Personality: Ryoko is basically a big bundle of joy and light. She's very playful and usually seen as a happy girl regardless of her upbringing by her parents. She is awfully outspoken, not scared to say her opinion or whatever could be on her mind; even if it may come off as inappropriate. When she's not being her usual cheerful self, you can find her being a leader like figure for her friends and or allies by coming up with plans to take down her foes. Because of her childish ways, she has found herself not getting many friends. But that's not all...

Ryoko possesses a deadly anger within her. If she is not careful with how she bursts of emotion, she can be capable of hurting a lot of people around her. When angered, there is hardly anything that can stop her in her tracks. Same goes for when she is saddened. Don't worry though. She's really the sweetest girl you will ever meet. She's just a little misunderstood.

Quirk + Description: Starlight- One of the most user-dangerous quirks. She is the embodiment of a star. She has the ability to turn her whole body into a burning ball of gas strong enough to burn whatever lays before her. She can convert her body into a huge ball of light, illuminating the area around her, which can make some people say that she is a living torch. She is also swift on her feet, making her able to maneuver places almost similar to the speed of light.

Pros/Strengths: Ryoko has been told that one of her biggest strengths is her optimism. At least when she is not pissed off. She also has a knack for comforting people even if she could be someone who needs comforting more than others.

Cons/Weaknesses: It can be said at first glance that Ryoko is overpowered. She is anything BUT that. Stars can burn out, explode or simply die. If she uses her quirk for more than two hours, her life will begin to deplete. Sometimes signs of death can be found ranging from gasping for air to exploding. To add, she is highly dangerous to touch when she is using her quirk, so be careful with physical activity.

Likes: Ryoko really enjoys action movies. If you ever are to hang out with her at her home, she will automatically suggest that you guys check out a movie full of explosions and violence. When she's not obsessing over fictional characters, you can also find her liking cake, reading books, the solar system, music, going shopping and practicing the control of her quirk.

Dislikes: Ryoko doesn't hate anything more than someone bringing up her past. If someone asks her about her childhood or how she was before UA Academy, she will probably punch them in the face. It's just. Too much for her. She also dislikes cowardly actions, being called weak, being misunderstood, her father sometimes, Todoroki (Just because he reminds her of herself) and crickets.

Distinct Attacks: Shooting Star- A general technique for Ryoko. It is where she jumps into the air to develop her quirk about 25% percent before falling to the ground below to release a fiery shock wave of her power.

Meteor Shower- This is more of a defensive move than an offensive attack. With this move, Ryoko uses her quirk to start spinning her body at a high rate of speed. The particles of her body create small fireballs that go in all directions. It is very effective as an escape route.

Eta Carinae- Her final resort. She has never used this technique, but she has told herself that if things hit the fan, she will. This attack allows her to use 100% of her power to becoming an actual star. It takes a while for her to store up energy, but after she does she will then explode near her enemy, destroying everything around her. Including herself.

Backstory: Ryoko was born as a quirkless child. This caused her to be homeschooled by her parents at home. It was weird because both her mother and father had quirks; her mother having powers of a star and her father having a quirk that can absorb color (as lame as it sounds, can be useful.) For a while, her parents were okay with her being. Different. But eventually it had broke their hearts to see their child be isolated from society. So they decided to blacklist a scientist and. Let's just say everything that could go wrong went wrong.

Eventually, after hard labor and multiple near death experiences, Ryoko was able to gain her mother's quirk to a degree. She started to go to school where she could make friends and act like she was just an everyday student with an average quirk. After graduating from middle school, her and two other students were rewarded enrollment into UA Academy. Now she attends the following school in hopes of becoming either a superhero or a side kick.

Family: Ms. Shi- Ms. Shi is Ryoko's mother. The two of them have an average relationship between mother and daughter. They consider each other sometimes their best friend, helping one another out whenever they need assistance. Yes, they can argue with one another over stupid things. Yes, they can get on each others' nerves and embarrass one another. But there's still love there regardless.

Mr. Shi- Ryoko and her father have what many would say a rocky relationship. Let's just say that Ryoko would have never had her quirk if it wasn't for his input. It's like a metronome. It has its highs and lows in a pattern, making it hard to tell if she loves him or not. Doesn't matter though. That is her father.

Friends: 

Katsuki Bakugou

Bakugou and Ryoko can be considered best friends. To a degree. The only reason Bakugou hangs out with her is because she was the only one who can 'defeat' him at video games. It started as pure hatred before it became an acquaintance like relationship. Don't get them wrong though, when the other needs assistance, they will wait no time to go save the other. Besides, they are sparring partners so they have no choice.

Eijiro Kirishima

Any friend of Bakugou's is a friend of Eijiro's. So of course Kirishima and Ryoko would be great friends. They are more friendly to one another than her and the angry blonde. Usually you can find him, Ryoko and Mina hanging out with one another after school. Though he joked that he trusts the female with his life, it might be true.

Mina Ashido

Mina and Ryoko are friends. They are not as tight as Eijiro and Bakugou, but they don't exactly hate each other. When their partners are absent in class or on the battlefield, they will waste no time to team up and take down their enemies.

Rivals:

Izuku Midoriya

Midoriya is a different story. Him and Ryoko are called friendly rivals in the class. Whether Bakugou likes it or not, Midoriya and Ryoko can be considered friends based on how they encourage each other. That being said, the female mainly sees Midoriya as a rival because he is the only person she knows who also wasn't born with a quirk. So she only challenges him to be better than her so they can both show the world that even if you are ordinary, you can still achieve your goals.

Ochaco Uraraka

Ryoko has the biggest crush on Uraraka. She finds her being one of the cutest females she has ever met. She remembers when she first met her she immediately fell head over heels for her. The two of them have talked here and there, but never about anything important or genuine. She hopes that in the future something could happen to where she cares about her just as much as she does.

Wild. Creative. Observant. Three traits both Mei and Ryoko have in common that has caused the three of them to immediately click. They are kind of friends with a weird connection. Whenever Mei needs to test something, she will quickly go to Ryoko for the following. Yeah, they get touchy. And yeah. Things happen. But nothing has been official. Ryoko hopes she gets the courage to tell Mei that she wants to be a couple.
