Bakugo x reader
I'm kind of running out of characters so I'm making a sixth oneshot with Bakugo. This one was inspired by the cover. Enjoy!

Your POV:
"Hey, Deku! Mind if I borrow that notebook of yours for a minute?" said Bakugo, smiling evilly and ripping the book out of Izuku's hands.
"That wasn't very plus ultra of you, Boom Boom boy." I said angrily, using my telekinesis quirk to take back my best friend's notebook.
"What did you just call me!?"
I rolled my eyes, before grabbing Izuku's arm and dragging him away from the bully.
"Come one, Izuku. He's just jealous that you have a real friend and all he's got are goonies that follow him around out of fear."
"Oi, I'm not done with you, Deku!" yelled Bakugo, ignoring what I had said. I was strong enough that he knew talking back to me directly might end badly for him.
I whispered something in Izuku's ear and he turned around to bravely face Bakugo, saying:
"Yeah, well I'm done with you!"
"Nice." I said quietly to my friend.
"You can't even come up with your own comebacks, Deku!? Without Y/N, you're useless! You can't do anything by yourself! You don't even have a freaking quirk!" yelled Bakugo "Why don't you just take a swan dive off a roof and pray for a quirk in your next life!?"
I gasped. Bakugo had always bullied Izuku and been mean to him since they were little, but telling him to commit suicide was too far.
"Why don't you follow your own advice, Bakugo!" I shouted back. I practically dragged Izuku away, leaving Bakugo far behind us.
"You shouldn't have said that, Y/N!" said Izuku nervously.
"He told you to kill yourself!! How could I not say anything!! It took all of my power NOT to strangle him right then and there!" I seethed.
Imagine her holding Bakugo in a force choke hold lol
Izuku remained silent during my little rant. He almost looked scared- he had never seen me this angry before.
"No matter what, don't let what he said get to your head." I finished "It's better to be quirkless than to be like him. And I'm always here for you, you know? If he ever says something like that again, come straight to me, got it?"
"Ok..." Izuku nodded "Just promise me you won't actually murder him?"
"..."
"Y/N!"
"Fine, I promise." I grumbled. Izuku smiled, brighter than the sun itself, and we started walking home together.

*first day at UA*
Today I was walking to school with Izuku just like any other day, except this time, we were going to UA High.
I had been overjoyed when I got the acceptance letter, even more so when Izuku got it. I had no idea how a quirkless kid managed to pass the practical exam, but he did and now we get to become heroes together.
"You're in class 1-a right?" he asked anxiously for the dozenth time.
"Yes, don't worry." I replied patiently.
We walked up to the large door with the sign '1-A' hanging above it.
"You ready?" I asked him excitedly.
He nodded and we pushed the door open together. As I stood in the doorway, gazing at our new class, my heart dropped.
Sitting with his feet on the desk in front of him, yelling at a boy with blue hair and glasses, was Bakugo.
How could I have not seen him or his explosions during the exam? I had heard a rumour that he was applying for UA but hadn't bothered to find out if it was true. Just my luck that me and Izuku have to be in the same class as him.
Bakugo rolled his eyes as he yelled at the boy, then noticed me and Izuku and abruptly stopped speaking.
"Come on, Izuku, let's find out spots." I said to him. He nodded nervously, eyes never leaving his childhood bully as he followed me to a pair of empty seats.
It wasn't long before Bakugo trudged over to his desk and slammed his palms angrily on it.
"How did a quirkless loser like you get into UA!?" he demanded.
"Um..."
"How did such an idiotic hothead like you get into UA?" I asked.
"I'm freaking strong, that's how!! Now answer my question, Deku!"
"I..."
"Take your seats, everyone!" called the teacher.
Whew, saved by the... yellow caterpillar.
UA is weird.
Our teacher, Mr Aizawa, emerged from his yellow sleeping bag. He told everyone to go outside for a 'quirk assessment test'.
I glanced nervously at Izuku on my way out, wondering how he would pass it without a quirk.
~•~❤️~•~
I watched nervously from the sidelines as Izuku tried to throw the soft ball. As I expected, it didn't go very far. Izuku, however, seemed shocked at how little he had thrown it.
Him and Aizawa sensei exchanged a few words I couldn't hear and he threw it again. This time the ball flew hundreds of feet.
I watched, utterly confused, as Aizawa showed us his score- it was even higher than Bakugo's! But how is that even possible!?
I saw that Izuku's finger was broken and discolored. How had he done that? Did he have a quirk? Was he using some kind of hidden support item?
Questions plagued my mind for the whole test. I refrained from interrogating Izuku right then and there. I had no idea what was going on, but one thing was for sure- me and Izuku were going to have one hell of a talk later.
Soon the quirk assessment test ended. Aizawa had told us that whoever scores last would be expelled. I scanned the ranks to see where I was- seventh place. I searched for Izuku's name too. My heart rate started to steadily increase as my eyes traveled down the list of names.
Izuku Midoriya - last place.
"Oh, I was lying about the expulsion thing." said Mr Aizawa.
The class sighed in relief.
"Of course he was!" said a girl with a black ponytail "I thought it was obvious. He only said that so that everyone tried their best. Sorry, I probably should have said something."
"Izuku!" I shouted as soon as the class was dismissed.
He winced as he turned towards me, knowing what was coming.
"Have you had a quirk this whole time!?" yelled Bakugo, coming up beside me.
"That's what I want to know!" I said, for once in my life agreeing with Bakugo.
"I get that you wouldn't tell him but me!? Your best friend!?"
He looked down as if ashamed of himself.
"You have some explaining to do!" I put my hands on my hips and waited for his answer.
"Yeah, how can someone be quirkless in middle school and magically get one in high school!?" said Bakugo.
"It... manifested late?" he said as if it were a question.
Bakugo walked off, swearing at the top of his lungs. I sighed and turned back to Izuku.
"Look, we both know that's a lie. I understand if you're not ready to tell me where you got a quirk. Just promise me that you didn't get it by illegal means and you'll tell me when you're ready. Remember, you can always trust me."
"Thanks, Y/N. I promise." he smiled and I smiled back. We both dropped the matter for now and went to get changed out if our PE clothes.

