The kau lid launches its electric attack towards Bably, and he, with his agility that belies his size, dodges the projectile by propelling himself to one side, but not before receiving part of the friction of the same, which makes part of his scales fly off.

Growling in pain, he turns towards the kau lid and throws a quick fireball. The kau lid receives it full force, being too slow to dodge it, but only manages to retreat a couple of steps, with some flames sticking to its rocky body, looking with disgust at the braxis.

Meanwhile, the other dragon pulls the maiíb away from the kau lid of the confrontation, leaving him more to the center of the park, where it is “safer”, making it clear to him not to intervene and to stay safe, to later return to where the kau lid and the braxis are.

With them, the braxis tears off some of his scales and throws them towards the kau lid.

The latter simply raises its hand to cover its face, in doing so, one of the scales digs into its hand, piercing it and almost reaching its other glass eye.  It lowers its hand and looks at the rest of its body, seeing that the other scales have stuck in the crystal of its chest and knees, it raises its gaze to the braxis, looking at him with expressionless rage.

It begins to walk towards Bably, although with clumsy and slow steps due to its limited mobility, it tries to prepare another electric attack, despite this, only small sparks come out of its hand and nothing else, it looks at its chest again, seeing that the lighting of the crystal of its chest is extinguished.

And before the kau lid knew it, the female dragon charges at it, covering it in flames, as she prepares to crush it.

Though the kau lid, unfazed by the assault, stops the dragon's advance by severely grabbing the claw with which she was going to crush it. She looks at it stupefied, incredulous as the kau lid not only rivals her strength, but surpasses it, firmly holding her claw, before pulling her towards it, and with the other giving her a severe punch in the face, causing her to fly a couple of meters.

Taking advantage of the opportunity, Bably dangerously approaches the kau lid, and before the kau lid realized it, the claws severely dig into its head, followed by crushing it, with difficulty, but crushed nonetheless.

Having killed the lithoid, the corpse of the kau lid falls dry to the ground, causing a tremor due to the weight.

The respite of the moment makes Bably realize that the babies protected by one of his wings are crying, fearfully hugging the braxis, so he tries to calm them with his resonant purr, while he looks around.

He can see how the kau lid exterminate everything in their path, hunting down the mamono and disgustingly crushing the maiíb, without excluding anyone, killing everyone equally.

He can also see how a large group of militia from the city approaches the conflict zone, with a couple of tanks with them, however, they are surprised by the ambush of a pair of camouflaged kau lid, who blow everyone to pieces with their powerful electrical attacks, and of the few that survive, being badly wounded, are cruelly torn to pieces by them.

Without much to do, with great helplessness, Bably turns to look at the dragon.

She rises from the ground, looking around in shock and disgust, quickly replaced by a rage that consumes her.

And before he knows it, a large flame covers the dragon's body, which almost instantly grows to 15 meters in height.

The flames disappear as the dragon roars loudly, now showing herself to be a real dragon, so, although he would never admit it, Bably looks in wonder at the true form of his species.

… And now that he notices it, this mamono's scales are crimson! Which, within the ancient society of the braxis, meant that they belonged to the noble bloodline, so a greater admiration and secret respect grows towards her.

The braxis sees how the dragon attracts the attention of many kau lid, who without hesitating a second more go towards her, making the ground tremble strongly with their trots.

She responds with spits of fire, while sending some kau lid flying with her claws.

However, soon the kau lid changed tactics, with some of them attacking her from a distance with their electric attacks, destroying and violently making scales and parts of the large body of the dragon fly.

She roars both in pain and anger, so she spits a large flame of fire at them, to a certain extent, this hardly affects the kau lid, continuing with their assault.

The kau lid that decided to go hand to hand severely hit the dragon, she in response attacks them with her enormous claws, but the rivalry of forces of the kau lid does not disappear, causing them to counterattack and manage to stagger the giant.

– Damn it, Bably, you damn winged lizard, stop drooling, do something! – Eliz shouts, frustrated by Bably's state and how the situation seems to be getting worse.

Bably, a little stupefied by the dragon's appearance, wakes up, sees the kau lid attacking from a distance and quickly goes towards them.

Bably quickly eliminates them before they notice, going straight for the head, either crushing them with his claw or piercing them with his scales.

To a certain extent, when he eliminates the last one, without warning, something severely grabs his arm, throwing him to the ground severely, followed by dragging him.

Bably, growling in pain, gets up from the ground with difficulty, breathing heavily as he looks around, seeing many corpses of all kinds, while the dragon fights against the remaining kau lid that came towards them.

He feels his leg bend a little, so he lowers his head to look at it, seeing how his knee had been pierced, thick threads of his blood coming out.

– Hey, Bably, are you okay? – Eliz asks, frowning in concern as she looks at Bably.

– Yes, I'm perfectly fine, I'm just doing a meditation pose – Bably answers sarcastically, looking up and glancing sideways in irritation.

Before Eliz could make any comment, they hear a powerful roar coming from the dragon, so they both look in its direction.  Watching as the flames cover the body of the titanic dragon, returning to her humanoid form, with many wounds and quite tired, she falls to her knees, moaning in pain and exhaustion.

