Prince Basil was born in the vibrant kingdom of Mewni to King Gordon and Queen Cassiopeia. His birth as a male came with an unexpected burden in a realm where royal lineage dictated that only queens could rule and wield the powerful royal wand. This societal belief overshadowed his achievements and cast a shadow over his potential.

 Growing up in the royal court, Basil often found himself underestimated by nobles and commoners alike. Many dismissed him as an unworthy heir, believing that his magic would be weaker than that of a female counterpart. Many even pressured his mother to try for another baby in hopes that it would be a girl but she refused. The prevailing notion that only a queen could bring forth true power made it difficult for him to earn the respect he desired. Despite his elegant demeanor and charming personality, he frequently felt the sting of discrimination, as his worth was often compared unfavorably to that of his female relatives and peers. 

 Determined to prove himself, Basil devoted himself to mastering magic. He trained tirelessly, honing his skills in spellcasting and learning the intricacies of Mewni's magical traditions. While his early attempts were met with skepticism, he quickly showcased his abilities, dazzling those around him with his talent. His signature style combined creativity and precision, allowing him to wield magic in ways that surprised even his harshest critics.

 As Basil matured, his beauty became legendary throughout Mewni(though people still saw him as an unproper heir). Females from all walks of life were entranced by his handsome features, leading to widespread adoration that sometimes overshadowed his actual accomplishments. Many sought his favor, but Basil remained focused on his goal: to show that his worth went beyond his physical appearance. While his charm opened doors, he used his influence wisely, advocating for causes that sought to challenge the rigid gender norms of Mewni society. 

Despite all this he rose to the throne at the age of 18 and helped improve the royal Mewman guard as well as the livelihoods of the villagers. Though he had many suitors he declared his love to a farmer's daughter named Rita and together they had a daughter named Therese. Basil made no spells of his own and instead preferred to use his mother and grandmother's spells. He died at age 53 from unknown circumstances.
