A small smile was displayed on Jungkook's face. Yoongi had texted him this morning that he wanted to meet up in the park. The elder would finally introduce the person who had been taking up most of his time lately and of course Jungkook had instantly agreed to meet them both........well both wasn't completely correct. Yoongi's newfound partner would also bring a friend of his so it was the couple and someone else Jungkook would be meeting. The ravenette was quite excited to meet Yoongi's newfound love though. The elder seemed really happy when he talked about him and the guy sounded really fun and caring. According to Yoongi he was perfect and more than enough reason to stay away from the one night stands. There was no way he was going to lose the jackpot like Yoongi worded it.

Jungkook turned another corner in the park while he walked over to their regular meeting spot, the other three boys not there yet. Something Yoongi had already predicted since the boy they had to pick up would need some time to go with them. Jungkook hadn't exactly understood what Yoongi had meant by that but he hadn't cared enough to ask more about it. He would probably never see the boy again so he didn't wanna waste his time on him. Someone who he wanted to waste time on was Yoongi's partner though. If the boy managed to make Yoongi this happy he must be really special and Jungkook would love to learn more about him.

It didn't take long before Jungkook felt someone sitting down next to him and within an instant he had turned his head to be met with Yoongi's smiling face. "Morning Kook."

A huge smile broke out on Jungkook's face and he instantly greeted Yoongi back while he looked around himself to find the boy Yoongi had been talking about.

"He will be here in a second. They went to get some ice cream first, I didn't wanna keep you waiting any longer so I made my way over towards you already." Yoongi explained, gaining Jungkook's attention back. The younger of the two had no idea why you wanted ice cream at this time of the day but he guessed they probably had a good reason for it. Yoongi didn't seem to mind so he wouldn't too. The ravenette was sure both boys would be fine and nice so it wasn't a problem they were a little late. 

It didn't take long before both Yoongi and Jungkook got wrapped up in another conversation about their current lives again. Yoongi of course telling the younger about his current partner and his job while Jungkook told about his sessions and the patients there. Soft laughs left both their mouths occasionally and Jungkook couldn't be more proud of Yoongi for the huge change he had made in his life. A change Jungkook wanted to make himself too but wasn't completely ready for.

Suddenly a loud "YOONGS!" sounded from behind them and within an instant both boys had turned their heads. The only difference was the looks on their faces. While Yoongi had a huge smile plastered on his face Jungkook's face only showed complete shock.

"We didn't know if you two wanted ice cream so we got you something to drink." The smallest of the two boys spoke, a huge smile plastered on his face while he bounced over towards Yoongi to give him a kiss. It wasn't the small boy who got Jungkook's attention though but the boy that had walked next to him.

"Kook, this is my boyfriend Jimin." Yoongi suddenly spoke, ripping Jungkook's eyes away from the second boy. Without thinking Jungkook gave the boy he now knew as Jimin a small smile before he introduced himself.

"It's nice to meet you Jungkook, Yoongi has told me a lot about you." Jimin spoke happily while he wrapped his arms a little tighter on Yoongi.

A soft laugh left Jungkook's mouth. "Only good things I hope?"

Before Jungkook could do anything about it Yoongi had given him a soft push. "Of course you idiot, why would I tell negative things about you."

Jungkook softly shook his shoulders while the smile on his face was still there. He could already tell he was going to like this Jimin guy. The guy seemed nice and easy to speak with. He was energetic but to a level you could handle it and it was still cute without getting tired of it. Jungkook was sure Jimin was a bit older than him but he didn't seem like the guy who would use that against anyone. Jimin seemed like the person who wanted to make sure everybody was included and happy. A personality trait Jungkook wished he had himself but knew he didn't.

"Oh my god I almost forgot." Jimin suddenly exclaimed before he waved his friend over towards the three. Within an instant Jungkook's eyes were back on the boy and a deep sigh left his mouth. Why were the odds never in his favour? Why did it have to be him out of all people. 

The boy slowly walked around the bench while he handed a drink at Jungkook.

