present Mic, but he had already agreed to let you call him that. And he had been treating you like his own daughter ever since.

Overall, you had never been happier.

"Big sis, guess what I did today!" exclaimed Eri, jumping up and down in her seat.

"What did you do?" you asked her curiously.

"Me and Onii-chan drew a picture, see!" she pointed at the fridge, where a drawing was hung up by a magnet.

It was a simple drawing, done in colored crayons, of five stick people- one with long blond hair and sunglasses, one with purple hair, a girl with h/c hair holding the hand of a little girl with light hair and a horn and an unmistakably tired man with long black hair and a scarf.

"Aw, is that us? It's so good!" you awed, praising the girl.

"Yep! That one is you, that one is Onii-chan, that one is Papa and that one is Dad!" she explained, pointing to each one in turn.

"It's amazing, but it's missing one thing..."

You got up and grabbed a pencil off if the counter. Carefully you wrote 'OUR FAMILY' at the top of the page in bold letters.

"Beautiful!" sniffed Papa (Present Mic).

"I'm glad you think of us in that way." said Aizawa, smiling slightly.

"Of course! You guys are the best family we've ever had!" you beamed "Right, Hitoshi?"

"Whatever." he muttered, looking back down at his food.

I've never been happier.

A/n

This one was a little harder to write, but it was really fun! I hope I did an okay job on the request!

The next oneshot will be a continuation of the last Bakugo x reader one I did a while back. I wasn't sure if I was going to continue it, but it was sort of requested. I look forward to writing it tho!!!

I love you all and thanks for reading!!!
