Lei woke up that night to find them gone. His friends have gone home and his sister was no where to be found. He felt the first upwelling of sickness in him as he frantically looked about. Finallr he vomited in the garbage can that was next to the bed.

"Not now...please Not now." he thought. His sister came back into the room just as he finished vomiting. He was very I'll and that frightened her, but this had become normal. She was wondering if she will ever see her brother we'll again.  She was starting to loose hope. She walked up to his bedside and sat down in a chair next to the bed.

"I'm scared Shang-Yu, my stomach is on fire and I can barely breath."  Lei said looking at his little sister as a nurse put oxygen on him so he can breathe better.

"I'm scared too. I'm scared to see you in so much pain and so weak. You've always been my strong big brother." she replied very worried about him as tears threaten to fall from her eyes.

"I'm really tired. My whole body is weak and tired." He replied tiredly.

"Then rest brother, I'll be here." she replied as he fell asleep. He ended up the next day not able to move at all. He was in a weak and sorry state. He was weak, too weak to move any part of his body.  There was a IV hooked up to him giving him fluids.  He was scared for himself at this point. He was beginning to wonder whether or not he'll make it through.

"I am going to survive this,"  he thought as he laid there, "I have to try and hold on to my hope." After the next couple of days, the doctor came to give him the bed news. It turned out that they couldn't do anything more then they already have. They discarded him. He was scared to death of what his life would take him. He decided to go to his friend's place to give them the bed news.

'"Guys, I have some bad news." he began once they sat down in the living room, "They can't do anything else for me. They told me not to go back to the hospital. I don't know what to do."  The news shocked everyone, it even made Shancai cry. What did he mean they couldn't do anything else?

"Lei I wanted so much more time as friends, but now I feel like time is running out." Shancai sobbed as Lei went over to her and kneeled down in front of her with his classic expressionless look.

"I don't know how but I'll try and survive this," he began taking her hand into his, "but I need you guys around me. I need support. Please don't cry Shancai, like i said I'll try and survive."

"I can't help it Lei, I mean you're dying." she sobbed hugging her friend.

"I know but we hate it when you cry." he replied as the other three agreed. Ah-Si hugged his wife as soon as Lei let his hug go of her.
He spent what little time he could socializing with his friends. But soon he felt weak. Stricken by a fever he felt sick. Concerned about his friend, Ah-Si allowed him to say as he helped him to the guest room. Seeing him like this, he wanted to distract him from his fever and pain by talking to him.

"This reminds me of the good times." Lei replied looking at him with a pained expression

"Yeah, back when you use to free load off of me." Ah-Si replied chuckling at the memory.

"Easy Ah-Si that was a long time ago." Lei replied.

"Not in my mind dude." He replied smiling. Suddenly Lei felt the pain coming. It was weak at first, but it became too much to ignore as he gripped the blanket hard and he tried to keep a straight face, but it ended up in a grimace. As Ah-Si noticed it his smiled faded into a look of worry. Lei knew that his friends couldn't bare to see him suffer. He wouldn't let them.

"Lei are you ok?" Ah-Si asked looking at him with a worried look on his face.

"No....this pain is intense." Lei replied with a pained expression.

"It's ok dude, I'll go her your painkillers." Ah-Si replied getting up to go get them. He left to get Lei's painkillers and came back and handed them to him with a cup of water. He thanked his friend for helping him. After a while he was free of the pain. He decided to confront his father.
(a/n the scene I'm about to write is completely different from the video episode because it got blocked from YouTube because of the clips I used from Madam Chin) Once he got home he was suprised to see his grandmother there. After a brief conversation, he started to feel weak and she had to help him inside.

"Are you alright Lei? I heard you were sick, but I didn't expect it to be this bad." she replied looking at her grandson who seemed to be looking his balance and shaking a bit.

"Grams. I've taken ill and it's getting worse. I need to tell to dad." Lei replied looking at her.

"Listen your father is very busy right now," she began as he looked at her; "I've been having trouble explaining your condition to him."

"I need to talk to him. Its better if it came from me." he replied.

"Alright if you must." she replied. As they made their way to his father's office, he had trouble walking, he kept losing balance, so his grandmother held him up and helped him. Entering his father's office through the doors, He let go of his grandmother and limped towards his father.
(a/n There's the scene I had to change in the YouTube video. Ok now back to the story.)  His father seemed displeased at the sight of him. All he did was grimace.

"Father?" Lei asked as he walked towards his father as his father looked up to see his son.

"Lei what do you want? I thought I told you to get back to work." He said clearly surprised to see his son.

"No, I'm ill and it's time you accepted it." Lei replied looking at his father.

"You will run the family business or you will not see me again!" his father yelled.

"Father of you don't listed to me, you will regret it," Lei began getting annoyed that his father hasn't accepted it, "I'm ill and if you can't see that through all of your work, then what kind of a father are you?!"

"I said get back to work!" his father yelled clearly not listening

"No its getting worse and apparently you don't understand that!" Lei yelled, that last thing hit his father like a ton of bricks. Apparently his son wasn't lying "wait did He say its getting worse? Is he actually going to die?" He thought as Lei continued.

"I'm literally dying and you're begging me to go to work!" He was angry now as he left.

"Lei wait!" his father yelled for his son to come back. As Lei was leaving, the stress of the visit came upon him. The pain took over his body, soon he was gripping the railing of the steps ouside his parents house. He knew he needed to get home. He needed to get home and rest.

"Not again, this can't be happening," he thought as he tried to get to his car, but the pain was too intense; "Not now, I have enough to deal with. Please not now."
He hurried home as fast as he could. He got to the door just as he began to feel faint.  Soon he made it to his bedroom and fell asleep praying for the pain to end.
