As a half-Butterfly, half-Lucitor, Bridgette inherited a unique set of magical abilities. She had pyrokinesis, the standard magical abilities of the butterfly family, and other attributes. Her wings were symbols of her defiance against constraints as she freely moves between Mewni, the underworld and beyond, earning her the title "the Untamed." Many feared her untamed strength, yet her compassion that was passed down from her mother endeared her to her people and helped her become a beloved yet formidable queen.

Bridgette was raised in the grand halls of Butterfly Castle, surrounded by her mother's legacy of compassion and wisdom. Her mother's curse, the result of an errant spell involving dark magic, created a nightly ritual in which Odette would transform into a swan as dusk fell. For young Bridgette, this became a bittersweet nightly reminder of the delicate balance of magic in her family. Her father Thorneus Lucitor, introduced her to the traditions of the Underworld. Unlike his fearsome predecessors, Thorneus sought unity and peace between his kind and the surface world. Bridgette often visited her father's fiery domain, learning about the strength, loyalty, and resilience of her Lucitor heritage. These visits nurtured her confidence and taught her to embrace her duality. 

At the age of 14, Bridgette was presented with the Butterfly family wand, a relic that symbolized her magical inheritance. During the ceremony, her wand's form revealed her unique magical nature: a silver scythe with an amethyst blade. This duality became a defining theme in her life as she grew into her role as a princess of Mewni. As Bridgette matured, she became a mediator between the magical denizens of Mewni and the creatures of the Underworld. Her ability to connect with both sides—thanks to her parentage—brought about a period of unprecedented peace. She worked tirelessly to advocate for equality and understanding, dispelling centuries-old prejudices between the two realms.

At age 25 she married her childhood friend Matthew Graveskeep and ascended to the throne. At age 30 she gave birth to their daughter Lyric. She made no spells of her own. Bridgette lost her life fighting a monster at the age of 40.