A few days later, when I was getting ready to leave class, I was stopped by Bakugo.
"I need to talk to you." he hissed.
I rolled my eyes at him, but told Izuku not to wait for me. He looked nervously between me and Bakugo but didn't say anything. When me and Bakugo were the only ones left in the classroom, he said.
"Where did Deku get his quirk??"
"I wish I knew." I answered honestly.
"Tell me!! I know you know!! You're that stupid nerd's best friend or whatever."
"I'm just as surprised as you are that he didn't tell me! All I know is that he didn't do anything illegal and he was born quirkless." I said defensively.
Bakugo shook his head in frustration. It was weird, having this conversation with him almost as if we were friends. Almost like he hadn't bullied my best friend daily and almost as if I didn't hate his guts.
"Don't lie to me." he said threatening "I know you know."
"I told you, I don't! Drop it, Ba-"
I was cut off as Bakugo suddenly lifted me up by my collar. Our faces were inches apart.
"I'm warning you!" Bakugo said, palms sparking dangerously.
Forget what I said about having a conversation almost as if we were friends.
"Fine I'll tell you!" I said, raining my hands submissively.
"He got his quirk from..." I paused. Bakugo watched me, impatiently waiting for the answer.
"The supermarket."
Bakugo's fist came flying towards my face. I stopped it just in time, using my quirk.
"Look, I'm kind of frustrated that he didn't tell me too, ok?" I sighed, making my way towards the door.
"But it's his secret to keep. Granted, if I knew I wouldn't tell you, but I don't know, so drop it."
I walked out of the classroom, leaving Bakugo alone with his thoughts.

Bakugo's POV:
Weeks went by, and still I didn't know where stupid Deku got a quirk. I didn't know why it bothered me so much, but the quirkless kid I had grown up with getting a quirk out of nowhere made me angry at him for some reason.
And it didn't help that he was All Might's favorite or that he was friends with that stupid Y/N.
She's always laughing at his stupid jokes. And she's too strong. Almost as strong as me. The thought of her surpassing me makes me hate her even more.
Why does she always protect Deku?? What does she see in him?? Why am I always thinking about her??
I slammed my tray of food down harder than usual as I sat down at an empty cafeteria table. It wasn't long before the extras that called themselves 'The Bakusquad' sat down around me.
I didn't talk to any of them as I shovelled my spicy food into my mouth. I glanced over at Y/N, who was chatting with Round Face, Four Eyes and Deku. Then I mentally slapped myself for looking at her.
I kept my eyes on my food for the rest of our lunch break, determined not to think about Y/N or Deku.

Your POV:
The last bell of the day rang and I stood up to leave. As I was waiting for Izuku to pack his bag, he said:
"Y/N, can I talk to you outside? I need to tell you something..."
Was this it? Was he finally going to come clean about his quirk?
"Sure thing!" I smiled.
We walked out of the classroom together. As soon as we were outside, he pulled me to a more secluded area and said:
"I can't give you all the details, but I got my quirk from someone else. It happened a few months ago."
"Can I know who?" I asked, happy that he finally trusted me enough to tell me this.
"I think so, just... promise you won't tell anyone ok?" he said nervously.
I nodded and he whispered it in my ear, despite no one being around.
"All Might."
My eyes widened slightly and I nodded again.
"Thank you for telling me. I won't ask for details but it means a lot that you're trusting me with this information."
As we left our little hiding place, a saw a flash of ash blonde passing by.
"You go on without me. I, uh, forgot my phone in the classroom." I told Izuku, trying to hide the anger that was building up inside me.
He nodded and kept walking, while I went to go find the eavesdropper.

Bakugo's POV:
Deku whispered the name of the person who gave him his quirk in Y/N's ear so I couldn't hear who it was.
But at least now I knew that he got it from someone else. They walked out from around the corner and I quietly ran the other way. The last thing I needed was Y/N finding out that I had listened in on that conversation.
I was sure I had managed to get away without either of them noticing, when I turned around and came face to face with Y/N.
I almost shouted in shock as she grabbed me by the collar and yelled:
"What were you thinking!? That was a private conversation, idiot!!"
She lifted her hand as if to slap me and I instinctively winced, but instead she closed her fist forcefully and slowly dropped her hand.
"Well? What do you have to say for yourself!?"
For some reason I because uncomfortably aware of how close our faces were. And for some reason that made my face feel slightly warmer. What was happening to me??
I tried to pry her hand off of my shirt collar but she was too strong.
"I just wanted to know where stupid Deku got his quirk!" I shouted back.
"That's no reason to spy on us!"
She sighed and her expression calmed ever so slightly.
For some reason, I noticed how beautiful she looked when she was angry.
"Whatever." she finally let me go.
She turned around without another word and left, leaving me to ponder everything that had just happened.
I now knew that Deku did get his quirk from someone else, but I didn't know who.
I also knew that Y/N made me feel different than any other girl ever had.
