Shivaay Singh Oberoi was a man with principles and sophistication. He was ideal for all irrespective of his age. His mastery in business, his unconditional devotion to family was always the talk of the town.
This is what the outer world thought of him. After the demise of his parents, he and his younger sister Priyanka were taken under wings raised by his Badi maa and baade papa, whom he adored just like his parents. He exclusively enclose himself from the world and fabricated his prosperity in front of his family members.
Then came Annika. Even though he miscalculated her at initial steps and tardily he had to run behind her for her admittance, his life was moving on a greased butter floor. He was happy and satisfied with the moves of life.
But life doesn't accept a peaceful existence so it had to create a massive barrier in front of him. He was taken by his love to his cousin brothers. And now he was behind the rustic bars of the jail.
His wife cried over to listen to the entire truth. He just noticed her, when none of the family members supported him she stood strong. Just like he was to his family.
He was remorseful for jeopardizing her life, firstly the forced marriage impacted her a lot. Second, when Mohit and his wife Nancy came over to their mansion as guests. He could not spend some private time with her, which she even didn't ask for. Thirdly, when they both had accepted their relationship and had started afresh in their life all this transpired.
He has been married to her for over one and half years. Nonetheless, she believed him more than his family members could. She accepted him to who he was, she loved just Shivaay, not the young industrialist Shivaay .S Oberoi.
She wasn't materialistic.
He was brought to the present when his wife caressed the dislocated junction of his shoulder and neck through the space between the iron bars. His left side of the cleavage bone was bitterly damaged. The injured region was healing but was bruised, layers of skin were removed, the metal piece through which he was shot had dislocated his bones and tissues, the spot had formed his modest skin into blackish and purple.
"Are they more important? Than me? Why can't you see beyond them? Your brothers are nothing but jerks" it aches his heart as she cried for him. She was nowhere into this yet agonized just like him.
Tears pricked from his eyes, as she cried out gripping the bars between them. An obstacle. Sensations ran through his body system. He felt suffocated with four damp walls, having a second thoughts on the act he executed for his brothers.
"Why can't you live for me?" Annika cried looking straight into his glassy eyes.
His eyes which were a delight to her were now filled with helplessness, regret, sorrow. His blue-green shades of eyes were filled with tears. She couldn't see anymore, her husband was hurting without his fault. His love for his brothers was choking him to loss.
She collapsed down holding the railing and looked up to meet his teary gazes. She cursed her fate for loving a selfless person, who never planned his life instead was busy resolving his brothers professional and personal issues.
Namit Khanna, his bodyguard from years reached and assisted Annika to sit reliving Shivaay.
"Khanna Ji, ask him to speak to our lawyer. He will listen to you, please. It's been eight months without." She held his huge palms and pleaded.
"I can't Khanna Ji. All he cares about is his brothers and sister, who didn't even give any interest to him" Khanna felt helpless.
His day would start with his boss's shouting and ends as the same. Now he couldn't handle witnessing his employer behind bars, without his fault regarding the case. His own family have filed a case. For the same family, he was behind the rustic bars away from his wife.
"I will speak to Adv. Aron Thomas" Shivaay whispered. He had done enough. He didn't even think twice before taking the extreme step for his family and especially for his brothers. But now he realised, his wife was stuck between them and struggling. He would wipe the pain.
Somewhere he knew that he never considered Annika as his family. She was crucial to him perhaps brotherly love for his sibling and cousins overpowered. After all his insults, his words, not considering her as his wife, she still chooses to stay beside him.
Now she was his only family.
.
Inspector Mukesh Kamble smiled drily seeing the supposed victim ready to give statements on the case. He had seen the Shivaay S Oberoi's social work and never thought that he would one day arrest him. He was always an inspiration to the younger generation.
"Inspector Kamble, this Mr Shivaay S Oberoi's bail applicant. Please grant it, as there is no reliable proof of the scandal." Adv. Thomas fished out some papers and handed them over to the inspector.
"And we will file cross-complaint" as the advocate spoke inspector turned his head in scepticism.
"On Rudra S. Oberoi for wrong accusations on my client. My client claims that the body found in the crime spot is not of Mr Tej S. Oberoi" Adv. Thomas formally smiled at him and moved out, while his junior lawyer helped the couple to file the case.
"Don't, move out of the city anytime soon. The court will summon when the hearing date is near" inspector Kamble advised Shivaay as he signed the documents.
"Just a few more hours. I will take you home. I will go with the advocate for documentation " She tiptoed and kissed his forehead, while he bobbed his head.
