Third person POV:

Koji Koda nervously checked his reflection in the mirror. This was his first date, so he had to look nice.

Not that they were going anywhere fancy- in fact, it was Pony Tsunatori's idea that they go to the zoo together.

Of course, she had suggested it knowing about his love for animals, being the kind and thoughtful person she was.

Koda was excited to say the least to go on a date with her.

A few minutes before the time they had agreed to meet at, Koda said goodbye to his pet rabbit and left his dorm.

Soon he arrived at the zoo entrance, where Pony was already waiting for him. She was wearing a simple, yet beautiful, orange dress and waved excitedly when she saw him.

"Hi, Koji!"

"Hello, Pony." he answered, feeling slightly more relaxed around her.

"Come on, let's go look at the rhinos!"

Pony grabbed him by the hand and pulled him forward.

They walked through the entrance and around the zoo, still holding hands.

"Wow, look they have penguins!" exclaimed Pony, running up to the exhibit.

Koda followed her, watching the birds flip and swim in the water.

"What do you want to see next?"

Before Pony could answer, a scream was heard from somewhere nearby.

Koda looked around, heart beating fast, for the source of the sound.

Soon he spotted it- by the zebras, a group of about thirty villains were rampaging, capturing and injuring many of the visitors.

"Come one, Pony!" he said and, being a hero in training, attempted to lead her and as many others as possible to safety.

They hid inside the aquarium building, going in deeper untill they thought they were safe for the moment.

"What are we going to do?" whispered Pony.

"I-I don't know." Koda said back "But we have to do something. We're UA students after all."

Pony nodded. Koda then went over to a nearby window and called out to the birds.

A few birds flew up to him and he whispered instructions to them on where to find help.

"The pro heroes should be here shortly." he said nervously.

"Well, well, well."

Koda whipped around to see a few villains nearing their little hiding spot.

"Look who we have here." said one of the thugs "What a pretty little lady!"

Pony backed away until her back hit the wall, eyes wide with fear.

"You two are coming with us." sneered the one who appeared to be the leader.

"No way!" said Koda bravely, stepping in front of Pony.

"It wasn't a question." said the villain, coming closer.

They tried to fight back, but it was no use- they were outnumbered.

They were dragged back to where all the other visitors were being held captive, probably as hostages for the pro heroes.

"What do you want with us?" asked a woman from the group desperately.

"You see, a few months ago, a large number of our group were captured and locked up in jail" said the leader, who was still holding Pony "And we want them back. I don't think the heroes will refuse us if we have so many hostages! Though, admittedly, we might have to start killing you one by one if they don't cooperate."

A maniacal laugh escaped the villain's throat before he turned his attention back to the girl in front of him.

*children, avert your eyes! (just some suggestive stuff you might not want to read)

"Hey, boys, don't you think this girl would look so much better naked?" he yelled to his thugs.

He was met with a chorus of cheers and evil laughs as well as whimpers from Pony.

Koda fought as hard as he could against the villains restraining him, but to no avail.

The leader's finger nails grew into long sharp claws and he scratched the back of Pony's dress, leaving a long tear from the top to the bottom.

Pony started to cry as the dress fell to the ground, leaving her exposed.

Koda felt something inside of him stir. Born from the rage towards the cheering and whistling group of villains before him, a new power awakened.

*Children, it's safe to look. Also, play the music at the top of the chapter during the fight scene.

Koda screamed angrily, something that was unheard of for him and a great surge of energy threw the six villains holding him back away from him.

The leader, with a hint of fear in his voice, ordered the six villains to restrain Koda once more. But Koda was no longer there:

Standing where Koda used to be was a sort of beast. Using it's powerful arms and claws, it picked up one of the villains.

It fought and struggled but it was no use. In his new beast form, Koda swung the villain around like a bat, easily knocking over the other five villains.

"Everyone, attack!" commanded the boss.

Villains started coming at Koda from the left and right.

One stepped forward and, using his quirk, sent a huge fireball at Koda.

Instead of dodging it, he took it head on.

"No!" screamed Pony, seeing Koda get engulfed by the flames.

"Koji!" she sobbed again, thinking he was dead, but to everyone's surprise, Koda emerged without a scratch.

"Who is this kid!?" screams the fireball villain, scrambling back.

Other villains followed his example and attempt to flee.

But Koda was not about to let them escape. Not after all the harm they've caused Pony and the other zoo visitors.

He chased after them and successfully immobilized all of them one by one.

Then he turned towards the leader of the group.

"You've made a big mistake." he growled.

"Stop! Come any closer and I'll kill the girl!" threatened the boss in a shaky voice, extending a clawed hand towards Pony.

TW: blood and gore

But before he could strike, Koda attacked him, ripping off his raised arm in the process.

Screaming in pain, the villain attempted to slice Koda with his other arm, only to find out that Koda's beast form had skin as hard as stone.

Koda finished off the villain leader by smashing him into the ground with his powerful arm.

The villain boss was left laying there, with wounds beyond recovery and cracked earth beneath him.

Koda turns toward Pony, transforming back into his normal self.

"Are you ok?" he asked, concern evident in his voice as he ran towards the girl.

"Yes." she replied shakily, wiping her eyes.

Koda spotted a jacket, probably dropped by one of the visitors, and hands it to her so she could cover up.

Suddenly, one of the zoo visitors shouted:

"Thanks for saving us!"

Others soon joined in:

"That transformation was awesome!"

"We owe you our lives!"

Cheering breaks out among them and Koda waved back awkwardly, telling them it was nothing.

After clearing things up with the pro heroes and police officers and answering a few reporter's questions, Koda and Pony finally got to go home.

"Do you want to hang out at my dorm?" asked Koda nervously, feeling guilty that their first date had been an utter disaster.

"Sure!" smiled Pony, still wearing a random guy's jacket.

As soon as they walked into the class 1-a dorm building, they were swarmed by worried classmates.

"We saw you on TV!"

"Since when do you have a second quirk!?"

"You were so brave!"

Koda scratched the back of his neck nervously as he told his classmates about his newly manifested quirk- Asterios.

Midoriya asked question after question, scribbling down notes in his quirk analysis journal.

Meanwhile, the girls all swarmed around Pony.

"We heard what happened!" said Uraraka "Are you ok? They didn't do anything like that to you, did they?"

Pony assured them that she was fine and Koda stopped them before they could do anything serious.

Their first date may not have gone the way they had thought it would, but they had many more, hopefully less eventful, ones ahead of them.