She raises her head, seeing how a kau lid is in front of her, looking at the mamono with contempt, while preparing an electric attack in its hand. She watches helplessly as they are going to kill her, unable to move much, other than trying to get up, only to fall again.

Despite this, before the kau lid directed its attack, a scale crosses its head, killing it instantly and canceling its attack, with its corpse falling to the ground.

Surprised, the crimson dragon turns her head towards the origin of her savior, it is Bably, who approaches her running, until he reaches her and is in front of her.

Both of them stare in silence, not knowing what to say to the other, while Eliz looks sideways at her surroundings with anxiety.

– Thank you – The crimson-scaled dragon thanks her as she nods her head slightly.

Bably doesn't respond, instead, he stares at her for a while longer, before spitting out a flame of his fire, catching both the dragon and Eliz by surprise.

However, contrary to what they would think would happen, after the braxis stops spitting fire, the green flames of the same completely heal the dragon's wounds, leaving both the living head and her stupefied.

– How…? – Eliz questions, incredulous at what she is seeing.

Bably feels a horrible chill running through his spine, so he turns to look back, seeing how a large group of kau lids were preparing to launch electric attacks towards them from a long distance.

Opening his eyes in surprise, Bably quickly, but carefully, places the babies in the crimson dragon's arms, who instinctively hugs them and shelters them under her wings. And before he realizes it, Bably turns around and prepares to grab his scales to counterattack them.

– Bably, take caaAAAAAREEEE OOOOF IIIIIT! – Eliz warns, before screaming and being pulled away from Bably's head.

However, the braxis sees that it will not have time to return fire to the lithoids, so his body reacts by throwing Eliz towards the dragon behind him.

Bably frowns, glancing at Eliz in surprise, not quite understanding what happened to him to make him act like that.

But an attack that blows off part of his scales makes him wake up, proceeding to cover himself with his arms and wings before the imminent attack.

And in a second more, multiple attacks of electricity are directed at the braxis, destroying his scales in pieces, as well as parts of his body, starting with the wings.

The impacts of the electric attacks become more and more powerful, forcing the braxis to take a couple of steps back, while he feels how most of his wings have already been damaged, now with his arms receiving most of the impacts. He can feel how the scales on his abdomen and legs are almost disappearing, now feeling great pain as his flesh is torn away, with the desperate attempt to enter inside him.

Despite this, with a roar between pain and courage, he stands firm, refusing to retreat further.

– Bablyyy! – Eliz screams in horror, seeing how some of the bones of the braxis were beginning to be noticed.

And after a few more seconds, the relentless assault of the kau lid stopped, finally giving the braxis a break. However, it was far from stable.

The flesh of the abdomen, legs and arms were almost gone, leaving the bones that were partly destroyed by the attacks visible, also showing most of the organs of the life dragon that, however, were firmly held inside, refusing to come off. Bably's head was fine for the most part, with only part of the molar having been destroyed, showing the teeth.

Bably, who was already shivering furiously, making a titanic effort to stay standing, slowly lowers his arms, so he can see ahead, while panting hard, trying to oxygenate himself as best as possible, since his lungs were also exposed.

Bably sees how the kau lid lower their arms, apparently exhausted from spending so much on their attack, despite maintaining their stoic looks and expressions.

One of them grabs the wheel of a nearby vehicle, tearing it off the car, then throwing it with brutal force towards the braxis.

He, without much to do, receives the impact full on the face, sending him flying a few feet, before finally falling to the ground.

He hears Eliz's desperate cry, he knows she is shouting his name, but he is too stunned and weak to clearly capture her words.

The only thing he captures is the sky, a sunset that little by little is enveloped in a nightfall.  Bably feels himself choking on his blood as he appreciates the sight, coughing as a result, but not managing to get it out completely.

But something helps him, someone stabilizes him, enough for him to get the coagulated blood out. He looks sideways, and sees that it is the red-scaled dragon, with a look as stupefied as it is terrified, not knowing if it is because of the situation of the environment or his state, however, this did not matter to him.

She and the living head speak to him, desperate, but he does not understand them, he does not understand what the muffled babbling that comes out of their lips is saying, so he directs his attention elsewhere.

He observes how the kau lid are preparing for a second charge, with the electric power flowing through their hands, pointing both at him and at those next to him.

And before they could even fire, one of them is shot down at a distance, with dull war cries, so the lithoids are forced to shift their attention to their new attackers.

The new ones are a squad of mamono dragons, clad in radiant armor that blatantly leaves parts of their bodies exposed, with giant weapons ranging from swords, axes, spears, shields and hammers, to enormous ranged weapons that are larger than the average human, roaring with each projectile fired.

As the new conflict escalates, a pair of them take off towards Bably and company, carrying on their backs a white centaur with a horn on her head, and two of those mamono ninja who, if he remember correctly, were called kunoichi.

As they approached him, he couldn't help but feel the heaviness of his eyes, closing them little by little, and even though he felt slight jolts from the crimson dragon, apparently trying to keep him awake, he simply couldn't, he felt the arms of tiredness embrace him like a possessive lover, a comforting but dangerous embrace.

… He simply… couldn't take it anymore.
