Your POV:
*during middle school*
"Hey, Y/N!" called Izuku, running up to me.
I waved at him, but didn't say anything.
"What's wrong?" he asked with concern.
The truth was, I gad just gotten braces and was afraid he would think I was ugly. I had two options - I could tell him and he would know about my braces, or I could say nothing and he would definitely know something was wrong.
Or there was option three:
"Nothing." I said, carefully to cover my teeth with my lips. I probably looked like a toothless grandma...
"You can tell me, Y/N! I won't make fun of you!" smiled Izuku.
While that did make me feel better, I couldn't help but notice how perfect his teeth were. Unlike mine...
I sighed and gave him a small smile, which revealed my f/c braces.
"Wow, Y/N, those look great on you!" complemented Izuku.
"You really think so?" I asked hopefully.
"Of course!" he grinned.
(He's too precious for this world 😭💞)
"Guys, look at L/N! She had to get braces 'cause her teeth were so crooked! Hah! Ugly nerd!" called a bully, coming up from behind Izuku.
Well, there goes my self confidence.
"Wait really!? Her teeth were that bad?"
My heart dropped as I recognised the voice. Izuku quickly stepped out if the way as the strongest, and meanest, boy in our grade walked up to me.
"W-what do you want, Bakugo?" I said nervously, taking a step away from him.
"Not only are you weak, but you couldn't even take care of your teeth so now you have to wear those ugly braces. Tsk, what a loser!" said Bakugo loudly as his hench men laughed stupidly.
Tears brimmed in my eyes.
I turned and started running away from him. I vaguely heard Izuku calling my name, but I didn't look back.
Bakugo's words and the bullies' laughter was echoing in my head.
I didn't stop running until I got home, tears streaming down my face.

I walked through the halls of UA, excited to finally be reunited with my best friend.
After enduring several weeks of bullying, mainly from Bakugo, I had moved to a different middle school.
There things had been better, but I rarely got to see Izuku.
So when I heard we'd both been accepted into our dream school, and in the same class nonetheless, I'd been overjoyed to say the least.
I'd grown stronger since middle school, training every day after school with my quirk. And although I still had to wear braces, I wasn't afraid of bullies anymore.
Soon I found the insanely large door to class 1-a. Holding my breath in anticipation, I opened it and walked into my new classroom.
"Y/N!"
"Izuku!"
Not bothering to even look around at my new classmates, I ran up to Izuku and wrapped him up in a tight hug.
After a minute, we broke apart.
"I'm so glad we both got into the hero course!" I gushed "I was so happy when I heard you got in! How did you even manage to do it without a quirk? So impressive!"
"Oh, um... w-well-" stuttered Izuku, seemingly overwhelmed by my little rant.
"Tch. Not only did that quirkless looser manage to get in, but this Busu (japanese insult meaning 'ugly') did as well."
My face paled as I heard his familiar voice. The one that had tormented and bullied me until I had to move schools.
I heard a few gasps from my new fellow classmates at the name Bakugo had called me, but I payed them no mind. I was used to it by now, but unlike during middle school, I wasn't just going to let Bakugo kick me around.
I turned around to face him, determined to stand up for myself.
I couldn't exactly insult him back about his appearance, because, frankly, he was handsome as hell.
"Shut up, Bakugo, it's incredible that Izuku got in through hard work and skill, and I'm not the weakling I was in middle school either. So I suggest you shut your foul mouth before I punch you in the face." I spat.
"At least my face doesn't hurt people's eyes when they look at it." taunted Bakugo, clearly unafraid.
Big mistake on his part.
In the blink of an eye, I drew my fist back and punched him hard in the jaw.
He stumbled back, shocked. He rubbed his bruising jaw before scowling and turning towards me.
"You're gonna pay for that!" he screamed, charging at me.
Before I could react, Bakugo was pulled back, restrained by some sort of long grey scarf.
"That's enough." came a tired voice.
I looked behind the raging and struggling Bakugo to see a man with long black hair using a capture scarf to hold back Bakugo. The weapon unwrapped itself from around Bakugo once the boy had somewhat calmed down.
"Someone tell me what happened." demanded the tired man, who I could only assume was our new teacher.
"This Busu freaking punched me in the face!" yelled Bakugo, pointing at me.
"What, you're upset 'cause you got hit by a girl?" I teased quietly.
"I'm gonna kill you!" screamed Bakugo, lunging at me, only to be restrained again by the teacher's scarf.
"I don't blame her." he muttered "Detention for both of you and count yourselves lucky that I haven't expelled you yet. Now, everyone, take your seats."
I couldn't stop myself from sending Bakugo a triumphant smirk as I walked past him to sit next to Izuku.

The next few months went by in a sort of rivalry between me and Bakugo. With his wierd obsession with being better than everyone else and my determination to get back at him for bullying me, we found ourselves always trying to one-up each other.
We always insisted on being each other's sparring partners in class and were constantly competing to see who could get higher test scores.
Most of the time, we tied. I trained and trained, until I'd become top of the class. Well, one if the two top students. Yep, me and Bakugo had gotten so competitive that we'd reached and tied for the very top.
Aside from that, we regularly insulted each other. But I, unlike him, wasn't a mean person to anybody except him, so I made a lot of new friends in class 1-a.
But there came a time where I feel like he just... gave up.
He stopped insulting me and demanding that I fight with him.
It was so unlike him that I almost became concerned. Almost.
"Get out of my way." growled Bakugo, bumping his shoulder into mine as he passed.
"Gladly." I muttered.
"What did you say!?"
I sighed. He's such a baka I thought.
"Nothing I wouldn't say to your face." I replied simply.
"Whatever, fence-face." he sneered, continuing his walk down the hall.
Huh, 'fence-face', that's new.
I ignored what he had said as I rolled my eyes and kept walking towards the classroom.
He hadn't used his usual, and much more hurtful, insult of 'Busu', which was strange.
Most people wouldn't have noticed his slight change of behavior, like not exploding my face off for 'being in his way' but you know what they say: No one knows you better than your enemy (*nobody says that)
Bakugo was definitely acting differently and I was determined to find out why.
