Chapter 44

Jungkook looked up at the street before him. He knew this wasn't where he should be but he had already agreed with the whole thing a few hours ago. Old but familiar feelings started to bloom inside Jungkook's body at the sight before him. He knew this place like the back of his hand. The smell was still the same and the lights were still broken. Not much had changed and somehow Jungkook liked that about this place. The place greeted him like an old friend that had been gone for too long.

Soft laughs could already be heard from behind the large building and Jungkook instantly recognised all of the voices. A small smile fell over his face while he made his way over towards them.

The ravenette turned the corner, the soft sound of his footsteps attracting the attention of the other boys instantly.

"THERE HE IS! OUR LONG LOST CHILD!" One of the boys shouted immediately before loud laughs erupted inside the group.

The ravenette put his hands up in surrender as an apology, the ghost of a smile still on his lips. "I know, I know. I'm sorry."

One of the boys threw a can of beer Jungkook's way, the ravenette catching it easily while he took a seat between them. "You better be. Choosing some lunatics over us, what were you thinking?" Another set of laughs surrounded them while the smile on Jungkook's face disappeared a little. He didn't want to talk about them right now, he was here to forget about them and not get reminded of them.

The ravenette opened the can of beer, taking a few sips of the drink before he turned his attention towards his friends again. They hadn't changed a bit in the last few months. They acted and looked exactly the same as they had always done and somehow that bothered Jungkook a little. He knew he wasn't the same anymore but at the same time it also made him feel safe to go back to something he knew so well.

He knew this life and these friends like the back of his hand. He knew the feelings that were inside his body right now and he knew how to handle them. He couldn't say the same about yesterday though. Yesterday had been a straight up disaster after he had taken Taehyung back to the ward. What started as a great night had turned into a nightmare for Jungkook. He regretted everything he had done towards the blonde with a passion. He hated himself for what he had done and he had no idea how to deal with it.

Talking to Seokjin wasn't an option, he had no idea how the elder would react if he told him he had taken the virginity of his patient in a not so caring way. That same reason ruled out Namjoon too. Yoongi had been an option if his boyfriend wasn't a good friend of Taehyung and his father wasn't home as usual.

With no one to talk to and nothing to get his mind out of the negative spiral that he had been in Jungkook had done the only thing he knew how to do if his feelings got too much; drink until you couldn't remember your own name.

It had taken him a few drinks before the heavy feeling started to leave his body and a few hours later he had been blacked out drunk on his bed. No feelings of him hurting Taehyung, him not being good enough for the blonde or self hatred occupied his mind anymore and he loved it.

It hadn't been a surprise that Jungkook had been hungover the next day but somehow that didn't stop him from answering his phone when one of his old friends had called. Before he knew it he had agreed to meet them tonight and shortly after he had canceled his plans with Yoongi, Jimin and Taehyung. He needed this, he needed to shut his mind off......at least that's what he thought.

With a soft sigh Jungkook looked back at his friends while he emptied the whole can of beer. He needed to get rid of the feelings that were slowly getting back inside his body. He needed to forget last night so badly.
Within a few seconds Jungkook had been handed a new can of beer while he tried to engage in the conversation the boys were having. Not really understanding the things the boys were talking about Jungkook emptied his second can of beer before he started to open his third.

A small buzzing feeling began to form in his head and the heavy feeling that was beginning to occupy his mind slowly started to leave his body. He liked this feeling. The feeling of not being drunk but not being sober either. It felt like floating and being happy at the same time. Now worries, nothing on your mind but still being able to understand.

Jungkook knew that feeling wouldn't last long though. One more can and he would be over that edge getting more drunk than sober.

"Let's go, I know someone that can get us inside for free." Jungkook suddenly heard from within the group and before he knew what was happening the ravenette had walked with them towards some kind of bar. It didn't take long before one of the boys had indeed gotten them in for free. Once inside they all started to spread like oil on a plate, not one of them looking out for the others. They all had one goal and that was either ending up with someone for a one night stand or getting drunk as hell. They never came to hang out and go home by themselves, they came to play and Jungkook knew that game all too well. To be fair he had been the best one of them back in the days, there hadn't been a day where he had ended up alone and he wasn't planning on changing that anytime soon. They say that old habits die hard and Jungkook was living proof of that statement right now.

Two hours and multiple cans of beer later the ravenette pushed a small boy against the wall of the club. The boy's hands all over his body and Jungkook's hands possessive against the wall behind the boy. With the boy now trapped behind his arms Jungkook allowed the red haired boy to push his shirt up a little while Jungkook closed him in even more. Deep breaths came out of both of their mouths but Jungkook never initiated anything more than a bit of touching. He didn't know why but something felt off about it. His body wanted nothing more than to take advantage of the boy before him. Hell he wanted to take him somewhere and fuck him like there was no tomorrow but something stopped him everytime he wanted to do a little more than touching. The boy was cute as fuck he knew that all too well but at the same time the boy wasn't cute enough to get his mind off of a certain blonde haired boy that was probably worrying where Jungkook was right now. No matter how drunk he got he just couldn't cross that invisible line that somehow seemed to be there.

Of course Jungkook had seen the seven missed calls on his phone, of course he had seen the multiple messages coming not only from Taehyung but also from Yoongi and Jimin. Of course he knew this wasn't where he was supposed to be but to be fair he didn't know where he did need to be. Being with Taehyung didn't feel good after what had happened between them but being here also didn't feel good anymore.

Second after second the heavy feeling that Jungkook had tried to get rid of so badly grew inside his body. Tears started to form in his eyes and the touches of the boy before him felt like hot burns against his skin. The sound of the bar was suddenly way too loud and the smell got way too overwhelming. He needed to get out of here, he needed to get some fresh air.

Within a second Jungkook had pushed the boy before him away and not even five minutes later Jungkook stumbled out of the bar. His breathing heavy and irregular while his body was shaking lightly. Not knowing where he was going Jungkook started to walk away from the club, anything to get rid of the hard sounds and the awful smell.

Tears started to flow out of his eyes, wetting his cheeks while soft sobs started to leave his mouth. No matter how hard he fought against them they never stopped. Every thought that had plagued his mind the last 24 hours came back full force and all his bottled up emotions started to come out all at once.

Not knowing where he was going Jungkook crashed down on the sidewalk, his knees hitting the stones pretty hard but it didn't bother him one bit. He knew he had cut them open but the pain was nothing compared to the pain he was feeling in his heart right now.

The sobs kept coming and his body was slowly starting to give up on him, he was shaking like there was no tomorrow and his breathing was a complete mess. He wasn't going to fix this alone and he knew it damn well. Hell he had tried that back in the days and he knew he couldn't do that anymore, there was nobody to fuck and help him get rid of these emotions. He was all alone and he knew it damn well.

With a shaking hand Jungkook grabbed his phone out of his pocket. The tears in his eyes made it hard to see his screen properly but he knew he needed to call somebody. If Seokjin had learned him something in all these lessons it was to call for help if you needed it and Jungkook was pretty sure he did need it right now.

With a soft click of his finger Jungkook pressed the call button before he brought the phone over towards his ear. More sobs started to leave his body while the phone kept trying to reach the other person. Seconds felt like minutes before Jungkook heard the familiar click on the other side of the phone that someone had finally picked up.

"Jungkook?"

A harsh sob erupted out of Jungkook's mouth.

"Joon, I need help."
