Chapter 9
Jungkook had fucked up big time and he knew it too. Namjoon never lost his temper so for him to do exactly that was something Jungkook regretted with his whole heart. Namjoon had always been his place of comfort, the only person he could go to if everybody else hated him once again but now not only Yoongi had left him but also Namjoon had decided to take a step away from the rebellious ravenette. Now Jungkook was really alone without any real friends and that realisation came crashing down hard on the younger.
He had pushed away the only person that still meant the world to him by hurting that person's partner big time. Jungkook had pushed away Jin's good intentions like it was nothing. He had once again taken something for granted that wasn't granted at all. He knew Jin had to go out of his way for the younger and he knew Jin had given him special treatment but it all just hadn't mattered to Jungkook at all. The only thing on his mind had been the fact that he didn't want to be a part of that freakshow and thus he had backed out of the sessions the moment he could. Only problem was that he had never taken into consideration how much he hurted not only Jin with that decision but Namjoon too. He had willingly ignored the best intention of the older boys and even had the nerve to show up on their doorstep a few days later like nothing had happened.
The moment Namjoon had told him Jungkook needed to leave the younger had exactly done that. He knew he had no right to be in Namjoon's house anymore, he knew he had fucked up their friendship and thus he decided to accept Namjoon's request and leave the comforting place of his ex-best friend.
Small tears dripped on Jungkook's cheeks. The young ravenette had been walking for almost two hours now without having any clue where to go. He literally had no place to go to anymore except for his own house but he definitely didn't want to go there. If there was one person he didn't want to see right now it would be his father, that man had fucked up enough already and Jungkook just knew he couldn't handle anymore at this moment.
More tears dripped down his face and he softly wiped them away with the back of his hand. Jungkook didn't cry, he never did but he just couldn't hold them in anymore. In the span of two days he had lost both of his best friends and he had nowhere to go anymore. He had really fucked shit up this time and he was more than aware of that fact.
With tears still in his eyes Jungkook looked at his phone, he only had a few missed calls from his father but nothing more. He really had pushed his friends away this time. A deep sigh left Jungkook's mouth before his eyes fell on the time on his phone 10:30 AM.
Jungkook's eyes suddenly widened at the time and he came to the realisation that there was still one place he could go to if they accepted him back. If he wanted to make it up with Namjoon and Jin the only thing he needed to do was accept the help they had offered. Namjoon had said so himself. "I'm sorry Kook but I don't want you here anymore if you won't accept our help." So if Jungkook accepted their help he would be welcome again, there was still a chance he could save this friendship.
Only problem was that the help the elders had offered would start within thirty minutes and he had to make a run for it to be on time. Maybe, just maybe Jin would forgive him and would let him attend another meeting so he could show the two elders that he was willing to work for them. That Jungkook didn't want to lose them as friends and that he was prepared to do what they had asked of him if it meant getting his place and persons of comfort back.
Jungkook started running like his life depended on it, constantly checking his phone if he was still on time. With a heart that pounded like crazy inside his chest and an anxious feeling in his body Jungkook arrived five minutes too late at the hospital. He sucked in a few harsh breaths before he made his way towards the front door and the meeting room. It was now or never.
Jungkook slowly walked over to the door he remembered lead to the meeting room, his heart still pounding in his chest. Jungkook sucked in another breath of air before he slowly lifted his hand and knocked on the door.
A soft suffocating silence fell over the hallway before Jungkook could hear the soft voice of Jin saying that he could open the door.
With slight hesitation Jungkook pushed open the door. His eyes immediately crossed with Jin's eyes. The elder's eyes widened shortly before an angry look fell over them and within a few seconds he had marched out of the room. Jin shut the door behind him and turned with an angry look towards Jungkook. "What do you think you're doing here!?"
Jungkook shortly looked down before he averted his gaze back on the older man, tears swimming in his eyes while he fumbled with his hands. "I've talked to Namjoon and I came to apologise. I....I'm sorry Jin I messed up so bad."
A few tears started to leak out of Jungkook's eyes and a small look of sympathy fell over Jin's face. "Namjoon kicked me out of your house and he had every right to do so. It...it made me realise how bad I messed up and I wanted to attend the meetings again if that's okay with you."
Jin's face turned into one of pure shock at the younger's request, he had expected a lot from the boy in front of him but not this. "Kook,I....."
More tears leaked out of Jungkook's eyes and with a look of complete helplessness he looked at Jin. "Jin, please."
A soft sigh left Jin's mouth and he gave Jungkook a short nod. "On one condition, you can't back out anymore. Those people in there need stability Jungkook. You joining whenever you want isn't providing that to them. If you decide to attend now then it's till I say that you are dismissed from the sessions."
Jungkook instantly nodded at Jin's request and before he could register what was happening Jin had wrapped the ravenette within his arms. "Just give Joonie some time okay? He will come back around." Some more tears dripped out of Jungkook's eyes and he gave Jin a soft nod, silently thanking the elder for giving him another chance.
Jin slowly unwrapped his arms from Jungkook, wiping away the last stray tears before he mentioned Jungkook to follow him. The elder opened the door to the meeting room again and within an instant all eyes were on Jungkook. Some looked angry, others happy and some even concerned but Jungkook would deal with all of them if it meant getting Namjoon back in his life. Jin led Jungkook towards a desk in a corner of the room while he grabbed some things along the way. Before Jungkook knew it Jin had loaded him with some papers and some art tools while he mentioned the younger to follow him.
Jin walked towards the table that was already occupied by Taehyung and Yugyeom softly asking the two permission if Jungkook could sit with them. Both of them had instantly agreed with a huge smile on both of their faces. Of course Jin made him partner up with the only person he didn't want to be partnered up with but again he would suck it up and do what Jin had asked from him if it meant getting Namjoon back.
With a soft sigh Jungkook placed his tools down on the table in front of the other two boys. Both boys had made room for Jungkook and the ravenette sat down without looking at them. Jungkook heard how Jin asked Taehyung to explain to Jungkook what they were working on and a minute later Taehyung was all up in Jungkook's face explaining way too happy what he had to do.
Turned out Jungkook had to draw his emotions on the paper in front of him, it didn't matter how he did it and he was free to go as big as he liked. The only rule was that he needed to presentate it the next session, something Jungkook hated with his whole heart. But once again....for Namjoon.
Not much later Jungkook had started his painting while Yugyeom and Taehyung made small conversation with each other in front of him. Jungkook couldn't help but let his eyes wander towards their drawings. Yugyeom's was a typical bad and good feelings drawing. One side of the paper was made in grey tones while the other side was completely covered in bright colours.
Taehyung on the other hand made something that surprised Jungkook quite a bit. Taehyung's drawing was completely made in grey tones, sure the older boy wasn't done yet but there wasn't much room for some bright colours anymore.
Jungkook looked shortly over the older boy's drawing trying to wrap his head around the fact that his drawing seemed really somber and dark for the personality Taehyung showed all the time. It just didn't fit at all with the blonde boy's bright and bubbly aura. It didn't make sense at all and without noticing it himself Taehyung had caught the younger staring at his drawing. He could almost see the wheels turning in Jungkook's head. The younger boy not able to put two and two together.
A soft sigh left Jungkook's mouth before he continued on with his own drawing.
Taehyung really was a strange one.
