Jiro's POV:

I was sitting at my desk, surrounded by my best friends - the Bakusquad. I was chatting with Mina but my eyes kept straying towards the energetic blonde laughing at something Kirishima had said.

"...is totally overrated, right? Kyoka?"

Mina's voice snapped me out if my daydream.

"Yeah? Sorry, I zoned out."

She looked suspiciously at me and then looked around in the direction I had been staring at. Her eyes found Kaminari and realization dawned on her features.

"Were you staring at Denki? *gasp* You like him, don't you??" she exclaimed.

"No!" I said quickly, though the blush on my face said otherwise.

Mina giggled.

"You two are perfect for each other!! I just know he likes you back!"

I sighed.

"No, I doubt he does. He's so friendly and popular and funny and cute..."

"Wow, you really are in love."

"Shut up." I grumbled, face turning red. I hadn't even realized I had said that last part. I think it so often I guess it slipped out. Either way, the fact remained: Kaminari was out of my league.

"Hey, Mina, Hi Jiro!"

I jumped and turned as none other than my crush himself made his way towards us.

Mina gave me a knowing smirk that made my cheeks flush yet again.

"Uh, Jiro, you're face is kind of red, are you okay?" asked Kaminari with concern.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I said, glaring at Mina, who was looking between the two of us, the mischievous smile never leaving her lips.

"Okay." he said cheerfully. "I was wondering if you two wanted to hang out at my dorm later. We're gonna play Super Smash Bros!"

I perked up "Yeah, I'd love to!"

"Sorry I still have to finish that essay Aizawa gave us last week." said Mina.

"Okay, next time I guess."

Mina winked at me before returning to her desk. You hoped Kaminari hadn't seen that.

"What was that about?" he asked.

He had.

"I have no idea." I lied.

"Okay... Well I see you later. 4 o'clock sound ok?"

"Yeah, I'll be there."

No one's POV:

"Hey, have you told her yet?" asked Kirishima as he elbowed his best friend, Kaminari.

"No." he sighed. "I will. Just not now."

"C'mon, man. I just know she likes you back."

"I doubt it. She's so kind, and smart, and fun, and cute..." he mumbled.

"Just confess already." advised Kirishima "That's the manly thing to do."

"Fine." said Kaminari "I'll tell her how I feel when I see her after school today."

"I'm rooting for you, bro!"

Jiro's POV:

I was lounging in my dorm room, waiting for four o'clock to come. I had finished all my homework and even practiced on my guitar for a little. I glanced at my digital alarm clock- 15:45.

I stood up, deciding I had enough time to take a quick shower before heading over to Kaminari's room.

I grabbed a baggy T-shirt and a pair of ripped jeans, before heading towards the girl's common bathroom.

As the hot water ran down my back I began to sing quietly about how I was feeling just then.

'Super shy' by Newjeans was the song that came to mind, so I sang my heart out, expressing my untold love for Kaminari.

I'm super shy, super shy
But wait a minute while I make you mine, make you mine
떨리는 지금도 you're on my mind all the time
I wanna tell you but I'm super shy, super shy.

The notes echoed around in the empty bathroom.

I sighed as the song came to an end and I got out of the shower, dried off and got dressed. I quickly blow dried my hair and left the bathroom, heading straight for Kaminari's room.

Kaminari's POV:

I was walking towards Jiro's room to let her know that we would be starting a little earlier than expected. Sero, Bakugo and Kirishima had already arrived and were waiting in my room to start the game.

I knocked on her door but nobody answered. I waited, knocked again, still no answer.

Hesitantly, I cracked the door open and peeked in, only to see an empty room.

'Where could she be' I wondered, walking a little ways down the hall.

I was about to turn back around but I heard a faint noise and paused.

Somebody was singing.

I subconsciously walked towards the source of the sound.

It was Jiro.

Her beautiful voice was coming from the girl's bathroom. I stood there and listened intently, trying to catch the words:

...you're on my mind all the time
I wanna tell you but I'm super shy, super shy.

The song came to an end and the sound of running water stopped, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I wondered who she had been singing about. Kirishima's words suddenly came to mind:

I just know she likes you back

I shook my head, but my hopes lifted a tiny bit in spite of myself.

I light blush appeared on my face as I quickly started walking back towards my dorm room.

Jiro's POV:

I walked into Kaminari's room to see Sero, Kaminari, Kirishima and Bakugo lounging around and talking.

"Finally!" yelled Bakugo.

"It's 4:01."

"We've been waiting for 15 minutes, stupid extra!"

"Whatever, let's get started!" interrupted Kaminari, preparing the controllers and setting up his Nintendo Switch.

We all picked our character, Bakugo was Bowser, Sero- Link, Kirishima- Sonic, Kaminari- Ridley and I- Kirby.

We played for a while until it was only me and Kaminari left (Bakugo almost broke the Switch when Sero killed him. Thankfully, Sero is still alive).

We both had one life left. My heart was beating fast as the little pink ball I was controlling dodges the vicious attacks of the dragon like creature that Kaminari was playing as.

We were tied. The others watched with bated breath to see who would win.

Then Kaminari's special move recharged and with a victorious 'Aha!' he pressed X and unleashed it.

But I was able to fly out if the way just in time. I thought I was safe when he charged at me again yelling:

"I'm gonna smash you!"

I choked on my spit and nearly dropped the controller.

With me being distracted, Kaminari was able to deal the killing blow.

"I won!" he cheered.

He turned towards me but stopped when he saw my red, flustered face.

"What's wrong, Jiro? Was it something I said?"

"Uh, no, let's... just keep playing."

He shrugged.

"I'm going to win again."

"Alright, bet."

We played a few more games, before Bakugo got angry and left, yelling that we'd cheated and that's why he hadn't won a single round.

After a while Sero left, saying he had to finish some homework.

A few minutes later Kirishima departed as well, with a meaningful look towards Kaminari and a wink.

This confused me a little but I shrugged it off as a 'guy thing'.

Seeing as it was only me and Kaminari now, I decided to stand up and leave as well.

"Wait!" called Kaminari, grabbing my wrist.

I turned to him and saw that his face was slightly red.

"Yeah?"

"I wanted to tell that... Well..."

I held my breath. Could it be...?

"I like you!" he blurted, turning a deeper shade of scarlet.

I heart swelled and I couldn't help but pounce on Kaminari, enveloping him in a tight hug.

"I like you, too." I said in his ear.

"Does this mean you'll be my girlfriend?" he asked hopefully, pulling himself out of the hug.

"Hell, yeah!"

He grinned and started to say something, but I cut him off by placing my lips on his.

He enthusiasically returned the kiss, even lifting me up and twirled me around.

I had never been happier than I was then.

Denki Kaminari was my boyfriend.
