Chapter 35

Okay sure Jungkook liked the fact that he and his dad had talked a bit a few days ago but the thing that was happening right now was straight up ridiculous. It didn't make any sense at all and he could literally kill Jin for this whole thing. The freaking audacity......

"Kook, please work with Jin. I know you don't like this but it's better for the both of us." The way too familiar voice of his father sounded through Jin's office.

No this wasn't a joke and Jungkook had already guessed it the moment he saw his father's car parked in the parking lot of the hospital. Jin had indeed called Jungkook's father to join them for Jungkook's next session. Of course without letting the ravenette know and that's what made Jungkook even more pissed off. He wasn't here for some stupid family therapy, he was here for himself and lately Taehyung too but no, this wasn't something he wanted to do with his father. Their bond had been broken a long time ago and if they managed to stay hostile towards each other that was more than enough for the youngest of them all.

"Kook please, I want us to get along again.....I've already lost your mother. I don't want to lose you too." The older man almost begged his son, not knowing how to get Jungkook to cooperate with them.

A loud huff left Jungkook's mouth while he turned his head away from the two men before him. "You've lost me a long time ago. We're basically strangers to each other. We live under the same roof but that's it."

Jungkook's father looked down at his shoes, not knowing how to answer Jungkook's statement. Sure his son was right at some point but that had never been his intention. Things had gone out of control and he had no idea how to fix them back in the days....or rather he had no idea how to fix a clearly broken Jungkook back then.

Jin slowly stood up from his chair while he made his way over to the coffee machine in the corner of his office. With a small smile on his face he started to make three cups of coffee while he observed the conversation between Jungkook and his father. Sure he had been a little out of line for calling Jungkook's dad without permission but on the other hand he wouldn't have done it if he didn't believe that it could really help Jungkook. The young boy had done a wonderful job at fixing himself lately and Jin wanted to make the next step with him, a step that would hopefully restore his homelife a little and make things a little easier for the ravenette.

Jin put the cups of coffee down in front of everybody while he took place in his seat again. "Look, I haven't called this meeting for nothing. The relationship between you two is clearly broken and I truly believe that the both of you need to at least understand each other before either of you can move on in life and truly mourn the loss of your mother and wife. You two have lost each other on the way and we need to bring you back together. At least until a point where there aren't any fights anymore."

Jungkook raised his eyebrows in a challenging way, oh he so wasn't gonna cooperate with this bullshit at all. He wished Jin good luck trying.

"I know a few things Jungkook told me that are an issue in his opinion so since Jungkook isn't willing to talk about them himself I will be in his place." Jin saw how Jungkook started to open his mouth to protest but he didn't give him the chance to do so. "I don't care if you like this Jungkook, so for the sake of all of us accept what's happening here the next hour or so."

Again the ravenette lifted one of his eyebrows but this time he kept his mouth shut while he leaned back in his chair with a murderous look on his face and his arms folded in front of his body.

"Thank you." Jin spoke while he switched his attention towards mr. Jeon. "Jungkook told me you weren't home much after you lost your wife and the two of you got into a lot of fights."

A short silence fell over the group before Jungkook's father decided to speak up, tears slowly rolling down his face while he started at a loose point on the wall. "I never knew how to cope with the death of my wife, she was my everything so I did the thing that would take my mind off her death the most. I worked my ass off to stop the continuous flow of pain that was going on in my mind and I totally failed my job as a father back then." The eldest of them all looked at his shoes while a small tear dropped on the ground next to his leg.

"The moment I realised all of that Jungkook had already gone down a really bad road and I had no idea how to get him back to me and on the right track again. I've tried everything but I just don't know how to do it.......I just want my son back, I want him to be carefree and happy. Not angry and depressed. I fucked up and I know I did, I just don't know how to make it right again." mr. Jeon whispered the last part, clearly ashamed of himself.

Jungkook shorly looked over at his father, the only time he had seen the man cry was when his mother died so this was something new. He had no idea how to feel about all of it though, he had always known his father took the death of his mother hard but he hadn't known that his dad had tried to fix the relationship between them both back then. He had always seen his father's attempts as unwelcome advice or rules. Not once had he understood that his father was trying to bring Jungkook home again.

"I think it's really brave of you to speak so honestly about this mr. Jeon, anything to add Jungkook?" Jin asked while he diverted his attention towards the ravenette. "Anything positive that is."

Silence fell over the room but Jungkook had no desire to speak, besides he didn't even know what to say. His father fucked up, yes he knew that all along already. Nothing new on the horizon.

"Anything you could have done differently?" Jin tried again but there still didn't follow a reaction from the younger.

"Okay maybe you will understand when I answer for you. I think you also could have stayed a little more at home and you could have listened a little better to your father. Even when you two didn't get along back then he was still your father and from what I understand you lacked a lot of respect back then. I truly believe that both of you have been in the wrong and you two need to understand that before you can truly come back to each other. So if it's alright with you two I want to include your father in one of your sessions every week to try and bring you two a little closer again."

Jungkook was ready to protest but before he could his father had already spoken up that he really wanted to try this while looking at the ravenette. Jungkook didn't know what happened at that moment but the desperate look in his father's eyes and Jin's words did something to him. Maybe he did want his father back. Maybe this was what he needed and maybe that little boy who desperately wanted a dad was still somewhere in there.

So with a little hesitation Jungkook had agreed, immediately leaving the room after his words to avoid either his father and Jin for the rest of the day.

Without thinking the younger had walked towards the ward, speeding to Taehyung's room the moment Jackson had let him on the ward. He rapidly knocked on the blonde's door, hoping he could at least find a moment of peace with Taehyung. It didn't take long before the blonde had opened the door, his eyes full of surprise but a beautiful smile on his face. "KOOK!"

"Hey Tae, you got time?" Jungkook spoke softly, a hopeful look in his eyes.

Taehyung opened his door completely and he instantly gave the younger man a nod. "I always got time for you Kook, what's wrong? You seem off."

Jungkook walked inside Taehyung's room and took place on the elder's bed. With a deep sigh he started to explain what had happened while the blonde took a seat next to him. Their legs softly touching and Taehyung's hand instantly finding Jungkook's for support. The whole time Jungkook told his story the blonde never once interrupted him. He listened and was there for the younger, nothing more but more than enough for Jungkook.

The ravenette didn't know how it had happened exactly but somewhere along the way the both of them lied down on Taehyung's bed. Both of them on their back while staring at the ceiling. Their bodies softly touching and their hands still intertwined.

"Thank you for listening to me, I really needed that." Jungkook whispered softly while he slowly turned his head to look at the elder. Taehyung's eyes were still trained on the ceiling above them but the smile on his face told the younger one that he had heard him.

The ravenette's eyes shortly stayed on the blonde's face with only one thought going through his mind, a thought that scared Jungkook in more than one way. No way he was going to fuck up his friendship with Taehyung 'cause he mind had suddenly decided that Taehyung looked pretty in this light. Oh no that was so not going to happen.

With a soft chuckle Taehyung turned his head a little, their eyes crossing each other while Jungkook's heartbeat picked up like a bomb going to explode. "You're welcome."

The smile that followed those words fucked Jungkook up even more. Oh no, oh fuck no this wasn't going to happen. He was not getting feelings for the elder, no way. It was not gonna happen. No, hell no, no!

The soft warm lips of the blonde on Jungkook's cheek after that beautiful smile didn't make it anymore easy though.....
