I looked through my wardrobe and drawers full of clothes, but was unable to find a single nice outfit for my date with Keigo.

We'd been dating for just over a year now and he said I looked good in anything, but I still wanted to look my absolute best tonight. He had told me that there would be an extra special surprise at the end of the date and wouldn't even tell me where we were going.

I sighed, tossing a black top onto the bed and rummaging in my drawer for a different option.

Then I decided to text Yu (Mt Lady) for fashion advice as a last resort. We'd grown close doing hero work together and if anyone could help me pick out a date night outfit, it was her.

I smiled slightly as I put my phone away and started looking for the said jeans and top.

An hour before the time we had agreed for Keigo to pick me up, I started getting ready. I quickly got dressed, did my make up and styled my hair.

Yu had been right about these jeans, I thought with a smirk as I gazed at my reflection.

I grabbed a purse and went outside to wait for Keigo.

Soon I saw him approaching, flying in on his big red wings.

"Hi, babe!" he greeted, landing next to me and folding his large wings.

"Hi! So, where are we going?" I asked him excitedly.

"Somewhere special." he smiled "Come on, I'll carry you there."

I rolled my eyes but allowed him to pick me up bridal style nonetheless. Just like we had many times before, he flew up into the air with me in his arms.

I enjoyed the wind in my hair, not caring that I had just styled it, as we flew over the city.

A few minutes later, Keigo started to descend. He still hadn't told me where this 'special place' was.

It was finally revealed when we landed right in front of... a KFC.

"This is the special place you wanted to go to?" I laughed.

"Yep. Today they have a sale on chicken wings. Doesn't get much more special than that." he smirked "But don't worry, there's still an extra special surprise at the end for you!"

I rolled my eyes at my boyfriend's love for chicken wings but didn't complain. He wasn't wrong and I can never say no to KFC chicken wings.

But I was still curious about what the big surprise he was planning.

We walked into the restaurant hand in hand and got in line to place our order.

In any other restaurant, Keigo would have been swarmed by crazy fans asking for his autograph, but he came here so often that the diners had gotten used to him.

"Ah, Hawks and Y/N, what can I get for you?" asked the KFC worker with a friendly smile.

"Bucket for two, please." answered Keigo.

"Coming right up!"

While we waited for our order, Keigo got a few curious and surprised glances. I mostly got jealous glares from fan girls but I didn't mind.

He's mine, bishes.

When our order was called, we got our food and sat down in a quieter corner of the restaurant.

While we talked about our day, I noticed that my boyfriend was acting strange. He seemed... nervous?

Maybe it was about the surprise. I decided not to question him about it, opting to let him tell me himself later.

"...and then Endeavor set all his paperwork on fire!" finished Keigo, taking a big bite out of his fried chicken wing.

I laughed at his story, taking a bite out of my own chicken.

After a while, I looked out the window and saw how late it was- the sun was just beginning to set, turning the sky a light pink.

"Come on, it's time for your surprise!" smiled Keigo, standing up.

I stood up and followed him out of the restaurant, my excitement growing.

"Ready to fly?" he asked me with his signature smirk.

"Um, yeah, but to whe-"

I was cut off as he swept me into his arms and took off.

Before I had time to wonder where we were going, we were there.

The short flight had been to the roof of KFC. I looked around, slightly confused, until I saw the view.

"Wow..." was all I could say.

This particular KFC was at the edge of town, so there were no tall apartment buildings to get in the way of the breathtaking view of the sunset.

The purple- tinted clouds drifted in front of the bright orange sun shining in the pink and yellow sky. High above, the first stars were just beginning to show.

"It's beautiful." I breathed and turned to look at my boyfriend.

Only to realise he wasn't there. I looked around and finally spotted him.

He was right behind me, but the reason I hadn't seen him at first was because he was kneeling.

Time seemed to slow and my heart rate increased as the reality of what was happening crashed in on me.

"Y/N" started Keigo, looking deep into my eyes "I know we haven't been dating for that long, but you make me feel like the happiest man alive. This past year has been the best of my life. And it would make me even happier if we spent the rest of our lives together."

He pulled a small box out of his pocket and opened it, revealing a beautiful ring.

"What do you say... Will you marry me?"

Tears of joy pricked the corners of my eyes and covered my mouth with my hands.

"Yes!" I cried, falling into his arms.

I shared a long passionate kiss with my now fiancé on the roof of KFC.

And we lived happily ever after<3