"This is-....." Jimin started but got interrupted by Jungkook almost instantly, the younger's voice low and slightly irritated. "Taehyung, we know each other."

A huge smile almost instantly broke out on Jimin's face and he motioned for Taehyung to take place next to him on the bench. "Great, that saves us the awkward introduction between you two. If you two don't mind I wanna borrow Yoongi shortly to buy something else to drink for myself."

Before any of them could react Jimin was already dragging Yoongi behind him towards the little shop a little further away. The elder gave Jungkook an apologetic look before he also turned around and walked after Jimin towards the shop. The two of them holding hands and playfully pushing each other every now and then.

"I didn't know if you liked Coke but I guessed you did so I hope you like it." Taehyung's voice suddenly sounded from next to Jungkook. The ravenette ripped his eyes away from the couple and focussed his vision on Taehyung who tried handing Jungkook the drink again.

With a soft sigh Jungkook grabbed the drink from Taehyung's hand while mumbling a soft thanks. 

A short silence fell between the two before Jungkook decided to speak up. "You knew I was gonna be here?" Jungkook took a small sip from his drink while he saw Taehyung shaking his head.

"Only after Jimin told me your name. I'm glad it's you instead of some stranger though." Taehyung smiled brightly while he ate some more of his ice cream. "Jimin takes me out of the ward every now and then, that's why I'm here if you're wondering. We have known each other for a few years now and he always takes me with him whenever he has the chance. I'm really glad Yoongi agreed to it to be honest. It's a nice day to be outside."

Jungkook fumbled a little with the drink in his hands before he looked back up at Taehyung. He couldn't say he was happy the elder was here but he also didn't have the heart to tell that to Taehyung. He couldn't help it. Jimin took him with them and now also decided to leave the both of them alone. As much as Jungkook wished it would have been anyone but Taehyung that wasn't the case and the only two options he had right now were be nice to Taehyung and stay with him or leave and probably upset both Jimin and Yoongi.

"Didn't you have any sessions today?" Jungkook tried to make some small talk with the blonde beside him. If he had to stay with him he could at least try to make the time go by a little faster.

Taehyung softly shook his head. "Not whenever Jimin comes and gets me. Jin makes sure I'm free whenever that happens since it doesn't happen often."

One of Jungkook's eyebrows raised a little, not really understanding what Taehyung was hinting at. "You don't get out of there much?" Taehyung shook his head a little while he kept eating his ice cream. "Why not?"

The blonde raised his shoulders a little while he avoided Jungkook's eyes. "There aren't many people who can come and get me. I don't have any family left and Jimin isn't always available. I've got two other friends but they also don't have much time. Jin doesn't let me go by myself so that's why." Taehyung told calmly. Almost too calm for Taehyung, this wasn't the behaviour Jungkook usually saw of him but at the same time it was a side of Taehyung he had seen a few times before now. Sure Taehyung was the hyperactive bubbly boy Jungkook had seen his first day in the hospital but he had also seen a more reserved and calm version of him every now and then for a short period of time.

Jungkook didn't know why but he almost felt bad for Taehyung. Nobody deserves to be locked up so much inside the ward if it wasn't necessary. Of course Jin would have his reasons to not let Taehyung go out alone but Taehyung couldn't help it he didn't have many people to visit him and take him out every now and then.

"I love to be outside though." Taehyung continued. "It happens so rarely that every time it does happen it feels really special."

If Jungkook didn't feel bad for the elder already he now surely did. While going outside was the most normal thing for Jungkook, it was a highlight in Taehyung's life. Something that shouldn't even be a highlight but a normal common thing for everybody. 

Before Jungkook really knew what he was doing he had already asked the elder to take a walk around the lake with him. If this was a rare occasion for Taehyung Jungkook would at least give the elder the opportunity to see a little bit more from the world then just their view from the bench. The fact that Taehyung got excited about almost everything on their way while they walked around the lake added only more to the sad feeling Jungkook felt for Taehyung. As much as he didn't like the boy nobody deserved this.

It was at that moment Jungkook began to understand how different their lives really were and how lucky he was to be on the good side of the stick.
